Decided to reserve for my sisters graduation, we wanted to reserve for 9 for 9 pm. They told us they couldn’t because they don’t allow big parties 1 hour before they close. But as we were in the middle of our dinner around 9:30, a group of almost 12 people get seated . Which according to what they told me they didn’t do. Our food was a little too salty, but overall was an okay experience,

The menu was great and wine was fabulous but instead of asking how we wanted our steak, the just brought it to everyone "medium". Who likes it medium? Then they bring it on a hot plate which continues to cook it so when I cut into it, it was fully Brown! $125 for an overcooked piece of meat? We tried rotating them around the table to see if everyone could get something close to their preference but several had to send it back and wait for a new steak. This shouldn't even be a question at a steak house. Very disappointed.

Had a great time from beginning to end. Front desk was super friendly and our server was great! Table was set up very nicely with cute little decor and a card for our anniversary. Food was so delicious too! Will def be coming back here again!

This dinner was not the Ruth’s Chris experience we were anticipating. we have dined here before but today was by far the least pleasing experience. We sat with bread and water for maybe 15minutes before being greeted by our server. Our cocktails arrived after the appetizer. I ordered a soup and my husband a salad. The soup came out by itself and then 2 minutes later our entire dinner was served. right after dinner was served my husbands salad came out. my husband said out loud “I really want to finish this salad but my dinner is getting cold” I finished my soup before biting into my steak which I lorded medium but because of the 500 degree plates by the time I got to my steak it was well done. usually we do 2-3 cocktails but because of the slow service I only had one. also the seating behind the bar is just not romantic or appealing. I’m blaming it on it being a Saturday night a 9:15 reso everyone is exhausted from the 5:30-7:30 rush. but it was still busy since we didn’t sit in the main dining room and sat in the overflow seating. usually when we dine at Ruth’s Chris or like restaurants a manager always walks around and asks how everything is going and I usually take the opportunity to either compliment or voice any concerns with dinner. But nobody walked around or asked and we didn’t want to make our server feel uncomfortable. anyway this was just a date night but I would not feel comfortable coming back for a special occasion. Overall the food was very good. Lobster bisque was warm, the blue cheese crust on the steak is a must and the cream spinach is always a favorite.

I can’t believe all these 5-star ratings. I went with my husband yesterday to celebrate our 31st Anniversary. The ambiance was perfect! That’s all the positive comments I can make. On the downside, the prices are outrageous. The ribeye steak, average, full size with bone in (maybe 22 ounces), was $148. That’s with no sides or anything else. A normal dinner with salad, drink, and one side… you’re over $200… per person. No wonder they don't post prices on the internet website. One other comment about prices. If the food is unique or spectacular, that could be a reason for higher prices. The food was good, but no better than Outback, Black Angus, and some other steakhouses. In my opinion, these other steakhouses are better. My second criticism is the service was very slow. And we arrived on time for our 5 pm reservations. There were few customers. Even though we had reservations, it took 15 minutes to be seated. We also waited a long time for our food to be served. Then, to top it off, our waiter said something stupid. Ruth’s Chris offers all customers celebrating birthdays and anniversaries a free dessert. That’s nice. However, when our server presented the bill, he said, “By the way, I did not charge you for the 2 desserts. Yes, we had 2 desserts, but my meal selection included dessert (and I paid the full amount of my meal), so I did pay for my dessert. My husband’s meal did not include dessert. But that second dessert was complimentary for our Anniversary, so there were no dessert costs. So why did the server say he did not charge us for the 2 desserts. Weird. We won’t be going back.

Full disclosure, we typically do not enjoy chain restaurants, my husband was given a gift card and this was the reason we chose Ruth’s Chris. We were beyond pleased with our experience. The service and attention to detail were outstanding. The food was over the top excellent. We have shared this information with all of our friends and family. I was very disappointed with the service provided. Our waiter would not engage with our party on the beers available at the bar and attempted to over charge me by $200 for the bottle of wine. Lenny was disengaged and was not interested in providing us with a quality experience.

I ordered midium rare T-bone steak but my steak was almost cooked well done. Could not finish. Waitress metioned she will let kitchen and manager know about my steak was not prepared as I ordered. Very loud.

Erick at the Long Beach location was awesome, since it was Mother’s Day, waiters/waitresses tend to be a little more busy than usual but he stayed on top of my table with excellence, he was patient, very professional and friendly, he was very knowledgeable about the menu and he served us a smile at all times. I definitely recommend for people to go see Erick at the Long Beach Ruth Chris. 😁😃😀😀

We had the filet mignon and lobster tail. The filets was cooked to perfection. For desert we had the delicious bread pudding. Our waiter was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu items, courteous, and very friendly.

Service was excellent! I had the seabass which was exceptional. The mushrooms are are phenomenal. I tried my husband's strip. It was decent. We did not like the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. Both tasted bland. Mac was dry and lacked creamy texture. We had a good time overall.
