We celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary at Ryan’s and it was fantastic. Our server Matt was exceptional!
This was my first trip to any restaurant since March. It was such a wonderful experience. Everyone was taking precautions to make our visit special.
Dinners at Ryan are always done Especially well and the staff has just the right amount of attentiveness.
This past visit the filets my wife and I had were both undercooked for what we prefer and what we ordered, but they were still delicious.
We love Ryan’s for any really Special occasion.
We have been coming here for over 40 years!
Thank you Ryan for your fine Dining!
Ryan's proved to be perfect for our first dine in meal since the closings due to Covid 19. We felt safe and the entire experience was wonderful as always.
It was our first time there for 3 of us...we really enjoyed it. Nice view of bridge and lights.
Great service. Amazing food! Chefs are very talented
The service was great and the food was delicious.
They were out of prime filet. Evidently part of food shortages due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
Excellent. We have enjoyed dining there on multiple occasions. It is consistent in quality and service
An absolute must. You won’t be disappointed. Everything is top notch, even during Covid 19.
Great food, great service, and nice ambiance! Celebrated our anniversary there and it was perfect!
First night out in 3 months due to quarantine and it was a fantastic evening. Appreciated the safety protocols being placed on a sign before entering. Felt safe and the food was amazing!!
As always we have great service and great food even with all the things going on in the world. Our server was wonderful and made our date night special
Anniversary - great food and great service. Highly recommend!
Ryan’s is always our go to restaurant for all special occasions !! Never disappoints !
Excellent place to go for a special occasion. Would highly recommend!!!
It was our 24th anniversary. Very special occasion. Our waitress hardly acknowledged us. Never engaged in conversation except for the very basic needs. We watched her talk to some of her older couple tables. We love this place and the food is always so good but our waitress was so impersonal tonight and that was very disappointing.
Food was outstanding and service is always impeccable. They helped us celebrate our recent marriage and my husband’s birthday. I had.grouper, and it was hands down the best I have ever eaten.
Only complaint was trying to get in and out because of protesters
We were in Pinnacle for two nights and really wanted a nice meal out, the Open Table reviews led us here. The hosts were welcoming and we had the most amazing server Netty show us to our table against the window overlooking the trees below. The wooden bridge lit up with lights under those trees really set the scene. My husband was so excited to see oysters on the half shell with mignonette. So many places anymore just offer the horseradish and ketchup. Those oysters were slurped up quickly. He was delighted again with the Caesar salad with the optional anchovies. Not just one anchovy but several. I had the Ryan’s special salad and it had a good amount of nuts and blue cheese. The special wagyu strip steak was very flavorful and tender; hubby had the filet that was tasty and perfectly prepared. All was washed down with a fruit forward French Rose’. Netty was attentive, personable and witty. Anyone could tell she really likes her clientele. My apologies if I did not spell her name right.
We made a special trip to Winston-Salem to eat here and the food was excellent!! We had steak (CAB filet), lobster and a few apps, everything was fabulous. Service was very accommodating even though we had a later seating and the kitchen was closing soon we didn't feel rushed. Ambience was on par with your typical higher end steakhouse, overall would definitely recommend a visit
Enjoyed our birthday celebration dinner.
Food was delicious as always. Service was a bit slow but we enjoyed our meal !
We had a really nice time here. The waiter was very knowledgeable and made really good selections. Food was excellent! Great visit!
It was quiet till we showed up. Everyone had an awesome time. Davis did a great job serving.
I wish I could remember our waiters name, he was absolutely fantastic! He was funny and charming and an overall delight I will definitely be back!
We were looking for a very nice restaurant with great food. Everyone recommended Ryan's. Told us it is the best place in town. Unfortunately maybe we've been spoiled by high end restaurants in Minneapolis and Naples, FL but we did not have a high opinion of Ryans. With the great reputation that they have, we expected much more. It is a scenic location but the restaurant itself looks more like a rustic fish camp building. Service was pretty good but in no way comparable to a Capital Grill. Food was less than amazing. Asian meatballs were highly recommended but fell far short of what we're used to. Their "classic oysters Rockefeller" were anything but classic. Covered with a thick layer of cheese (looked like Cheese Whiz)...never ever seen a recipe for them that called for a layer of cheese on top. Steaks were served as a piece of meat on a plate - with nothing else, not even any kind of garnish to make it look better. Sides were served separately on saucers. Not my idea of a high class (and expensive) restaurant.
Sadly, we were disappointed and will continue to look for a great restaurant in the area.
Awesome service and food! Stephanie is the best!
Everything was perfect!
Excellent presentation, wonderfully prepared food and outstanding service.
Servers were not wearing masks or gloves but excellent social distancing. Food as usual was excellent and service impeccable friendly and considerate.
We always enjoy everything about Ryan's. However, with this virus situation I would have expected to see more of the staff wearing masks and/or gloves. I only saw 1 worker wearing a mask.
Ryan’s is perfect for a that special night with the one you love !! The atmosphere was very welcoming and the servers really know about the food that is being served.
The only thing was that the food was not seasoned as well. It was lacking salt and flavoring. Very bland filet mignon and the spinach was too.
Always a pleasant experience! Great food and service!
Ryan's delivers again, with all the delays of the pandemic, they rise to the occasion and perform like they never were shut down, congrats to the owners, the staff, everyone, kudos to all of you!
Really special treat, beautiful, and delicious food
Great place. Great atmosphere. Great food. The only negative was a loud young lady next to us that maybe had a little too much wine.
A very nice evening. It was so nice to be able to have dinner in a restaurant again! The service was impeccable. The wagyu steak tartare was spot on delicious. It was well worth the 75 mile drive. We will be back again.
Every time I’m in Winston-Salem I make sure I dine at Ryans. My favorite restaurant. There’s an atmosphere are always consistently excellent. Nice people, great food.
Ryan’s is known for good food and service but the special part is being tucked away “ inside the woods” while still in a city.
We had not been to Ryan’s for a long time but decided to try it when it was one of the first restaurants to reopen .
Our visit 2 weeks ago was “5 stars” with a great friendly server, excellent food, and a table that took advantage of the great “ woodsy “ location .
As my husband and I have love to dine out several times a week , we decided after that visit to put Ryan’s in our frequent dining rotation.
With great expectations, we went again and were very disappointed.
Though it was early and the restaurant was not crowded , the hostess packed the room opening to the bar/serving station and we were given what must be the worst table in the restaurant in a corner against the wall. Not only is there no view, our view was of the bartender with all the servers brushing past us in the narrow entry. When asked to move, we were told they expected to be busy. We ate as fast as we could as there was no enjoyment in watching the staff constantly file past to the serving bar or the seeing the TV in the bar. Even when we left there were plenty of tables in the airy wide open rooms with great view to the woods. Not sure why this poor table or even this secondary room was even used that evening but it sure wrecked what we anticipated to be a quiet fine dining experience
