Ruth's Chris Steak House - Markham
Great place and food
Expected price level
Had tomahawk for 2 with bottle wine
Very nice jazzy setting
Although it's a bit pricey, good food and good services.
We have been to several Ruth’s Chris in Toronto, Mississauga, San Francisco and Seattle, however the level of service in Markham outweighs them all. Our meat was cooked to perfection. Our server Jeffery was very attentive and also the gentleman (don’t know his name) that assisted with the bread and clean up of our table, he was amazing!
We will definitely dine there again in the near future.
Food wasn’t as good as it usually is at Ruth’s Chris.
Enjoyed my husband’s birthday gathering with family. We’ve seen the Tomahawk in past and finally ordered for the first one. It did not disappoint!
Given that the largest percentage of our bill went toward the Tomahawk steak, I have to give this only a 3 rating overall. My boyfriend had such trouble cutting the steak due to all the gristle. He also found that it was lacking in any sort of flavor. I'm surprised at that price point that this would be the case. I had the petite sirloin and it was absolutely wonderful. Very tasty and perfectly done (medium). The mashed potatoes and button mushrooms were very flavourful as well. The wait staff were attentive and pleasant. I believe that if a restaurant wants to charge those types of prices, they really should have exceptional food.
We were out to celebrate my birthday. The dinner started off poorly, as we wanted a booth away from other people. The hostess took over 5 minutes to find a table. Someone in our group ordered a non-alcoholic beverage, and it came with alcohol, could have been disastrous since the person was on medication. The meal that took the shortest amount of time to prepare, a shrimp dish, came to the table over 5 minutes after a Tomahawk steak, and a chicken dish. All in all in was a terrible meal. Three strikes and you're out, I would not recommend this location.
We have been going ever since it opened and did not find it up to the usual standards. This time around they were bang on expectations. Good for them to stick at it.
We shared an amazing seafood tower appetizer & salad & steak.
Fabulous special martini.
My husband was happy to see Kingston Estates on the wine selection.
Gila Martow MPP
This was the first time we dined in the Markham Ruth’s Chris, as we used to dine in the one on Richmond Street, downtown Toronto. I have to say Ruth’s Chris never disappoints me, regardless of which franchise we dine at.
Had an amazing experience celebrating my parents' anniversary. Kim and Bibak were the dream team of servers. No need to go downtown anymore for a great steak!
As usual! Superb!
Love this place. Service and food is always amazing!
Food was excellent. Everything else is over-rated.
Paul was our server. He was excellent and super attentive. The staff was very courteous and always made sure we felt welcomed and attended too at all times. We never had to look for anyone to get service. They were super quick. Food was great. We had the seafood tower and the tomahawk steak on bone. I would come back again. Thank you!
Too busy today service poor.
Food is average.
The food was top shelf, you wont find a better steak anywhere. The presentation is a little awkward with several plates & everything a-la-carte but who wants their sides on a 600 degree plate? Perhaps a smaller steak plate on top of a larger platter with the sides?
The food was super greasy, way to much oil or butter. We ordered the cream spinach, potatoe gratin and the porterhouse.
A bit pricy, food was ok ... not super impressed..
Nice location; great to have it located in the hotel. Food excellent; price competitive; service good.
Will certainly be back.
My dining experience was good.
It was my wife's birthday so I took her there for dinner.
Excellent service and the food was delicious.
We had an amazing server that we got to chit chat with and she gave us some ideas of what was courses to choose.
Will return again.
My husband’s $90.00 steak was raw. The only person that seemed to care was our server. We won’t be back, and we won’t be recommending this restaurant.
We ordered the lunch special, filet with 3 Grilled shrimps. We were quite disappointed with the stakes. We ordered medium rare but stakes were not as juicy or tender as expected as we have experienced before. The stakes were also not sizzling on our plates at all. We came to Ruth’s. for great steaks but we’re disappointed with the quality of the filets!
Frankly the Filet Mignon we ordered at the Keg’s were much better! I could only give a 7 out of 10 for the filet we had at Ruth’s on Friday August 16th.
Steak is to dry.
Keg is cheaper and make better steak
Good food and service, however we were sat in a very quiet room away from the main restaurant and in the end we were the only couple seated and the wait staff started setting up for a large party coming the next day
It is great place to spend with family, friends or business associates. We were greeted warmly by Michael and Angela promptly seated. Angela guided us through the menu and we ordered the lunch price fix. This comprised of lobster bisque, 6 ounce fillet, garlic mash potatoes, and finished with cappuccinos. Excellent food and service. Yes this is a high end restaurant in Downtown Markham. Residents and visitors must visit here. Many thanks to Michael, Angela, the chef and team.
Great food and great service.
I was with my sons and their families. All enjoyed food, service.
First time to Canada and wanted a great meal for my last night with Wife. Love everything about Ruth Chris, it had its original menu with some old taste that I missed and don’t have anymore in the States. Waitress was great and a manger was checking on us and loved it all.
Good environment and service, mediocre taste, poor value
The service was fabulous and friendly. The food was delicious and hot
Good food not worth the prices they charge but the food was good.. inconsistent with making drinks
The restaurant was quite nice, very pleasant staff, good parking facilities.
We were seated at a table for 2, it was located on an isle way with a lot of traffic, it was across from one of their private rooms were the doors or drapes were left open and the noise created by 10-12 people was VERY LOUD.
It was a bachelor party and you would think the restaurant staff would have put them in an isolated location as not to bother other customers because the disturbed more people than us.
The service and food was good.
Service was excellent - our waitress explained the different menu selections to us which helped us select a dinner that was perfect for me and my husband and my parents. Food came fairly quickly and service was very attentive. Our steaks were extremely good - cooked exactly as we expected. We ordered the rack of lamb and NY Strip and 2 value meals that included dessert and appetizer which we shared. We also ordered the mushrooms as another side. The side dishes were expensive but done extremely well. I found the coffee to be overprices ($6!). Overall however, the meal was excellent.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at RC! Our server, Matt, was absolutely amazing - he was really enthusiastic and had positive energy. We loved how attentive and knowledgeable he was. This was our 5th time dining at the location, and every time it has improved. Now it is really top notch service that you would expect at a steakhouse.
Most enjoyable evening.First time for our guests.
Server Bivik was excelllent.Very pleasant,attentive
The steak was still sizzling fine. But the chop salad did not taste as good as downtown.
The steaks are cooked to perfection and served really hot on hot plates. The crabcakes are good too. Servers are pleasant and polite. A very good experience.
