Rye Street Tavern
Consistently an exceptional experience. Been here many times.
Ate at the bar. Had the brunch menu. Great burger. Really nice environment. Great service.
First of all We appreciated the valet service. Very professional and courteous young people. We ate at the bar and also received top rate service. Dinner was fantastic and we will definitely return.
Seated at bar areA... very drafty and service was friendly but a little slow
Always a great experience. Dood is wonderful and service is great!! I would highly recommend.
The food was just ok for the price. We waited over 30mins for our main meal to arrive. Considering that this was a pre-fixed menu they fell short of our expectations. The saving grace was the service which was great.
Great new year’s eve dinner!
pros: Great atmosphere and our waitress was very nice/attentive...cons: kitchen and bar took a long time getting out the drinks and food
It was my first time. I liked it but my fish tacos were less than superb. I should have gotten my first choice which was the fish sandwich. The ambience was really cool.
First impressions are always lasting impressions. I stepped out of my car and was met with a couple of the nicest kids working the valet service. Once inside the food was very good although the menu was limited and a little expensive. The entire staff was knowledgeable about the dishes as well as the drinks.
Frequent diners. Always great food and efficient, polite service. Salads were wonderful and fish entrees were excellent. A bit pricey, but worth it on special occasions.
Great service. Some entrees were rather small given the price point, but all very well executed. Everything was very good, both service and food. None of us were blown away by any dish. One person in our party came down ill the next morning, but the rest of us were fine.
We celebrated Christmas eve and we were not disappointed with the meals nor service. The restaurant is on our "be back" list.
Plan on returning
Liz was fantastic. Managers were fantastic. Food even better. All around great time. Come here for anything. Great job.
I took my team out for the holidays and we had an amazing time. The food and service was amazing!!!
They were setting up for their staff Christmas party, but the staff was friendly, they were knowledgeable and as always the design and attention to detail were impeccable. Caution to vegetarians! Their menu does not identify items that appear to be vegetarian but are not... beams have meat in them, etc. it would be nice if they detailed their menu a bit more.
A great compliment to the distillery visit - food was great and service matched.
Waiting almost 30 minutes passed our reservation to be seated.
I loved this restaurant for our anniversary! Beautiful view of the harbor, excellent food and cocktails, and wonderful service!
Music was a tad loud and not my taste, but that was the only downside and I will definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!
Food was very disappointing and we thought the drinks were average and overpriced. The restaurant was loud and the service was not great. We would be in no rush to return. Anytime soon.
We had our 2nd Thanksgiving there and it was lovely. The oysters were great and the ceviche was superb. The corn bread (with a little jalepeno) was so delicious we asked to take a loaf home (and got a yes). The turkey, brussel sprouts, cranberries and mashed potatoes were all better than home made by far!
Our server, Veronica, was lovely and helpful. The food was delicious as always. Parking is not easy but the food is worth it.
We had a 7:45 reservation and were not seated until 8:30. It was particularly loud, and the food was just ok.
Excellent food and great service!
The food was good although the portions are small. The oyster apps only can with 4. I thought oysters came in dozens or half dozens. Hmmmm. The place was very very noisy. We were in the dining room at 9:00pm and had to almost shout at one another to be heard. We sat at a two top facing one another. The service was fair. A little slow. But friendly. A nice place but not worth the premium you pay for the drinks and the food.
Superb restaurant in South Baltimore that is fit for foodies. Excellent Happy Hour with drink and food specials and excellent dinner entrees. I’d recommend it to everyone.
Everything was incredibly well done. Cozy atmosphere, exquiste food, and lovely service - GO
great venue, atmosphere. menu is good. drinks are the best and the bartenders make the place !
Food was delicious. Restaurant was busy; courses took a bit too long to come out. Server was not as attentive to us as he should have been.
This is the second time we have had a disappointing experience. It took 45 minutes for our appetizers to come out - our appetizers were cold items like salads and crab and an additional hour for our entrees. When we checked in with the manager and he said he would check on our entrees he actually went out side and was outside checking in with tables out there. He never went into the kitchen or checked in with our server. Although we were treated to a round of drinks, there was no apology. Nothing was done to fix the situation and when our food was finally served it was cold.
It is such a beautiful place, just wish the food and service offered more.
Wonderful food and service! This was our second time and we will continue to come back whenever we are in Baltimore!
Tried Rye Street Tavern once before and hoped it was just an anomaly - decided to give it a try again and it was basically the same thing. Beautiful buildings, lovely views, great service...all very, very nice! If you're just there for the tour + cocktails, you're in the right place. If you're there for food, turn around and go somewhere else. The food is OKAY, but ridiculously overpriced and there are not enough options on the menu. We got the crab balls last time and they were mostly bread with very little flavor. Drinks were good, and may try the tour sometime but the food is meh and SO EXPENSIVE.
Delicious cocktails and food! The burger is incredible. Very overpriced but the atmosphere, food and service make up for it. Definitely save this spot for a special occasion!
Excellent experience always. I took some fellow locals from Alexandria there and a friend from Baltimore there for dinner. They were blown away by the bar, drinks, decor, service and the food!! Excellent!!
We went here for my boyfriends birthday and were lucky that the restaurant wasn’t crowded but it was still so loud that we almost had to shout across the table to have a conversation. Food was just okay and the wait staff kept interrupting our dinner. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Third time at Rye Street Tavern. Same conclusion. The food doesn’t match the service and decor which are both outstanding. With a limited amount of options to choose from on the menu, every one should be outstanding and that is not the case
I have been here several times and had good service and great food. This visit was a disappointment however. The service was not great. My dining partner is a vegetarian, and mentioned it to our server before she ordered. What she selected turned out to have bacon in it which was not listed in the menu description. I ordered a second glass of sparkling wine that never showed up. I had to ask 3 people until it came. Nobody seemed to know what was going on. One server came over and asked if she could box anything whilst we were still clearly eating .
