Great restaurant to celebrate special occasions. We had our small company Christmas dinner there. We didn’t make it to be there to see the beautiful sunset but had the table reserved a bit later. It was Monday evening, not that busy time. We were able to choose if be seated inside or outside. It was great to sit outside and admire the Brickell / Miami skyline in the evening. The service was good with recommendations and the food was delicious. Nice place!
i would recommend this place as a nice happy hour. The food wasn't up to par compared to the hard rock hotel restaurants, service was not as good as i would have thought for the amount of money. I had mentioned it was my anniversary and not even a single congratulations from the moment i walked in to the moment i left. Disappointing. Probably would never go back.
Very relaxing. Just seagulls where a pain.
Amazing place to go with you’re gorgeous girlfriend
We had not been to the Rusty Pelican since it was remodeled and it is just beautiful! We sat outside in a table right next to the water with a breathtaking view of the Miami skyline! The food and service were both excellent!!
Another great meal overlooking downtown Miami
Anniversary - They made it really special. The service was great and attentive. We love coming here because the food is consistently delicious. They went the extra mile to celebrate our anniversary with us that night.
Perfection on the Bay and perfection on the plate!! Exquisite experience all the way around!! We will be back!!
A great view for a date... Great service and the food was AMAZING
Haven’t been to the Rusty Pelican for 20 years until Wednesday night. Think what I was missing the view is even better than it was then . The food was outstanding and the service left nothing todesired. We had a great time. If you are like me and passing on the Rusty do yourself a favor and give it a try
While the meal, & our Waiter "Robert", were fine...the busboy service was lacking. I had to call the busboy over to remove dirty plates (that had been sitting for awhile), & refill water glasses.
The most DISTRACTING part of the dinner was that we overlooked the outside patio. The dirty dishes / napkins, from the earlier patio diners, were still left sitting on their tables...and then the birds showed up. It was like watching a scene from an Alfred Hitchcock movie! These big white birds were fighting over the table scraps! There must have been 30 of them! It was NOT a pleasant experience! The restaurant was maybe 25% full, so there was no excuse for the messy tables.
Fun, excellent food. Service was OK, attentive but distracted.
Restaurant was out of two dinner entrees and the other options were not fish so it was definitely a bummer for us today . The view as always is the selling point. Spectacular view on a clear beautiful night. The service is very very slow. We decided to skip dessert for that reason.
I will wait a while before coming back.
Family visit from out of state group of 11. Restaurant did great and service of outstanding but food cost could be better since it is not high grade food
The views are second to none. Service and good need improvement and better table settings outside with tablecloths and candles would make it more elegant and appealing
Proposal dinner celebration
The service was very slow. Took them about 15-20 just to bring water, food and drink menus. Very disappointed
We had a really nice night! The food was good but not exceptional, and the sodas were from machines but the waitress could rescue some cans. The view was awesome! The price was a little bit expensive according to the taste of the food, but it wasn’t too expensive either.
I made a reservation for my girlfriend, mother in law and me for a Thanksgiving dinner. I asked for a table close to the window to enjoy the beautiful view even when they had a note saying that they couldn't promise that, they found one for us. Excellent food and a very knowledgeable waitress. Will definitely come back.
We're regulars here and always spend Thanksgiving here but this was one of the best experiences we had. Marti, our waiter was just superb. We were seated immediately , our table had one of the best views in the place and we were attended to within a minute. Considering the holiday that alone was great. But get took our drink and app order, remembered every nuance and timed it all perfectly. We weren't interested in the Thanksgiving menu, but I had the strip steak and my wife had the Chilean Sea Bass along with the croquettes and short rib empanadas. By the time we finished, we didn't have any room left for desert but it was hard to turn down.
Marti was a tremendous servers, even among the ALWAYS first rate servers that are at the Rusty Pelican. He was very attentive, never interrupted, timed everything flawlessly and was just tremendous at what he did. With over 100 visits, I can say this was the best.
Thanksgiving family dinner for 3! I absolutely fell in love with this place. We were seated outside with the most amazing view of Miami by the water. I had the scallop dish which was incredibly delicious. The sushi we had as an app was also very yummy. I honestly cannot say anything negative about this place. Great ambience, delicious food, quick, yet relaxed service by Akosh and purely beautiful views. I wish I would have been there during sunset. I will definitely be back! Bravo!
Great menu, beautiful view, prompt service. I would go back to again!
This was for Thanksgiving. It was loud music all the time. The buffet was running out of food about 30 minutes after we got there. It is very pricey and not a great experience, not worth it at all. Many hotels in Miami have better buffets over Thanksgiving or special occasions at almost half the price, and with better service and ambiance. The view is beautiful, but not worth it.
Great view! Excellent spread!
was really over priced went for thanksgiving food was cold at 12 noon was hoping for really good food paying 89.00 per person .I was disappointed. service was great people were nice but food was sub par
This is our 4th Thanksgiving at the RP. Lina was our server and was so attentive and pleasant. It was not as busy as previous years therefore quieter which was nice. The food was very good. Only complaints were the stone crabs were a bit dry or overcooked and some of the food eg casseroles, were lukewarm. The view and ambience as always is magnificent. Better music selection would be nice. Dr R.
The service was not as good as our previous visits. We asked for a bucket of ice for the white wine and we received at the end of our dinner!!!
Great service received and the food was amazing! Definitely would recommend to everyone
Came here for a casual dinner while on Key Biscayne and discovered one of Miami’s gems. Beautiful restaurant with great food & a million dollar view of the city! La “Floridita” is a must try cocktail & their wine list is very well put together as well.
We had my husband’s birthday dinner here after a gap of twenty years when the old building was one of our favourite spots. The location is of course what sells the Rusty Pelican and was a welcome sight after so long however the food was, although pricey, very good and well worth the cost. The service although good was a little ‘stiff’ and sadly rather lacked warmth. The table outside in a very good position for the view of the amazing Miami skyline consisted of two tables of different heights pushed together. This I don’t expect from a restaurant selling itself as up market. The really unfortunate point came when we tried to pay. I wanted to ‘treat’ four people of the group but was told I had to swipe my card four times as the billing computer would not multiply by four!!!! Despite my protestations the waiter, who had sought advice from colleagues, was adamant so the arrangement became very complicated. I was certainly not best pleased at being so inconvenienced as I had to pay the whole bill and as we are from overseas it meant incurring Bank Charges. On leaving I mentioned to the manager who told me of course there was a more convenient way of settling the check. I expect better training from a restaurant of this calibre. Over all I would return as this was never the less a very enjoyable evening.
Amazing dinner. The board with lobster risotto, grilled snapper, and NY strip we’re out of this world. Classy and comfortable. Perfect view of Miami skyline and water. Loved the fire pits. Nice touch with a complimentary birthday dessert.
Everything was outstanding !! The food, service and ambiance are perfect every time. Love this place.
Food and ambiance was excellent. Great service
This has always been a favourite restaurant of mine - no one can doubt the magmificent view.
However -the evening was spoilt by us not able to see the menu nor the food we were eating - we were completely in the dark. The table next to us had come prepared they had miniture torches . The other table on the other side was using their cell phones as torches This is quite unacceptical, especially taking into consideration the high price of the food. My son ordered the chicken which was delicious but he didn't have the shredded cabbage on top and blindly forked around his plate to find it. We finally gave up on the food and took our drinks outside where is was a lot lighter.
I don't expect to eat with beaming light which would take away looking at the view but surely there could be a happy medium.??
Idk, service was good, food was great and bit over seasoned and false advertisement. I ordered the Main Lobster Benedict and did not receive a pounds worth of lobster unless you weighing the shell as well.. Besides that the Fruity pebble pancakes were to die for. The scenery was amazing, Its always great to see part of Miami skyline. Overall its a great place and definitely a favorite spot for brunch..
It was PERFECT. The view, the ambiance, the food and the experience. Can’t wait to go back!
