We really enjoyed our evening at Rye, we were celebrating my husband birthday..when we walked in we were greeted and seated right away(we did have reservations) the atmosphere was amazing, the food was great and the drinks were amazing. Love the SEA-CUTERIE it’s a must have everything was very fresh. The salmon dish was excellent and the star of the show was the Banana Foster dessert which was recommended from our waiter Sharon. Everything was great but what made this experience a great one was the waiter personality was the best and every single suggestion was on point. We will definitely be back very soon. Thank You for providing excellent service and excellent food.

The wife and I visited for the first time and we will be going back. Food and drinks were fantastic. Customer service was very good.

Feedback for Rye Restaurant I’ve been a loyal OpenTable user for over 7 years and was disappointed by the treatment we received upon arrival for our reservation at 6:45 PM. We arrived at 6:49 PM, well within the standard 15-minute grace period. However, the hostess was dismissive and scolded me about being late, which was not only unnecessary but also unprofessional. To make matters worse, the table wasn’t even ready when we arrived, and we were initially seated near the kitchen despite having noted in our reservation that we were celebrating my daughter’s 22nd birthday with a party of five. Thankfully, a manager or supervisor intervened and accommodated us upstairs, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our waiter was not informed of the birthday, which added to the disappointment. This was meant to be a special occasion, and while the food was excellent as always, the front-of-house staff consistently falls short. This is my third negative experience with a hostess at this restaurant. Rye has incredible potential, but the hostess staff sets the tone for the evening, and when that tone is dismissive or hostile, it affects the entire experience. I sincerely hope leadership takes steps to improve front desk hospitality, as I’m now unsure whether I’ll return.

Popular place with good food. Server Carla was friendly and efficient, despite having several large tables. The noise level can get very loud inside (it was pouring rain so we ate inside on first floor). Parking requires signing in with your car license plate number and state, using a QR code. Fortunately, the hostess helped those who are less tech-savvy than most.

The bar must have been very busy as our cocktails were served to us when our entrees arrived (after our appetizers).

Dining at Rye Street Tavern was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, the view of the waterfront set the tone for a relaxed but elevated experience. The rustic-chic décor, with its cozy lighting and open kitchen vibe, made it feel both stylish and inviting.

Ambiance is top tier especially when dining outside. Service is always amazing. All the servers are always knowledgeable of the menu and give the best recommendations. This time we had the rockfish, catfish, can dip, fried chicken bowl, bourbon peach sangria. All were fantastic! Norman was our server and was stellar!

The food was pretty good, but our main entrees arrived warm rather than hot. One of my other diner’s entrees was not even warm. The butter on her waffle did not melt at all. The shrimp & grits starter was quite good. I was disappointed in the orange juice. It was very tart and not at all sweet. I would expect a restaurant at this level to serve fresh squeezed orange juice. Finally, the service was ok, but not stellar. Since we had a party of 6, we were billed a 20% tip on a $300 total which I feel was too much for the service we received. I would’ve tipped 12-15%. Also, one of the servers who brought our food had a serious body odor problem that management should’ve discussed with him privately before having him serve diners their food.
