   Ruthie's must be subsidized by casino revenue. Each visit, it's been dead: us and maybe two other tables on a Saturday night. Weird. Anyway the service is fantastic, some dishes need a bit more seasoning but the food is overall solid.

   I was super excited to try this restaurant and it was disappointing. There was only one server in our area so we had to wait a long time to order as well as pay the bill. I ordered the salmon and it came with rice and green beans and it wasn’t seasoned at all. The rice had absolutely no seasoning and the green beans were half frozen with no seasoning. The piece of salmon was the smallest piece of the batch. When you are paying that much money for a plate, at least it could be seasoned. My dad ordered medium rare steak and it was over done. I don’t like to complain but it was nothing but disappointing. I do love the casino and the friendly staff though!

   We ordered the Maryland ribeye and family mac n cheese. Most items on the menu are ala carte. We could of easily shared one ribeye but we both ordered our own. This time the bread that's served with the meal wasn't burnt.

   Ruthie's is a 65 mile drive for us and well worth the time to get there. The service and the food is the best. And has been since the first time we were there several years ago. It's the top of our list when we're going to dine out.

    Me and my wife went here for my wife's bday we were greeted fast but when it was time for our food to come we waited like a hour before we recieved our food everyone that came after us was already eating then when we did get our food the macaroni and chesse was cold got it replaced then had to send my steak back cause it was still bleeding and my wife's crab cakes where soggy no crisp they did fix our meal at the time I just feel the cooks were unorganized or something cause the food was okay and for the price we spent it should've be amazing food plus it was arr first time eating here bad firat impression

    We ordered the pork chop special and it was excellent. Nice that it came with potato and vegetable. Other items they must be ordered ala carte. We would like to go again sometime.

    Had appetizers...great and tasty corn, scallops and shrimp cooked perfect with great sauce...tho spicy, bisque creamy, risotto creamy...side dishes big so go for smaller ones, as recommended by our excellent server. Extensive wine list and great pink cocktail

    I had the surf and turf. My husband had the Maryland ribeye. Both were excellent as usual. We tried crab cakes for an appetizer and they were yummy also.

    Ambience was nice and service was good but food was bland. Steak was well cooked and tender but lacked flavor, as did the walleye and mashed potatoes. For the price I expected better.

    My husband and I ate at Ruthie’s for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. I ordered the 6 oz filet and it was luke-warm and tasted just like roast beef. My husband ordered the 10 oz filet medium rare and it was super rare. He didn’t mind it that way and we didn’t want to complain, but just added to our disappointment. The side dishes were just ok and the dessert (bananas foster) was probably the best part of the meal. Our waitress was nice as well. Overall, just kind of a disappointing experience and we most likely will not be back.

    We had apps, salad main course and dessert. Steaks were cooked to perfection with great flavor. All food was plated well , very fresh, and tasted wonderful. Loved the lemon/garlic flavored butter for bread, also. Will definitely go back! Waitress was very attentive, professional and knowledgeable.

    My husband had the ribeye and I had the fillet marmalade. We each had Caesar salad that was very good and of course had to have the harvest corn! It’s our favorite! Top it off with crème brûlée and the absolute best carrot cake on the planet! So amazing!

    Although there was only 1 server.... she did an amazing job with the 5 tables [2 semi large parties]. The food was amazing! The filet and side Mac 'n Cheese. And I took the chocolate cake to go! And the moscato I wanted wasn't available and her recommendation was great! I'll be back.....

    Ordered the steak and shrimp. Was originally given an over cooked steak. Mashed potatoes and fried onions were room temperature cold. Hollandaise sauce was very vinegary. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, but were covered in the vinegary hollandaise sauce. The bread and butter were delicious. The corn was out of this world amazing! The service was below average. We have been here numerous times in the past to celebrate special occasions, this is the first time we have had any issues. Overall, a very poor performance from a place which is supposed to be fine dining.

The way we make Basil Hollandaise involves a reduction of Champagne Vinegar and Basil Leaves until au sec (almost dry) and is then mounted into a Hollandaise sauce.     The experience dining at Ruthie’s for our anniversary was awesome. The dining room was quiet, comfortable and spacious. Our waitress was prompt and knowledgeable about the menu. I have to say our food was the best we’ve had around Sioux Falls for steak. We had the ribeye and short ribs. Both done perfectly! The lobster bisque was also quite tasty. We finished off our meal with the carrot cake which was also amazing. This is our favorite new spot to dine and we will be back.
