Our family of four enjoyed our Thanksgiving evening at this Ruth's Chris. We didn't order from the Thanksgiving menu, but stuck to our usual steak and seafood instead. It was delicious as usual, and we appreciated having a lovely holiday evening out. Our server seemed a bit too busy as we waited longer than we would have liked for our cocktails and bill, but it was still an overall excellent experience.

The bartender was in an awful mood. We tried to engage her and make conversation, but she wasn’t having any of it. I always tip double on holidays and this was not the case. I was blown away with the level of disrespect.

Thanksgiving dinner. Sat at table over 15 min and no one waited on us. Had to go to Hostess to ask for waiter. Hair in bread basket! Ugh. Waited over an hour for food after we asked our waiter several times, the food finally came out and it was cold. We asked for the manager and he scraped off the cranberry relish and warmed the plate of food in the microwave and put the relish back on the plate. The turkey was tender, but the dressing was not good. Mashed potatoes were ok, but no garlic taste. Dessert was good, pumpkin cheesecake and ice cream, weird combination though. Oh and there was a family that brought a dog into the restaurant in a stroller and it was barking. We were looking forward to having a nice relaxing dinner and it wasn't especially for $150! Will definitely not be back.

This was the 2nd time we've dined here for special occasions: Christmas last year, Thanksgiving this year, and unfortunately our experiences were far different.

We had to wait several minutes passed our reservation time to be seated and the only place to wait is by standing in the hallway where you check-in. Despite being only 3 of us, we were constantly being "excused" aside by servers, staff and patrons as this is the primary entrance and exit, and also the hall used for the restrooms. Having my 82 yr old mother-in-law leaning on her cane in this busy area was less than ideal.

Once seated we chose to dine from the main menu in lieu of the holiday special. We split the crab cake appetizer and it was superb, then we all ordered filets while sharing sides of sweet potato casserole and Brussel sprouts.

My mother-in-law's filet was cooked to her liking (medium) but by wife's 4 oz filet medallion's were cooked well beyond medium rare. I ordered the 11 oz filet, also medium rare, and it was rare. Additionally my steak had the fat vein running through it and was way under seasoned.

I can live with my steak being undercooked, but not being under seasoned. We dine at quality steak houses because we expect quality; and at $50+ a steak we should get exceptional quality, yet Ruths Chris under-delivered.

Both of our sides were excellent with with sweet potato casserole being closer to divine. The dessert portions are massive, the chocolate mousse cheesecake was average while the warm apple tart was superb.

Our server (Eva G) was very good and we doubled our tip (to 40%) which we like to do to honor those working the holidays.

As we finished our meal a group of 6-8 came were seated next to us with one young adult pushing a large baby stroller with a dog in it. Seriously? I understand we live in a PC culture nowadays but this was not a service animal. I'm a dog owner and a dog lover but this was ridiculous. Doubtful we'll return.

My wife and I had the Thanksgiving dinner instead of the regular menu selections; big mistake.
I would equate the meal to a takeout from Publix grocery store. The first serving was so cold ( less than room temperature), we sent it back. Ten (10) minutes later the second try was bought to our table. It was warm, but the quality of the turkey was second-rate; tough with no flavor. The pumpkin pie served for dessert was the worst; one bite was all we could manage.
So, a very unpleasant experience for us both; and expensive to boot.
Oh, the bread was great.

We ordered the Thanksgiving meal special. The turkey was dry and tough. None of the sides were hot. Everything was swimming in gravy. We should have sent the meal back but had waited too long to get it in the first place. We ate some but did not take home any leftovers. We expected better from a higher end restaurant.

Been going to Ruth's Chris for a very long time and a big fan in general. This location was just ok by the standards I put on this chain.
The server was not to the level I normally have grown to expect but the helper for the waitress was perfect. Drinks came way late to the table, after the first course. The bartender was awesome though and hustling like crazy, just under staffed. Everything else was to be expected.

My husband was unsure which red wine to get. The waitress recommended one and he said, OK, he’d try it. She brought out a sample and he said it was good and he’d have that. All the red wine 9oz glasses on the menu were in the $16-$23 range. She failed to mention that this red was not on the menu and would end up costing us $45 for one glass! We paid it but this seems unethical. This was our first time at a Ruth’s Chris and we will never go back to one again.

This was our first visit and I have to say it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely perfectly cooked and seasoned spot on.. our waiter Tyler just a real charm and gave excellent service and put up with our silly humor.. very classy place. It was pricey but, well worth it.. we did the 40oz porterhouse for two with garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and topped it off with apple crisp dessert.. Can you say Yum?

i ordered the New York strip and my wife ordered the crab cakes with the lobster macaroni and cheese. Everything was prepared great and tasted better. The cocktails were phenomenal as well. Instead of desert, the wife ordered a chocolate espresso martini that was decadent. Ruth Chris was a great way to celebrate our anniversary.

We waited forever for our entrees. Meats were hot but sides were cool. One person in our party received the wrong steak and the waiter brought it to him saying he knew it was the wrong steak, but would it be ok? How is that ok? Even though they made the mistake, he was charged the price of the mistake!! To end it all our checks were extremely messed up and that took another 20 minutes to work out! We will not be back! Management could have cared less!!

This was my wife birthday dinner and her favorite restaurant! Everything about the establishment is Excellent! If you have not experienced Ruth Chris @ downtown you need to go! From the entry to the end of your meal you will receive 5 star treatment! It is a very romantic experience ! They also gave my wife cheesecake and champagne for her birthday, added bonus! Oh and by the way, the View is Amazing!

Went here for my birthday tonight, we were a party of four. We've been dining with Ruth Chris restaurants for twenty plus years, at many locations throughout the Southeast, however tonight was a very disappointing experience. Ruth Chris for as long as I've been eating in their restaurants had always had very high standards for their Waiters and Waitresses. They were staffed with a crew very knowable and committed to ensuring their customers enjoyed a fine dining experience. But, it seems all this has changed now, maybe because of all the turmoil in the current workforce. However, our dining experience tonight was about par with a local Applebee's. There was so many serving etiquette mistakes made, and poor attention to service, it was just a overal disappointing experience. What a shame. But, I have to say the food was great. I just hope the Management understands they need to get back to the high standards that made them successful.
