We went for their Thanksgiving dinner. The shrimp cocktail was good and the salad/soup also good. The server never came back, so after 30 minutes I asked for a manager, paid for what we had been served and left. I can understand if they were really busy but they weren’t. Also the food was pre-made so this was all on the server and floor manager.

I asked to speak with the general manager and she called me from home later that night. She was very nice and apologetic and said she will send a gift card. I don’t want it so will give it away. They ruined our Thanksgiving dinner and we won’t go back.

Thanksgiving was our first visit to Ruth's Chris in Greenville (had dined in Phoenix, Birmingham, San Antonio and not impressed). This was a very different experience - the food was excellent. Granted, we did not order steaks but the traditional Turkey dinner with all the trimmings. We started with Salads; the Turkey was moist and flavorful (great gravy, also); the Sausage Dressing was amazing (moist and a bit spicy (the Andouille)), tart Cranberry Sauce and then a choice of side (hubby - Creamed Spinach; me - Sweet Potato Casserole) and they were nice accompaniments. The perfect ending: individual Pumpkin Cheesecakes (perfect serving size). Travis was attentive, friendly and professional. Looking forward to our next visit - steak!

They did not have social distancing of tables but the staff wore masks and some wore gloves. Otherwise it was was wonderful.

Firstly, let me begin by saying that I have been to Ruth Chris several times and my experience was amazing. However, for whatever reason, this visit was very different. The food is extremely overpriced for the portions that you are given. The house salad, Ruth’s chopped salad, was overpowered with red onions and is smaller portioned than I like. My baked potato was brought to the table incomplete and the creamed spinach was more cream than spinach. Needless to say that this restaurant has lost two customers.

Been to A few different Ruth Chris restaurants so not new to the experience. Steaks were undercooked(asked for med rare and got rare) for the entire family. Since the plates are scorching hot we sliced the the steaks and finished cooking them ourselves on the plate. The au gratin potatoes had good flavor but were very runny. Cocktail refill service wasn’t very attentive. Normally this wouldn’t t be a huge deal but when spending $300 on dinner I expect a little more. I didn’t complain as it was still nice to have a steak dinner but experience just wasn’t on par for a high end steakhouse.

As always, the Downtown location, served an amazing meal. Wait staff and helpers were impeccable.
My wife and I eat here multiple times a year and have never had a bad experience. Do yourself a favor and try it out, you will not be disappointed.

Nicole - our server was absolutely OUTSTANDING. We had the Special of the Evening with the 6oz Filet, shrimp, scallops, lobster tail - delicious. Our drinks were excellent.
The only thing we missed was the assorted breads and butter after we sat down. The two servers offering water were so busy with that, but we didn't even notice until the meal was over.

We were not as pleased with Ruth Chris as we have been in the past. The steaks were not as good as they normally are or the food in general really. When you factor in the expense which we don't mind spending for special occasions, we will not be back.

The food was not where prepared. The potato’s were not done they were not tender. It was a very sad dinner for a great price. I don’t mind paying for good food and good service , I got neither.

Overall, it was great. My wife wanted scallops for her birthday and after ordering them as a part of a seafood plate, we were told they were out of scallops. The manager offered different items BUT as an additional cost. I wanted the chocolate ice cream to share with my granddaughter. OUT AGAIN. Really? Ice cream I can buy at Ingles at a fraction of the cost. Of the several times we have been to Ruth Chris, this was not their best. The server was great though.

I’ve never had service, Ambience, and food as good as I received on 24th of October. We went for my Bday dinner. Best Birthday dinner ever. We are from Charleston SC, and drove up specifically to dine at your restaurant. Worth the drive, worth the cost, and I WILL be back October 24th 2021. I cannot see how grateful I am to your staff for the amazing dining experience. Rachel was absolutely amazing! The cook nailed my Tomahawk ribeye. The only bad thing about this entire experience, as I know I will never have an equal experience ever again until I come back to your establishment.

I called several hours ahead and asked for a chilled bottle of Champagne to be at our table. Not only was it not there, it took them 30 minutes to bring it. I could understand if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn’t.

Very great handling of safety measures.

Wonderful meal and service. We did notice that in asking for our fillets to be medium rare, since the plates are so very hot when actually served, it continued cooking the steak. After just a couple of bites we had a medium steak rather than medium rare. Still perfect.

We had the special with scallops, lobster, filet steak, and shrimp. I ordered a side of au gratin potatoes. The potatoes were a little undercooked and crunchy, otherwise the sauce and cheese were very good.
My wife's baked potato was a little on the undercooked side also.
The steaks were very tender and cooked to perfection, as ordered. The seafood was also cooked just right. The scallops were tender.
The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed and comfortable. The wait staff were outstanding and professional.
Over all the dining experience was a pleasant one. The only exception was the potatoes which you would not expect from such an upscale restaurant. I have had them in the past without any issues.

Food was as expected, the service was the worst we have had in an upscale restaurant
Ruth Chris ran out of Olives for dirty Martini's and didnt even offer to take it back or offer something else, we kinda got stuck with it....Overall, the experience did not match the cost at all, it was not worth it

Honestly, the service wasn’t bad per se but it wasn’t the Ruth’s Chris experience that you’d expect for a $600 meal. Even the the 11 yr olds with us said Long Horn had better service. We normally tip 30% and kept it at the included 20% bc service was nowhere where it should have been. We also normally tip off of what 6 adults would cost not 3 adults / 3 kids but.since service was meh we tipped off the bill. We had gone to Maestro’s downtown a few weeks before - similar pricing and quality of food and the best service ever - legit! We expect more from Ruth’s Chris

This was a double birthday celebration and the restaurant granted us the window table with a fall river view we had requested in the reservation. The server, Tyler, was wonderful and took great photos of the guests at the table. The food was truly phenomenal, the steaks and shrimp and desserts beyond compare. We could not have been happier with our experience at Ruth's Chris Steak House Riverplace.

Food cost way to much for what it really is meat might be A-1 but the cooks are not the sode dishes was better than the meet by far outback has a better steak for less than half the price !!!

Obviously they did not pay attention to our reservations. Didn’t have a window seat, also didn’t notice it was our anniversary while people next to us celebrated their birthday. No acknowledgment at all.

We love going to Ruth's Chris, and my favorite meal is the Chicken Breast. Unfortunately, with everything going on they haven't had the chicken in stock very often. Although the overall food was good, I specifically choose Ruth's Chris because of the chicken, and was disappointed.

Overall though, they were wonderful!

I like my steak well done. Most places, it will be medium well. RC's well done is tender and juicy. You get what you pay for and it is well worth the price.
