Very good atmosphere, helpful servers, good menu and very nice bar. You must try the fried chicken as it is the most delicious.
Good food with a nice presentation. Clark was a great server.
Nice waitstaff and good ambiance for catching up with friends
Rye-Leawood is one of our favorite restaurants. We have tried Rye on the Plaza and the offerings are not as good and the service not up to par. We have had a different waiter/waitress each time we have been there and all have been terrific. The waitress we had Saturday night was excellent.
My favorite entree is the Cobia, wood grilled. I have not seen this offered in any other restaurant in KC. I am a saltwater fisherman and have caught these fish several times in the Gulf of Mexico.
Great atmosphere, excellent service, and terrific food. What more could you ask?
Best cocktails around! Our server was very helpful in suggestions and our food was delicious! Who knew Brussels sprouts could taste so good?!
Great food and location
Ok but Nothing Exceptional... 3rd time giving Rye/Leawood a try in the past couple years and walked away with the same feeling as before — food nothing special and service excellent. Crab fritters well prepared w a spicy aioli that gave a nice pop of flavor. Good wine list and servers exceptional. They have their timing down! Nothing memorable or standout w the menu overall and somewhat pricey for most offerings.
The quality of Rye’s food and service never disappoints. When weather is warm enough to dine outside, Rye is hard to beat. Winter dinner leaves a bit to be desired as the restaurant is a bit noisy, and unless seated in one of the corners, ambiance is lacking. Love it never-the-less.
The food was great and we were seated almost immediately. Our server, I cannot remember his name was just foul. If I’m going to drop almost $400 for a businessdinner, give me a smile once in awhile. Holy crap.
My wife’s birthday, celebration. The Quail outstanding, my wife had the Fried Chicken, our daughter the Shrimp and Grits. Great food for the value.
Oh yes, dessert the pie and the sundae topped off the evening
Celebrated daughter's birthday. I didn't know about their Steak special on Mondays but it is a great value on fantastic food. This has been, is, and will be my "go to" place for a great meal out.
Excellent food and service. We were there 2 hrs and never felt we were being forced out. Next time I would ask to be seated in the back room , front too loud.
Waiters were fantastic❣ Our group of elderly people wanted to move because of noise level! Our water in Leawood Ks was more than accommodating🎈 We will be back🎈 Loved the food 😊
This place never fails. Start with an Old Square and go from there. Fantastic food & service.
Awesome as always!
Already looking forward to the next visit. Great place.
Staff is awesome and food is always delicious!
Great food, great service, have dined here several times, both for family occasions & business events and have never been disappointed. Worth every penny if you want a superior dinning experience that matches your mood and requirements from family friendly to business savvy and everywhere in between. Just give the staff a heads up prior to your special event and they will accommodate your needs or just drop in and be pleasantly surprised.
Been to Rye 3 times and all 3 times has been great!
The shrimp and grits are amazing!
Ask the waiters anything about the menu and it's like talking to the chef themselves. Very knowledgeable and very personable.
They mentioned that they will possibly be opening the outside early this year which is awesome and pretty big overlooking the water.
Food was great. Hostess was rude.
Wait staff was friendly and prompt.
Men's room was appalling - at only 5 pm, restroom was dirty, and all the sheetrock walls broken out. Fix it.
The food and service at Rye never disappoints! Top notch as usual.
The light above our was having issues and it was a little loud but man it was good!!
We had a double date with my sister and we really enjoyed it. My husband asked if we could come back for our anniversary
Kind of hit or miss on the items we ordered, but we'll give it another shot. Had mushroom toast appetizer. It tasted great, but the bread was not toasted. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits, they were amazing! The "famous" fried chicken was dry and some parts were cold. It's like they fried it the day before and reheated in the microwave. The Parker House rolls and corn bread were not fresh. Service was fantastic and the cocktails were perfect.
Very tasty brunch. Burnt end omelette, yum!
Food great as always. Steak night price has gone up but it's still a pretty good bargain. May slow my usual attendance cadence.
Phenomenal food, fantastic service. We have high standards after living in Charleston, but enjoyed everything we had. Only thing disappointing was the Mokan Pie. I looooved the peanut butter and banana cream pie though, they were wonderful!
Nothing special concerning food for the high prices.
We are repeat customers at Rye for a reason. Best meal you can get in the KC suburbs, and service is always fantastic.
We have been to Rye several times - it's a favorite of ours. However, this was our first time here for brunch with friends. Table enjoyed their drinks. Cinnamon roll was AMAZING (and huge)! Two of us had the eggs benedict - yummy and cooked perfectly. Another had the burnt ends hash which we all agreed was delicious and something I would definitely order myself in the future. Husband had the burger, which he said was just OK, nothing special. Will definitely return for brunch and look forward to trying some of the other breakfast items and pastries.
Food was boring and blah. $15 Cocktails poured into small glasses...gimme a break. The cigarette cocktail was killer though!
One of the best brunches i've had in town and great staff! Food is amazing!
Food is good, ambience is good. Service can be a bit slow if its busy so prepare yourself for that.
Seating on the bench is awful when another couple is seated next to you. Dinner for two was 179. Including tip. Steak was full of fat and cold. We had to send it back.
Probably won’t go back. The best part of our meal was the house salad, it was dressed perfect. And our server was outstanding.
Outstanding dining experience! As usual for Rye!
Everything really good but server was poor. I won’t hold that against restaurant since I’ve been several times and have had no issues in the past
We were so disappointed. We have dined at Rye before and have recommended it to friends because we loved it, after this experience we no longer will. We ordered two different pork dishes, my fiances was so under done it looked like it was raw, mine was the special and was so dry and over cooked it looked like it had been kept warm under a hot light for hours.
Our waitress rarely checked on us, didn't go through the specials we had to get her attention to get drinks more than once, incorrectly told us they were out of the bourbon we asked for and generally spent more time talking behind the bar with coworkers then helping.
We were seated in the back room which has the lights on like it is a cafeteria. Our bread came shortly before dinner arrived, cold.
It was like eating at a TGIF not a nice restaurant. Rye - you are getting this review so you read, listen and retrain. This was our valentine's treat for ourselves, you couldn't have done a worse job.
Ultra professional, and personable staff from beginning to end. Incredible food!
Our first time having the tomahawk steak, what a show stopper! The taste was sublime! Mouth watering delicious and tender! The funny thing is they wrapped the big bone for us to take home it was longer than our Lil dog! He loves dragging it around!
Rye is our 'go to' for special occasions and a quality dinner date with my wife. Cocktails are excellent, especially the Old Fashions. Entrees are impeccable and deserts are a wonderful conclusion. Highly recommend.
