Ruth's Chris Steak House - Tulsa Ratings and Reviews
Overall, the experience was good but nothing special. The room is very pleasant and the staff are excellent. We ordered a Caesar salad that was drenched in dressing and garlic and was awful. Several of us had a filet for our entree and the meat was O.K. but nothing any better than a steak from a less expensive restaurant. It was tender but not very flavorful. In all honesty, I don't think the food is of a quality that justifies the high cost.
The food and service was excellent, it was a Friday evening and they were busy so it was a little noisy but that should be expected on a busy night. We were attending a show that evening and our server made sure we got our food quickly so we didn't feel rushed to eat. I look forward to dining there again.
Was nice they were open thanksgiving for dinner. Has spent several nights in the hospital with a parent and didn’t have time to cook. Great wine selection and food menu. Did none in filet and split with my husband. It was good. However we ordered Brussel sprouts and they didn’t arrive until we were done
We were celebrating my sister's birthday. They provided a free dessert, but we were already done with our coffee. The service was slow. And of course the price point is over-the-top bad. Everything is additional cost. My table mates did enjoy their steaks very much. My lamb was gamey and surprisingly fatty.
My husband and I went there on a date night before a concert. My steak was perfect. His steak, a New York strip, came out rare and he had ordered medium. We sent it back (and we rarely send back food), and it again came out rare. The third time it was brought out it was cut into 3 pieces. One piece was well done, one was medium, and one was medium rare. His steak was comped but it was disappointing that he never actually got what he ordered.
We went for a date night. Steak was fantastic. The special our waitress described (and we ordered exactly as she presented it to us but with another waiter) was not served as she described so they had to take the steaks back to add the shrimp and crusting. Overall though, service was great. They made everything right. Fingerling potatoes were dry so I would not suggest those. Brussels sprouts were great. we apparently went the same time Bedlam was going on so our romantic date had three big screen TVs with football playing. Not really appropriate. Meh.
45 minutes between seating and ordering. Had to ask for bread 3 times. Had to walk to bar to get a second drink ordered. Another tables appetizer was delivered to our table. Food took forever to get to us once it was ordered (again after having to wait 45 min for someone to take order). We were told 3 people were waiting on us. Why such terrible service then!? We told them we were going to show at 8. Did not get done till 8:00 with a 6:15 reservation. Husband asked for anchovies on Caesar salad. Did not come with any. When asked about when salad delivered, was told "there are anchovies in the dressing". I explained I know anchovies are an ingredient in caesar dressing but we asked for them on salad and were told we would have them. "Ok, I'll go get you some".
Excellent steaks! Wife and mother-in-law had the stuffed chicken breast and loved them. Big baked potato with steak. Daughter got the mashed potatoes and loved them, large portion can be shared by two people. Didn't care for the salad. I prefer iceberg lettuce, this was the mixed greens. If you like steaks, you will enjoy eating here. Service was excellent!
We have ate at other Ruth's Chris (Rogers Arkansas ) and the bar was in a different room. This one was not and the noise level was over the edge for a quiet dinner for two. We always expect top of the line everything at Ruth's Chris and they have always delivered. The service this time was very substandard. We were not asked about an event; my wife's birthday. My tea glass set empty the last half of the meal. My wife's steak was not cooked to her requested level. Usually we are asked to check them when delivered. We were not this time and had to hunt down the waitress. It was corrected. The service was OK but not what we expect at an establishment the caliber of Ruth's Chris. We will frequent the Rogers Arkansas restaurant again but probably not Tulsa.
Thank You for your time, Dan Dougan
First time to this Ruth's Chris and was not disappointed! We went for date night. The service is impeccable, the steak cooked to perfection on the sizzling butter! Yum. We each ordered the Classic, which is 44.95 for salad, entree, side and dessert. We could easily order the larger Classic and split it, which I saw a couple at another table doing.
I asked for a table to view the sunset, and was seated exactly in that location. Make a reservation as it was full. Made the reservation on Open Table and received a phone call from the restaurant the day of the dinner to confirm.
Very loud. Expected a more intimate dinning experience. Annoyed that front desk staff was asking our names before we even had a chance to get in the front door. Service level wasn’t equall to quality and cost of the food. It the food hadn’t have been great we would have been disappointed.
Seating was prompt, everyone was very pleasant, but than once the water arrived, service went down hill. Food was very good, and not as expensive as we had been told so that was a surprise. It looked like there was enough personnel to handle the crowd, so have to assume the issue may be the kitchen. I suggest a little more contact with the guests that are seated and waiting, an update on status of meal or delay goes a long way. We will return.
