Ryfe Restaurant and Bar
Service was very poor and disrespectful. Never saw a waiter, and management was being discriminatory. Sad we got treated like second class citizens and were forced to leave. As a visitor doing emergency essential work for New Jersey I would never recommend this place to any corporations in our industry.
Appetizers and main course came out at same time. Ordered separately. Plates had to be warmed up. Service could have been better waitress not very attentive. 15% gratuity applied to bill with terrible service.
We often operate as a free-flow kitchen during peak hours during this Covid situation as the flow of guests is heavily weighted toward dinner hours. Sorry your server did inform you. With a large group of international & out of town guests, the gratuity addition has been made to keep folks from giving no tip to our servers because they were unaware or do not understand common tipping etiquette. The service fee is a removable fee if you believe the server did not perform their job adequately.

Mahi tacos Were delicious. Made a substitution and the order arrived correctly. Solid lunch spot.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Did you eat at the restaurant? Napkins and silverware are provided to each guest. The restaurant owner was not at the restaurant on 8/3 also so I think there may have been someone there saying they were him? Not sure. Did you bring any of these items to the attention of server or manager while you were there so they could be addressed? Happy to work with you so we can improve.
When I arrived, I was greeted very nastily by a woman who later identified herself as Ashley, the general manager. I went to check in and let her know that my party was early for our reservation, but we didn’t mind waiting. Her immediate response, in a nasty tone of voice, was “you’re going to have to give me a minute, we’re very backed up”, despite there being many open tables in the small outdoor /space. I said no problem and walked back to my party. A couple then approached her and she immediately sat them. Eventually, we were sat at our table, by Ashley who told us that our server was Brittany, and she would be over soon, and if not feel free to throw something at her (Ashley) to get her attention. After about 20 minutes, and no Brittany, a young guy came over and told us that Brittany has too many tables, and that he would be our server. He was very attentive, and brought us everything we asked for, but definitely either a newbie, or a busboy that they just asked to be a server for the night. As we continued with our meal, we noticed that every time the door opened, and a server or kitchen staff bringing food out, none of the staff had their masks on their face. Overall the food wasn’t out of this world, and the service sucked, and gratuity is already added to your check no matter your party size.
Sorry you had a slow dinner service. :( We're really struggling with personnel & service levels during the Covid situation as literally everything has changed, our process into and out of the dining area, entering orders, new staff, and just the sheer distance between the tables and the ordering system and the kitchen. But we're getting better! Hope you'll reach out & give us another try as we're constantly striving to improve our service and service staff to meet our customers expectations.
Good food. More of it would have been nice (we had to get pizza later that night as we were still hungry). OK beer selection. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Clean and inviting. I’ll give it another shot when I’m back in AC.

service and food prep was bad.....257$ check got 5 dinners delivered one at a time over the course of an hour, none of us ate at same time, no explanation food when received was good crab cakes were great, however we went out to eat together not one at a time 55 minutes between first meal and last and no one apologized, not a free desert etc
Sorry we didn't provide the experience you expected. During peak times during Covid we often need to operate as a free flow kitchen to keep up with the distance and number of orders/guests we are getting daily. But your server should have informed you of that process. Give us a call and we'll send you a gift certificate for a future meal and thanks for the feedback.
Was coming from Philadelphia and running late after checking into my hotel. Due to the pandemic, they were closing at 11PM, but honored my 10:30 reservations at 10:50. All that said, me and my date had steaks that were cooked as well as any steakhouse. The truffle fries were delicious and drink glasses were on point. Ended up tipping both the manager and the waitress for not ruining a great date night with someone special... will definitely go back the next time I’m in AC to try the rest of the menu.

We realize during this difficult time that the format and level of service may not be optimal. We also recognize that this is a brand new restaurant that never even had an opportunity to get off the ground because of the pandemic. Despite that, the food was delicious. I had the shrimp and pasta and my husband had the pork chop both were perfectly prepared. The only shortcomings were having to ask for water, a shortage of what appeared to be utensils and napkins and no bread was offered with our meal but overall the outside dining experience and the food was great

Great food, surprisingly nice Mexican cuisine. Truffle fries were amazing. Little hiccup when I got there, they didn’t have my open table reservation but after talking with the manager they figured it out.

Yes, we're hiring new wait staff all the time with the Covid situation affecting our ability to find and keep great people. And, the kitchen gets backed up during dinner service due to the high influx of orders between 6p and 9p and the new distance we need to move food and food items (front of house to back of house and vice versa). If you give us another try please ask for a manager and let them know your feedback. We love constructive feedback as much as positive. Only way to get better!
Very nice place to seat down have a few drinks food was pretty good as well had fish and chips wish the service was a littie bit better and faster but great environment drinks were great as well

This restaurant is new and I have to say that I will be back. The owner/chef , John came out to our table and was the nicest guy I met, I wish him great success and can’t wait to visit again.

Service was a little slow. It was towards the end of the night. We waited about 15 minutes for appetizers but drinks were good. Overall a good experience, service just could’ve been a little quicker.

It was a 2.5 mile walk from our hotel, and we prayed we made the right choice. We were so outstandingly pleased with the food and their cocktail specials (Mexican Mule and Orange Crush)!

We had a nice dinner outdoors at Ryfe. We made a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. They did a nice job with the patio even though you are just on a main road, not a whole lot to look at. Service was fast which we appreciated since we had our 6 year old with us. The specialty cocktails were very yummy. Food was good, not great but solid. Great option and they took proper precautions for COVID-19, servers wearing masks etc.

Waited over 30 mins even though we had a reservation. 7 of us dined and we all complained of the same thing, the food lacked flavor/seasoning and rice was undercooked and hard.

We had a large group that ordered a myriad of food. Every single thing was delicious. Our favorite dining experience while on vacation, by far. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!!

Unfortunately my girlfriend and I came when the tremendous rain and thunder of the night started and we really wanted to dine here :( Only stayed in AC for a few nights and didn’t get a chance to return. we did however take food out and it was pretty good! Recommend you give it a shot!

We went here for my daughter’s birthday and had a wonderful time from start to finish. We chose it because they have outdoor seating and advertised their covid precautions so we felt safe visiting there. When we arrived, we found the nicest table set to us and labeled with a happy birthday sign. We all ordered different burgers and they were all delicious. The roasted cauliflower was probably the best I’ve ever had. The server was sweet and attentive. At the end, they brought out cake with a candle and special decorations and sang happy birthday. Highly recommend!
