The menu follows a Southern-fried meat-and-three concept, meaning diners order a meat, plus three sides. Those will include Ruthie’s mac and cheese, of course, but also white-soy-braised greens, stewed chickpeas and smoked cauliflower with a spicy soy glaze. “We’re going to be changing it a lot based on seasonality,” Hill says of the menu. “ Every vegetable has got to be fantastic because it has to stand on its own.” One thing that will help that: Hill is already growing all of the restaurant’s own herbs at his South Arlington community garden plot.

Making reservations with Open Table is a JOKE. They do not honor them, in terms of time or location. I was given lots of made up reasons why my time and location could not be met. They essentially lied to me since I made the reservations one hour before I arrive and there were NO conflicts and not even many reservations made. When I arrive I had to wait while others arrive and were seated outside...and I was early for 6:15 reservations AND there where at least five our 6 outside tables for 2 open. When I spoke to manager, they said I could give up may seated inside table and go back up fron and stand and wait for 20 to 30 minutes before I would be seated outside. All in all, I wont be coming back or using Open Table.

It was a little loud in the restaurant. I had a hard time hearing the server.

The food at Ruthie’s All Day was delicious. There were other dishes on the menu that I hope to have the next time I visit!

This was our first visit. The food was great and the portions were large. The servers and the host were very attentive and the cooks and chefs seemed genuinely happy to be working there. The skillet cornbread was delicious.

Always love Ruthie’s. I’ve been going for a few years now and it has not change nor have I ever been disappointed. Excellent food!
