We will not be back, which is disappointing given that we used to love the RC on 23. Probably the worst experience I’ve had at a columbus restaurant in a long time - from the initial welcome at entry through our exit. The RC team was not at all welcoming, service was slow, and food just average. We will stick with Jeff Ruby’s and Hyde Park.

Jeff Ruby’s or J Gilbert’s makes this place look like jack n the box... truthfully a real disappointment. I’ve had better Frozen food!!

My husband liked his steak but mine was charred and over cooked. Only 1 non seafood option on the appetizer menu which should be re thought. Many people like me don’t like seafood so there should be more options.
I love Ruth Chris especially their steak it comes out on a hot plate with butter underneath it can’t be beat I unfortunately didn’t like where I was sat. it was right in front of the kitchen door and there was hardly anybody in the restaurant I don’t understand why they would send anybody in that booth if hardly anyone’s in the restaurant. My husband has an allergy and I was shocked when our food came out that his food do not have any sort of identifying marks on it letting us know that the Cook had taking precaution with his meal one of the many Little details that goes along way when someone has a food allergy . We also we’re not served with silverware and had to wait I know this sounds like a first world problems but when you pay as much money as you pay to eat at a restaurant there’s little things that are expectations. But other than that we had a great time and probably if I’m going to have to spend more than $100 on a meal And I making my decision to go to a restaurant solely based on everything but the food I would probably go to a Cameron Mitchell restaurant.
One thing you should definitely try is there crème brûlée I’m kind of a crème brûlée snob LOL and this might be the best one I’ve ever tasted
Food is good but not outstanding. Service was excellent.
Our waiter was excellent! Second time eating Ruth’s Chris just a different location in a different state, and the steak was still the best we’ve eaten. Expensive! Bill was $390 for two, not including the tip! So if you don’t mind paying big prices for good food, try it out.
Valentines Day dinner that was wonderful! Staff was exceptional and the meal was excellent.
I wish we had a booth. It would have been more cozy for us. The other concern was lack of craft beer option. Only 1 beer. The steak were great with that 500 degree plate. I do wish I had just a little more pink in there
We usually have a fabulous experience at Ruth’s Chris. I was pretty unimpressed this time. Slow, inattentive wait staff, very small side portions, over seasoned steaks.

Steak had no flavor. Both steaks incorrectly cooked. Coffee was cold. Mashed potatoes were plain. Lobster bisque and chocolate cake were good. Service was ok. Doesn't hold a candle to Jeff Ruby's. We were expecting similar food and service. We were greatly disappointed.

The steaks were overdone and the sides were cold. We spent well over $300 after tip and for this price the food wasn’t worth it. We didn’t send it back because it was close to closing and we didn’t want to wait. Service was good however. We over heard another couple complaining as well, they did send their steak back, which seemed to take a while to be redone. The gentleman asked for new sides because they were cold and the server told him that the kitchen was now closed and new sides weren’t available. They were ticked obviously and then asked for the bill not waiting for their meal. When you are paying $$$$ excuses for subpar food/service should never be given.
Staff were great! However, the time it took for first round of drinks and dinner was VERY long. Thankfully, we were not in a hurry, but three hours for a party of four is a little much.
Very disappointed in our visit to Ruth's Chris. When spending $100/pp for dinner, I have higher expectations than what we received. Service was slow and mediocre - for example, it took 30 minutes to receive our $17 glass of wine and $15 cocktail after we sat down. Would much rather go to a CMR restaurant for a better experience and at a cheaper price point.

I expected more from a “high end” steakhouse. Ordered an 11 oz filet and 2 oz of it was fat, which is not what I’d expect for a filet. Medium came out medium rare. Mentioned it to the manager who stopped by our table to check in and she was dismissive. Restaurant smelled of marijuana even though tables were social distanced. On a positive note, our server and drinks were fantastic. Good place for drinks but go down the street for a better steakhouse experience.

Overall, I was slightly disappointed in my experience with Ruth’s Chris. I have been there several times, and I’m sure I’ll return, however this visit left a bitter taste in my mouth. First, i ordered a glass of wine and the bartender gave me the wrong wine, not once, but both times I ordered. Then, my steak was supposed to be prepared medium well and it was extremely well, and I had to send it back. It took so long to come out that the bartender offered to take my sides so they didn’t get cold. I understand it was restaurant week and they were busy, but a restaurant of this caliber should have been better prepared.

Visited during restaurant week! Service was great. I chose the 3 course with salad, filet and choice of dessert.
First, hair in my salad. Second, filet was over cooked- ordered it medium, it was well done. Third, they were out of the chocolate cake, which is what I wanted to try. Sad, really, because had it been a great experience I'd have happily returned to dine when it WASN'T restaurant week. Other fine dining steakhouses in Columbus will get my business before I go back.

Do not Park at North market Parking lot. The sign showed $5 fist hour $2 each additional. We parked for 2 hours and were charged $20. It's a Bait and Switch operation.
Their participation in Restaurant Week 614 prompted us to visit. Everything was Spot On from the time we arrived (parking was a bit of a pain) til the time we left. Service was excellent as anticipated. At lest 5 different staff members visited our table to provide some type of service or just check in to ensure all was smooth. Everything was 100% including Mykel our server. Nice conversationalist and attention to ALL details.

The food was absolutely amazing as always, the timing on the food was not like the typical service we are provided. I had my food and was almost done by the time they returned with my friends steak cooked properly. The manager made up with extra shots and apologized but I was actually in awe because Ruth Chris is highly recommended by me
I ordered 8 Oz filet Oscar style. The Oscar style came out on a separate plate after I’d eaten half of my steak. The server saw I didn’t have it and I was just going to eat the filet, but he said “they forgot your oscar style, it was on the ticket. I’ll bring it right out.” Who serves Oscar style on a separate plate than the steak? Very odd. Overall steak was over cooked, and very little flavor. The sides (baked potato and creamed spinach) were very average. The service, however, was good. The food was very lack luster. We didn’t order off of any special event menu, we ordered from the usual menu. Underwhelmed. There are much better fine dining steak choices in Columbus.

Dined here during Restaurant Week. It was fabulous! Loved everything about the experience. You can't go wrong eating here for either an event or just a night out. They do a great job of making the evening feel special.
The manager was really rude they only had select items they took forever to seat us at the table and then told us they were out of the main dish that we came for they were out of mashed potatoes baked potatoes very bad that day
