The food was excellent but to be honest, not worth the price. Our waitress Niomi was very pleasant. A couple came in after us and was served three times on the bread while we were not asked but had to request more bread. We had to wait almost 45 minutes for two drinks and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant or at the bar. Noone offered to discount our drinks even after the wait.

Great experience, food came out exactly as we ordered it, our waiter was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Our meal was great, the only complaint i have is that their steak knives need to be sharpened, I order the tomahawk ribeye and got to choose my steak knife, I had to have it switch for a new one as I was struggling to cut thru some parts of the steak (cartilage). Other than that, everything was amazing, and we will definitely go back again.

This review was based on the Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner. So, lesson, go to a steak house do not order turkey. The turkey was dry. Our server made it clear she did not want to work Thanksgiving..... a little uncomfortable

$14 cosmo drink was half full, ask server to fill up, she took glass and brought back same way. $47 Turkey dinner was cold, she did warn up. Bob Evans has better turkey dinner for $14. Very disappointed with value and slow service. Will not be back for Turkey “special”

Wonderful steaks best in the city. My sons steak was medium grate instead of medium well but we sent it back and they corrected. We confirmed a know allergy with pepper twice and the asparagus still came out with pepper on it. Had to have the dishes remade. The cocktails were not a good value. They tasted more like juice than anything try putting actual vodka in a martini when you make them. Won’t order cocktails again from this location.

A veggie side was forgotten and not delivered until meal 2/3 over. Hair in the salad. Fish was cold. Server was more interested in script than answering questions posed, didn’t seem to know the catch of the day or the full list of desserts, and was stuck on her choices for us rather than presenting all choices so we could decide. Picky? Perhaps, but at the Ruth’s Chris price point, I expect more.

I generally try to avoid less than stellar reviews, but in this case I hope the feedback is taken in the spirit it is being delivered - constructively. First. We have dined at Ruth Chris extensively….including the Ft. Wayne location. First impressions matter and despite a first seating (4pm) and requesting seating in back room away from noise due to diners that are hard of hearing….a request which was acknowledged and confirmed via phone 2 days prior, we were shocked to be walked to a table right at the front of restaurant with the highest travel pattern. And then had to wait 20 min to be reseated at the requested table the hostess acknowledged we had requested. No apologies. Second strike came with service which was well below par for a restaurant of this caliber. Waitress disappeared between when the food was served to well after group had finished eating. Normally this would not have been an issue, if it weren’t for the third issue/strike. The food was not served as ordered so was not enjoyable for 3/7 diners; example…steak ordered medium and delivered the rarest of rare. Undercooked salmon. Overcooked asparagus. Side dishes (creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts) where the standard recipe was changed or new cook was utilized and had not yet hit stride. When you pay $70 for a steak that you can not eat….and the waitress has disappeared so we could not even ask to have it cooked to medium….is unacceptable service at this restaurant. When she finally returned she said she would have another steak brought out in replacement (to go). While that was a nice gesture….the steak provided was literally half the size of the original and could not be enjoyed as intended…freshly served and eaten at the same time as the other diners. I believe it will be quite some time before I consider this restaurant for family dinners in the future.

The Chef's Special was the bone-in filet, Oscar style. It was great. I always get the Blue Crab Cake appetizer and the Creamed Spinach as my side. I haven't ever been disappointed in any steak that I have chosen or in the quality of service.

Fillet was very average. Every fillet I've eaten from Longhorn Steakhouse has been better. $13 mashed potatoes are not as good Bob Evans mashed potatoes purchased in any grocery store and $13 for steamed broccoli is outlandish. The entire process of the wait staff coming back and forth to your table...drinks, appetizers, etc...etc.. takes a long time and I just want to eat and get on with it. From the time we sat down until the food arrived, it was over 90 minutes.

Our server, Ryan, was excellent in meeting our needs. He did not hover over us and allowed us to enjoy our meal. He made recommendation on our meal and choices and was very helpful. We enjoyed the food and evening.

There is NO other place in all of Fort Wayne, nor in the surrounding area, that is like Ruth’s Chris. No better atmosphere. No better service. No better drinks. No better food - from bread to dessert, every bite was spectacular. No better live music - James Baker Trio. My Mother and I have birthdays that are 10 days apart and sharing this dinner together is a huge treat for us that we look forward to every year, and it is worth every single penny!!! You absolutely MUST request Server Kaylie; you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Pacing of meal was off appetizer took 40 min to come out it came first salad was 25 min later then the complimentary bread we got an hour into the meal. After finished eating it took another 40-50 min to get bill. My veal ravioli was room temp other than that food was outstanding,.. but for 400 bucks for 3 people I feel service should’ve been much better.

We went to Ruth’s Chris for our belated anniversary dinner. Our server was fabulous and the food was, too. We tried a new salad , Harvest salad, and it was delicious-highly recommend! Our steaks were wonderful as usual and we tried the sweet potato casserole for the first time- which was great! Highly recommend them if you have a special night out.
