I had a birthday with a friend and they even made my favorite salad from the past - beef streak tomato, blue cheese crumble, bacon and red onion over a bed of greens! Nice to kick off a new year eating your favorites. Shout out to waiter Zoey!

We had an amazing experience at the Ruth’s Chris restaurant in downtown Long Beach. We’ve been here several times and the service is always exceptional. We enjoyed a tomahawk steak with mushrooms. Both were delicious. Astrid was our server and she was amazing! She was very friendly and attentive. She also offered some great suggestions for cocktails and wine. I look forward to returning.

The steaks were cooked perfectly. The baked potato and asparagus were overcooked but edible. The birthday cheesecake was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress was showing a new hire how its done so our service was fantastic.1

So I want to start off by saying that it was my birthday and i had a good time everything was good I’m glad I spend my time at Ruth Chris and I plan to bring my mom or dad one of these times just to give them the experience they never had !

Service could best be described as absent. One steak was very undercooked, it was red (not pink) and cold and was ordered as medium well.

I've been dining at Ruth Chris locations for many years and last night was my first unsatisfactory experience. After placing our order we were left alone for a very long time, no one asked if we were ok or needed anything. My appetizer was brought out with my entree, had my server been more attentive he would have been able to see that a correct it. I order a steak and I could tell my food had been sitting in the back as my place was warm and not the traditional sizzling hot, the butter was just floating around my steak. I ordered my steak medium well and the side of the steak on the plate was well done, that's how long it was on the plate. The rest of the meal was average and not the traditional piping hot I'm use to. I hate to give such bad review, but I am hoping this will help and prevent Ruth Chris from losing its reputation of being one of the best! Well I continue to dine at Ruth Chris? Absolutely! Will I return to this location? Probably not :/

The LB location was dirty. Layers of dust. I Spoke with the manager who blamed it on a 3rd party cleaning crew. Steak was over cooked. Our server, Ashley, was quite nice. The only highlight of the night was our interaction with her. Very disappointing.

The flu was excellent. I'm gonna start going there instead of the one in Anaheim. They knew it was my birthday. They put pretty sprinkles on the table and gave me a special menu.

Restaurant is gorgeous, atmosphere very pleasant and food wonderful. Our tomahawk ribeye was perfect, filets tasty and sides surprisingly good. We had a great time, will be back for sure.

Lobster Bisque was luke warm and vegetarian tomato entree was cold inside and sent back to be reheated. It would be good to have the server more familiar with vegetarian options. Mac n Cheese was luke warm at best. NY Steak as medium rare and was excellent.

This Ruths location is an excellent one in Downtown Long Beach. They took very good care of us for our special occasion birthday. The food was as delicious and consistent with Ruths, the service was good (although slower than usual because, as they explained, they had a private party going on at the same time that slowed the kitchen). The only complaints I have is that they do not have any french fries (like they used to have at other Ruths-- no shoestrings, no julienne, no cottage, no fried potatoes at all) on the menu. If you ask, they will make you fries, but different from what they used to offer at other Ruths. Be aware that the parking situation is a bit confusion. If you go into the building parking garage, there are signs indicating that its valet parking-- but there are no valets!?! You can park in the underground parking area in any of those spaces, but the actual valets are in front of the building on Ocean Boulevard-- very confusing (and the exit gate of the parking garage is self-service and most people take a really long time at the gate making the line to exit very long-- it took me 15 minutes to exit to get to the machine to pay the $5 validated parking fee).

It seems like you do not care about a dress code. You let people walk in with hoodies over their head. I thought we were getting robbed. This is not the first time. Certainly not up scale anymore.

We celebrated our anniversary here and they took care of us. Our waitress Paula was amazing. They had little decorations on the table saying happy anniversary. Our food was amazing it is pricey but overall worth it!
