The food at Rusty’s (Lomo Saltada; Ribs) was superb, and so was the service. We had an excellent appetizer too. This was our second time here in a week, and we’d come again if there were time.

We hosted a large group, and we were seated quickly, and the service was excellent. The food was phenomenal and the suggested desserts were perfect.

This is one of our favorite places to eat on Hatteras island. The specials were great this time. Swordfish seasoned and grilled perfectly. My husband had the Peruvian steak special. Loved it! Also so nice to have a place that does reservations

We got a last-minute reservation on open table. We were sat immediately upon arrival. The waitress was nice and knowledgeable. Food was great and came out fast. Try the feta bites and definitely get the Banoffee cake it was excellent!

The service and food are always outstanding. We were seated right away. Our waiter was wonderful. The shrimp scampi was one of the best I have ever had and the steak was cooked to perfection.

This was our first visit to the area and we wanted to find a spot with the Hatteras chowder. It did not disappoint. Food and cocktails were great and our server, Kendall (I think) was outstanding. Our dog was with us and the staff even brought him treats. We will definitely come back if we return to Buxton.

Our waitress was excellent with everything. The food was better than average but not worth the prices being charged.

Waiter was great and gave good suggestions. Food was awesome all the way around. Calamari was done to perfection and our friends had the corn and shrimp chowder for their appetizers. We all got something off the daily specials list and not a disappointment to be found. Somehow we found room for dessert. Excellent find. Unfortunately we don't live in the area but our friends so we'll be back. I'm sure they will too!
