   Good overall food and service. As part of an "older" generation you need to have a service that can take phone reservations instead of relying on ONLY open table.

   Our party of four very much enjoyed our dinner at Ruthie's Steak House and Seafood. Our table was located on the east tide of the restaurant adjacent to the windows and we had a great view of the race track and country side. As of this writing this is definitely the best steak house in Grand Island offering prime steaks and seafood dishes not offered at other restaurants in town offers. Some local establishments may state that they offer prime steaks but their offerings are lower grades of beef. The side dishes were extra for some items but were reasonably priced and delicious. The service was excellent and the liquors used for cocktails are top shelf yet reasonably priced. The margaritas I ordered for only $12 were very tasty. I ordered the prime rib roast and I don't think it was "prime" but still tasty and as good as the prime rib at the Chocolate Bar in downtown GI, another great place to dine in Grand Island. Two of the people in our party ordered the grilled prime rib steak (not the prime rib roast) and they stated that their steak was very tasty and met their expectations of quality and enjoyed their meals. One of our party ordered grilled salmon and they were impressed by the presentation, quality and flavor of their order. I felt that the cost of the dinner was inline with other of only one or two higher end restaurants in Grand Island and Hastings. I am looking forward to returning to Ruthie's for another adventure in dining and ambiance.

   Ambiance is great. Steak was great. Service is slow. Hopefully will improve with time.
