We spent new year's eve at the hotel and booked our supper at Ryan Duffy's My fiancee is very allergic to fish but thoroughly enjoyed the caesar salad without the anchovies. We were celebrating our engagement and were treated to a complimentary drink each

Service was AMAZING! Food wasn’t that great. Cold food and overpriced. But our server made the evening for us. He was great!

I was very disappointed with the food. I was given a gift certificate and was so excited to have a great meal! But it was not good at all. They had no fish available. The oyster appy with lobster was bland. They made a ceasar salad at the table and when they served it I had egg yolks running down the side of my bowl and it tasted nothing like ceasar dressing . Then our $59 rib eye steak was burnt on one side and the sauteed mushrooms were so burnt we had to return them! I was expecting an amazing meal and left there totally disappointed. I would only go back there again if they refunded my $125 gift card and promised that my next meal would be awesome.

I did not like my steak and sent it back. It didn't taste like steak and it didn't smell like steak. Not going back there ever.

Unfortunately, much of the menu was not available. With recall of romaine lettuce some of this was understood but there were quite a few dishes without lettuce that were not available. Having said this, the lunch was a business lunch and the atmosphere was appropriate and service was pleasant (and apologetic for the menu restrictions).

The person who served us was lovely and timely. The atmosphere was fine. Very few customers while we were there. The food unfortunately was over priced and underwhelming. Not the experience we remembered from many years ago.

Years ago, it used to be great. Their table-side caesar was amazing - as were their steaks. In our most recent visit, the caesar is now plain, unexciting, with little flavour. I opted for the dry-aged strip-loin (at a considerable price) which arrived over-done, hard, and grizzly. Kudos to them for not charging me for it. The people there are still great, but the restaurant was basically empty - I left feeling sorry for them - it used to be our fav in Halifax.
