Coming from the US where we are used to super fresh sushi, this seemed not very fresh. The fish tasted fishy. It smelled fishy inside the restaurant when you walk in. It had great reviews which is why we chose to go but overall we weren’t very impressed. Unfortunately, we would not recommend.

L’expérience a été mémorable du début à la fin. Le cadre est élégant et moderne, avec une ambiance raffinée mais décontractée. Le service était impeccable, le personnel était à la fois attentif, professionnel et très sympathique. Côté cuisine, tout était absolument délicieux. Les sushis étaient d’une fraîcheur exceptionnelle, bien présentés et parfaitement équilibrés en saveurs. Le sashimi Toro fondait littéralement en bouche, et le Ryu Rainbow est à essayer absolument ! La carte des vins et des cocktails est aussi très bien pensée.

We were so excited to round out our food experience in Montreal with some sushi. The food was ok and the room is beautiful. I have to say it was the worst service we received in the city. Unattentive, no check-in’s and unfriendly. The two tables next to us sat uncleared and dirty for the duration of our stay which was over an hour.

Never had sushi this fresh. Super awesome!!! Don't miss it if you are in Montreal. I live by the sea and eat sushi all the time. Just incredible and Frank the waiter was engaging, friendly and made you feel very welcome.

We had an amazing experience for our anniversary dinner; the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. They were attentive and took the time to discuss the menu with us, offering wine suggestions. The food was out of this world, so fresh, tasty, and beautiful presentation. Would return for sure

Ryu is hands down my favourite sushi spot in Montreal—nothing compares. The sushi is always exceptional, the service is flawless, and the staff make every visit feel special. Can’t recommend it enough!
