Awesome place and service. This is always a go to restaurant.
Venue, service, food, and cocktails were all exceptional and of the highest quality.
Great Water views , Big bar . Food is mediocre(turn grilled food into a high carb dish). Weak drinks and slow service. As a first time customer: it was annoying having people taking pictures over and over right in front of u, unable to enjoy the view. There was no air! Ridiculous: had to ask for air , wanted to walk out before food even came. It felt like a heater!
Have attend Rusty pelican for many years. Still love the place. Our waiter was amazing and the food was good. Would definitely recommend.
Come for the fresh seafood and stay for the views!
We had a nice time at Rusty Pelican. However, the outside patio is the real draw here and what we really wanted on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I made a reservation for our group of 10 a week in advance and was really disappointed that the restaurant could not accommodate us outside. We could have gone anywhere to eat inside. We specifically chose this spot for the patio. Such a bummer. I wont go back.
Arrived on time for a 1pm reservation and was seated 30 minutes later, seen by waiter 30 minutes following being seated, received appetizer 45 minutes after ordering, and sandwiches 1 hour after ordering. Horrible service and only after asking for our food multiple times and asking to speak to the manager did we finally receive our food. Will not be going again!
Our server was amazing! The food was fresh and served quickly and hot. All around great experience.
The view is amazing. Food is a bit overpriced. The outside patio area is very dated. Service was very good.
THE WAITRESS WAS VERY EXCELLENT, THE PLACE TOO. WE HAD VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE
loved it and took lots of pictures with our customers with the view
We actually committed on the music level was a bit too high - made nice conversation at the table difficult
& the ambiance is nice, but we all had to take out our cell flashlights to read the menu (& we saw other tables do the same) so a little more light
& our server was just a bit too casual/ friendly
Very accommodating and as always, the meal was delicious. Staff was very conscientious regarding food allergies.
great view, food was very average, server did a good job however they need to bring the food quality up to par
Food was good and staff was friendly but we waited for well over an hour for our main entrees with the odd explanation that the kitchen made an error with one dish that they had to make all over again so they didn’t want to bring the other dishes until all were ready. I still do not understand how this would take over an hour still though. The waiter would frequently forget our requests for water or a cocktail menu or an order for a beverage, etc. Very disappointing service.
The food was fabulous and a spectacular view!!
The view from the outdoor dining area of downtown Miami is amazing. The seafood, service and atmosphere were event more amazing!
Everything was delicious and the window table had the best view!
Great food , amazing location and fab service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
great views; food mediocre, small portions and everything on lunch menu is fried!
Setting is beautiful
Not impressed. My rissotto tasted as everything but rissotto. Over priced very little portions. I can say you can eat better food at Bonefish for example, is better tasting and more elaborated than this.
The only good experience was the waiter.
Went for dinner on a Sunday about 45 min before sunset, called that morning to make a reservation for two. Was seated by the window and had amazing views of the city and sunset sky. Ordered the spicy tuna roll, snow crab claws, the swordfish, halibut, and a bottle of wine, with a bill of about $200. Our section wasn’t too crowded and it was the perfect evening
Amazing food and view with exceptional service. I made a reservation and was seated within minutes after arriving.
As soon as we can up to the valet every one was nice right off the bat. We had a friendly host and an even better server. At one point the sun became too hot on us so we asked to move to the table across and it was no problem. Our server Robert was amazing. He was very attentive and definitely kept our endless mimosa’s coming!
On a date with mi wife, I requested a window view but was overlooked and they tried to accommodate us in a booth, had to wait 30 min for the window spot but instead hit the bar a had the passion of the soul and cosmopolitan. Once seated we tried the octopus and it was OMG delicious. The lobster and salmon were delish also. The fireworks show was unexpected but very romantic.
Our experience was good, the food was good, a bit overpriced in my opinion, the service was great.
Tradicional y aun muy actual restaurante, the Miami gem, excelente comida , atención y vista, 100% recomendado.
In a city renowned for bad service the Rusty Pelican takes it to the next level. From top to bottom, hostess to wait staff no one has a clue of how to function in the service industry. We had to beg for a waiter, then flag someone down to get bread, again for food, and were constantly forgotten about over the course of our meal—-and there were plenty of staff floating around the restaurant they just have no organization or guidance. The restaurant has not closed down solely for the fact that it has a beautiful view however with the expansion of Miami’s dining scene and the many options which now offer a view with first class service. I would recommend to all the open table readers to skip dinner at the Rusty Pelican and just grab a drink at Whiskey Joe’s for the view.
Went there for my mother bday. Service was excellent but quality of food not at par with
It is an amazing restaurant!!! I recommend this place 100%.
The best meal on our trip!
I took my teenage daughter as a treat. She loved the experience.
Douglass was our waiter and he was very accommodating and friendly
Great place, don't miss to have dinner outside during sunset
This restaurant has been one that we have visited a number of times over the past few years and the food is always worth the drive over the causeway. The wait staff is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. On this occasion, one of the hostesses seemed a little stressed, but that might have been because they were having a large private event. That was an unusual misstep compared to our other experiences.
Very good quality food. Great courteous and professional service. Fantastic view of the city.
In the PAST we have enjoyed the RP but NOT this time! We were there for lunch on a Friday about 12:40. Only a few people were in the bar and restaurant but many employees were standing around. The service was horrible for some unknown reason. I asked if we could order some drinks and a waiter said "sure" and then walked off. My wife's spaghetti was to have artichokes and it had none. Our friend ordered a lobster roll and it was mostly all bread, very little lobster. His wife ordered sashimi. She asked how big the pieces would be and he initially said 4 ounces. She asked "each one"? He said yes. She asked if he was sure. He said "well maybe 3 ounces". Not even close ... they were the smallest pieces I have ever seen. My burger was to be medium and it was very well done. We couldn't get anyone to clear our plates so we would just stack them on the ledge behind us. I was excited to show our friends the view and have a really nice meal before our weekend festivities began. To say our experience was awful is to put it mildly! Thank goodness for the view!
