Loud around us. A couple of weddings going on. Cold out of doors. Ordered Medium rare steak that arrived rare. Staff attitudes condescending.
Great place to have a good time. Awesome food, great ambiance, and the best view in Miami.
The server was not attentive and the service at the bar was slow.
Absolutely amazing food and a great view of the water and Miami skyline. Highly recommend if you are in town visiting.
Fish overcooked and lukewarm at best...great view go for drink don’t eat!
Even though I showed up too early for my reservation I was seated right away.
Food was excellent and the service even better!
Views are quite spectacular,
would highly recommend you make this one of your stops while visiting.
You’re paying for the view and that’s about it. Gorgeous indeed but the service is sub par with no attention to detail. We waited for ages to be waited on when we sat down. Once we ordered it it took forever for our drinks to come and when they did come wine glasses were not a full pour. Kids food came with no ketchup, who brings French fries with no ketchup? Then we waited forever for that to come. We ended up asking another waiter as ours was scarce. They cleaned our appetizer plates and cutlery so when our main came we had no silver ware, we had to go to an empty table to get it as once again waiter was nowhere to be found. Sub par service for sure with super over priced entrees and drinks for mediocre food. What a shame. Prime real estate for a crap overpriced experience.
My favorite restaurant in Miami. I eat here every time I’m in town.
Thank you for dinning with us. We hope to see you back soon.
We walked up without a reservation on a Sunday afternoon. The attitude of the hostesses was absurd and very rude. They wouldn't take reservation at the front desk and said they had no tables available. With a quick walk around we saw at least 25% of the tables un occupied. We went to the bar and opened the OpenTable app. They had plenty of open reservations and we made one on the App. We walked back to the front to show them our confirmation and they said they couldn't find it. The manager then had to step in and he walked us to an open table. He did the right thing. The servers and bartenders were great. The food was good and the view was really nice. The front staff needs some customer service training but I would recommend it.
Even though inside the restaurant was very loud, the food and service were good. But I recommend sitting outside.
Lovely ambiance and great service. The only reason they did not score 5 in all categories was because they did not have a couple of options on their menu.
Really wonderful place, excellent views, service professional and awesome food.!
I didn’t like the food presentation . They put the fish, mash potato, salad in one bowl and the bowl was not even that big. I have been there before and the food presentation was better.
Everything was really good the only thing we didn’t like was these small flies that were everywhere. We sat outside because of the view, these flies were a minor inconvenience and where we sat it smelled like vinegar, from what I heard a server tell another table is that they tried to remove the flies with some vinegar but nothing worked.. just wish the flies weren’t all over us and the food, it was a bit annoying
Great view very slow service
Talking about brunching with a view, and what a brunch it was. Top notch service by our waitress and the food incredible
We decided to celebrate my birthday in Rusty Pelican, where people dress up. As usual, the view of Miami at night was stunning, oysters were fresh, fish they cooked was amazing!
Thank you for allowing us to make your special occasion such a memorable one! We are looking forward to your next visit! -Manager
Everything was great even our waiter
We're so glad to know you enjoyed your dining experience! Thank you for writing to us! -Manager
It was for my husband’s 30th birthday. The service from the waiter Anibal was over the top amazing. Our food came out quickly and the presentation of the food was simply wonderful. The food taste amazing. I will always recommend the Rusty Pelican Board of 2 & The crab cakes.
Thank you for allowing us to make your birthday a memorable one! We appreciate you letting us know about your experience with Anibal. Thank you again for your review; we look forward to having you dine with us again soon! -Manager
The setting was very nice to begin as we were seated outside on the terrace with a beautiful view of the city across the bay. However it started to rain and we were relocated inside but at a table right next to the door where a lot of folks were coming and going. To make it even more disappointing, the meals were very sub-standard... My fried snapper fish was very overdone to the point that it was like cardboard, tasteless and vitually inedible! my wife's lobster was delicious, but the risotto was too soggy and overly oily. The waiter (Alby) service was otherwise excellent. Unfortunately, the evening was a very disappointing 40th anniversary experience for us.
The room was too cold !!
The food was excellent, as always.
We had a very nice waiter that took care of everything very quickly and the rest of the staff was extremely welcoming, especially when we wanted to change a table. It was a great combination of perfect view, great food and top service. All the seafood appetizers, fish and steak and later Keylime pie dessert with a candle for my dad‘s birthday were great. Thank you
Went for my girlfriends birthday it was amazing. Waiting staff was great and food arrived at a good time. Definitely coming back for future occasions.
Celebrating daughter while in town ; somewhat of a letdown compared to ither occasions at this restaurant
It was my husband birthday day dinner from the moment we sat down everything felt wrong from the table to the server was off the menu is very small not a lot of choices the restaurant at night is very dark the waiter service was lacking I had to remind him about my drink we made the mistake of choosing the ribeye thinking it was going to be a big steak but all we got was two Small Pieces of meat and Popcorn
I had a very pleasant experience with my boyfriend as we celebrated our anniversary. My reservation was set for 5pm, we arrived 30 minutes early and was seated immediately. Service was on point and the view was simply breathtaking.
Good food, Great Service, Spectacular Views all make for a fine dining experience
The lighting was bad, we could barely read the menu. We had to use the cell phone’s flashlight. I asked for the light to be turned up but the server told me it was set that way.
The lobster risotto was very salty. The sea bass lacked flavor. I think that for the price you pay the food could be much better.
The server would disappear and I would have ask for things from other workers passing by.
Went for lunch. Easy, convenient parking and best view in Miami on the water with the city in the background. Excellent, attentive service and good food. Overall great value
Birthday. Nice reception with champagne and great view table as requested. But service and food disappointing- side dishes cold, drink orders took forever, food acceptable but not a value.
We went here 1/6/2020 for our 10 year anniversary, last minute reservation.. and let me tell you!!! We had a great experience. Service, food, view, everything was perfect!.. DOUGLAS was our server and he was very good and attentive. 5 stars for him..
Efficient reservations, excused us for being late, prompt service, gave us a wonderful table for our ex-US visitors, waiter was bilingual (Spanish), a plus, food was good to excellent. This is an iconic South Florida restaurant situated on Virginia Key, with an amazing view of the Miami skyline across the Bay. A must see for tourists. Fire pits on the patio were available for after dinner drinks and lounging, and for taking the required number of 'selfies!' A bit pricey but worth it for the ambience!
