The moment you step into the Rusty Pelican, the view of Miami and elegant dining welcome you. The service provided by Isabel, our waitress, definitely met my expectations. We enjoyed the snapper and the passion of my soul drink, but I really missed the tres leches with fruits at the bottom of the cup as dessert! Hopefully they bring it back and I’ll come back more often. 😁
Amazing. Show stopping. New the same. Totally unique in every way.
We made a reservation and it still took us 30 minutes to be seated the host sat us then it took almost another 30 minutes to get the server to the table after the wait we had our orders ready we got our drinks and appetizers in a decent amount of time and they were amazing we thought that would hold us over until the food came it took so long for the entrees to come out that we ordered a second round of appetizers even after the second round of appetizers it still took the entrees another 30-45 minutes to come out mind you a couple that was sat after us that ordered the same thing we did had they’re food we were so sleepy by the time the food came out we barely ate anything now we paid more than we expected to pay because we had to order more appetizers because we were so hungry it kinda set a damp mood for the rest of the night oh yeah and its was our anniversary so i was definitely expecting better service for the amount of money we had to spend on the food
Expect a longer wait for waterside seating. Overall, the food was amazing. It’s easy to spark conversations with staff and other guests near by. I admired the cityscape during a late night dinner.
Food was very flavorful!! I enjoyed the outside dinning area!!!
The hostess was very rude, the waiter would disappear for long stretches dinner took 2hours. The food was good. The waiter apparently gave me the wrong ticket and switched the tickets after I handed him my credit card and ran through the machine. He pressed the 20% gratuity button and handed me the card machine to sign.
Andrew was our server & was literally one of best we’ve ever had - he was great! View is amazing & the food was surprisingly good. Halibut is too good to pass up. Have to be honest - having never eaten @ the Rusty Pelican, I was half expecting a fancy Sizzler. Couldn’t be further from the truth! The building is showing a bit of wear because it’s a high volume joint, but don’t let that dissuade you.
It was my first time eating here with my wife and we were a bit disappointed. Our food came cold and our server was no where to be found until it came time for the check. I ordered a surf and turf and noticed it didn’t come with melted butter as described on the menu but unfortunately I couldn’t ask my waiter considering he was gone for the entirety of the meal.
As we were ordering we felt rushed as it seemed like his patience was running low while trying to learn about the menu.
He asked if it was our first time and when we replied “yes” there was no description of the restaurant or specials.
I wish a manager would’ve checked in on us after our meal but we weren’t greeted by one either and I was truly expecting that with a restaurant of this caliber.
This was a special occasion between my wife and I and we felt as though our experience was no where near the value of what this restaurant is in terms of price.
Food is just not good. Beautiful place snd service was good. Food was just blahhh
Wonderful food, amazing views, great service
Our server was lovely, gracious, attentive, and masked. We sat outside in the shade of the building, it was a beautiful afternoon and our lunch was perfect.
Good food, terrible hostess and service. They don’t understand the point of a reservation. Don’t believe it’s worth the price to deal with rude workers.
Booked reservation for 7:45pm and had to wait aprox 70 minutes for table while I noticed that there were plenty empty tables available. Food portions were very small for the price, specially the Chilean Sea Bass ordered that honestly was not worth the $46 price tag.
The waiter was very friendly and courteous.
Definitely have to go during sunset to see the amazing Miami views. The food was also delicious! They're off the menu "corn bread" is a must oder.
Worth taking the ride - hard to beat the view.
Our meals were interestingly prepared and just so good.
We will be back next time in Miami.
I had the salties vegetables I had never had in my whole life! I spited out immediately! It was disgusting!
My server was excellent and very knowledgeable. The food was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Beautiful view from the patio. Highly recommend!!
Amazing view and dinner. Service could of been more enjoyable.
Food was really good! Great family atmosphere and our server Ulysses was amazing made our first time very enjoyable!
Our waitress was awesome!! Great customer service! Food and drinks were great!
I order the table with New York steak, fish, lobster and risotto, for two people. Too pricy, for the quality. The risotto was too cooked, the meat was tough, the lobster was ok. The best was the arugula salad and the desert.
Service was amazing, quality of food so, so.
It is a nice place to enjoy the ocean view and the company.
It was a great experience and a great meal it was great.
Had to wait 45 minutes even with an appointment
Awful experience. Had a reservation for 2:30, was seated at 3:20. Order was taken 3:45. We were served at 4:20. Left 4:30.
I had a reservation, regardless, I had to wait 2 hours to ear.
Never going back.
Even with a reservation our party was seated almost an hour later. Luckily they give you champagne to distract yourself. When seated the view was lovely. Half the drinks weren’t available to order. Our waiter seemed a bit disengaged. We got some margaritas and appetizers and that came out great. Oysters were phenomenal. My friend and I ordered steak and eggs and had to turn them both back because they were cold and not to our preferred meat style. They took forever to bring the new plates out. So much so the rest of our party had finished eating before us. Then our waiter disappeared and took another 30min or more to get our check. They also had asked me if it was for a birthday and they didn’t bring anything for us to celebrate but another table with another waiter brought the party a cake with lights and everything. All in all-food was great, view was great, service should be better for what we’re paying for. The tab was over 700 and we couldn’t even get a cake? Shame on you. Hire people who actually want to be there.
At the end service was not great
Took forever to get the meal
extremely overpriced / for very low quality of service
only good thing : the ocean view and the valet parking
This restaurant had lower standard compares w/ prior visits
The views are amazing! The food was delicious and the service was very attentive to your needs. Price was a bit high, especially the drinks being $16 (and this is from someone who eats a lot in New York City). However, I will say, at least my drink, wasn't watered down, but strong and a nice amount! Food is worth the price too, so I highly recommend this place; great for special occasions.
Very crowded, table on the sun, not enough umbrellas for each table, no pergola on the roff. Service very slow.
Too many reservations.
Plates with a lot of dressing, sauce. Not a good idea on the sun with the heat.
Expensive for the quality.
Great food great ambience!
Don’t forget the best French Toast in the world!
It isn’t what it used to be... food was mediocre and overpriced, music was loud, and the floor was gross. Felt sticky... like I was in a night club.
I use to enjoy the atmosphere, the views, the food and the class of the establishment... beside the views everything else has changed for the worse.
Ambience was amazing but food was crap!!! Would recommend for drinks at a nice place
Good food, prompt service. The ambience was great and the view is fantastic! Great place for special occasions or dinner with family and friends.
It's was a great night for me and my wife... I'll sure come back again
We waited for the table for 45 minutes
3 times the dish we asked to order was missing
The air condition was freezing
It was our 7 anniversary dinner ans i propose to my fiancé it was beautiful he loves it ( by the way he peopoae 6 years ago but we never had a ring for him so now I bought it and they introduced the ring in a beautiful surprise in the dessert, thanks so much to everyone who help us this night. We love the food, the ambiance and the view waa breathtaking
Good vibes, good drinks and food, and gorgeous views!
Oh my goodness, let me tell you, this was absolutely amazing. The views are stunning, the ambience is perfect. This was a date night for myself and my love & we could not have been more amazed. The drinks, the food, the views. Perfection.
The place was a zoo and even though the location and food were great, it was beyond crowded with vulgar and pushy people, loud music & they make you wait even though you may have a reservation. The price you pay for this experience is NOT worth it
