Our dinner was absolutely wonderful! Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious steaks, lobster, creamed spinach, and mash potatoes in the right proportions. Masterfully made Old Fashions. Very impressive in all respects!

We went for my birthday and food was outstanding! My son and I split the 40oz porterhouse steak. It was cooked to perfection, medium rare.! My husband got the appetizer tuna which was excellent.

This was our 2nd DAO wine dinner and it was very nice. Comfortable private room and lovely TV screens to give us an overview of the DAO vineyards. We enjoyed hearing their story and how they arrived in the US from Lebanon - quite a journey! Our meal was delicious although we were unable to finish the last dish, which we are happy to say we will enjoy for dinner tomorrow instead!

Everything about this restaurant experience would have been excellent BUT…. Last night my husband and I chose Ruth Chris Restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The ambiance was wonderful. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious. The wine was divine. So where is the BUT? We ordered the fixed price menu that includes 3 courses—salad or soup, entree with creamed spinach or garlic mashed potatoes, and dessert. I had the house salad, a shrimp and fillet mignon, and a piece of chocolate cake. My husband had the Caesar salad, the lobster and filet mignon, and the cheesecake. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir. I was told that my entree included 3 large shrimp with the filet mignon. What I was served were 3 tiny shrimp that in no way resembled the description. My husband’s lobster was literally 2 small bites. The salads were served on small bowls to make it appear as though they were filled to the brim. The desserts were very small and you could tell they wanted to make sure ALL portions of everything were small. I consider this GOUGING. The prices were very high, and I don’t mind that if I’m served regular sized portions, but please don’t insult me by serving childlike portions. Although our waiter was experienced and professional, the food (although delicious) was skimpy. Shame on them for doing this. I come from Chicago and we use to eat at Gibson steak house where the portions were really ample. This was an insult. We will NOT be back. I am sure there are other steak houses that are just as expensive but give you nice size portions.

I can’t understand how a high end steakhouse cannot get the correct temp of a steak right. We ordered medium and they were RAW, only to come back well done. Baffling. I didn’t want to complain but that just can’t happen

The steaks are excellent (of course), the lobster is good, the sides are okay at best, the desserts are very good. Everything is very expensive !!! All sides and salads are extra cost. All in all - far overpriced. You can get very good steaks elsewhere with better sides (sides included in price) for much less.

The service was the worst I have ever experienced. My wife and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary and brought our two year old son. Our waiter was inattentive, the food took forever to show. We never even received glasses of water. At the end, we had to go find our waiter to get the rest of our meal, and our check. Our son was restless and ready to go, and no waiter was in sight. We will likely not dine at this Ruth Chris again!

There was a loud table - drunk, swearing, yelling, dancing and singing as loudly as they could. Management was afraid to say anything to them and so we have to move inside to eat on what was a beautiful night out

The bar area wasn't convenient as 3-4 bar stools were so close to a wall that it was impossible to sit at and all the other seats were taken. We had arrived early for our dinner reservation and wanted to have a drink while waiting for our guests. Couldn't sit at the bar right away so we sat at a high-top and a woman in a dress came over and took our drink order. A short while later a waiter came over to take our drink order and we told him we had already ordered. When a short while later two seats opened up at the bar we moved to the bar and told the bartender we had already ordered but never got our drinks. He then made us our drinks. After a while our daughter and son in law arrived and so we went to our table for dinner. it was uncomfortable to say the least trying to get a drink at the bar. Our dinner was great.

Our table was decorated with confetti, a nice touch for our Anniversary celebration. We had a wonderful experience and Jack was a great server. One steak was over cooked but they quickly brought a new one. We were cheered by the complimentary Prosecco and beautiful dessert for our celebration.

We tried the new restaurant at Reston Town Center to celebrate my sons 23rd birthday. From the moment we entered the door we were warmly greeted by the staff, shown to our table where we found birthday confetti. Our server Gerelee provided excellent service and is very knowledgeable with the menu and food allergies (GF). Food was delicious! Steaks cooked perfectly. Loved the ahi tuna appetizer. Cocktails were excellent. I think we especially enjoyed the grey goose martini. Birthday cake for dessert was a really nice touch. Thank you!

First time at this Ruth’s Chris. Quite a change from il Forneo, the previous tenant. In a word superb! For appetizer, we tried the osso buco ravioli, a meal in itself. For dinner, New York strip and crab cakes accompanied with mashed. Steak cooked perfectly and presented on the 500 degree plate. We had come a bit early and there was no rushing. Accompanying this gorgeous meal was a fantastic crepe brûlée, sublime! A great wine we chose was 60 and Broad, wonderful. This restaurant is among the few in the high end category of restaurants in the DMV. There are six in Va, three in Fairfax county alone. The staff, the meals, the wine and the ambiance were just outstanding. Cannot recommend RC enough. Simply perfect. Jim

Long time Ruth's Chris customers; we've been going to Fairfax location for 15 years. Were thrilled to see one open in Reston (appears to be a much smaller venue, but still very nice buildout). Salad and apps were very good. Cocktails perfect. Sides were too salty, and the creamed spinach was almost soup (have gotten them many times at the other location). Meat quality was excellent however it was NOT cooked correctly. Asked for 11 oz filet MR and it came a charred medium almost medium well. Husband asked for medium and got medium well, but he ate it. I sent mine back, they returned a good while later with a closer to MR filet, I would still put it a bit closer to medium than I would have liked but it was acceptable. For $70 they don't have the finesse that the established restaurants do. Service was fine.
