Rusty Pelican - Miami
Delicious food and excellent service
Los tragos no estuvieron muy ricos y la atención del bar tampoco muy buena. Sin embargo la atención en el comedor de afuera excelente! Y la vista privilegiada. La comida exquisita!
I normally love Rusty Pelican but this last time it wasn't the best. After making an appointment, we still waited over 30 minutes. When we sat down it took 15-20 minutes each time to help us. 20 mins to come and see us, 20 mins to bring drinks, 20 more to ask for appetizer, food, more drinks. We ever asked for another beer and it was never brought. The food was amazing, it's always great. It wasn't the servers fault, he was great and his recommendations were on point.
Everything was great! Perfect view and excellent service ❤️
Waiters were not very attentive
Pleasent day on the water. Service outstanding and we really enjoyed the meal!!
Food was good but not for the price I ordered the dry aged ribeye and It was like outback quality, good but not great and it doesn’t include sides. The place is very nice with a great view but I would not recommend for a special occasion
Unfortunately the restaurant was busy which made for a poor dining experience. Our food was served 5 minutes after we ordered. The lobster on my surf and turf was cold and had only the meat of one claw and half the meet of the tail. Our waitress was fantastic and she corrected the error. We could not help but to feel as we were being rushed out so they could sit more patrons. It appears that we hit the trifecta Miami Boat Show, Coconut Grove art show and Valentine’s Day during a rainy weekend, It was just too busy.
The octopus was fantastic so was the Chilean bass
Late valentines dinner because we worked late the day before. Reservations were at 830, got seated by 9. Drinks were strong. Passion of the soul was such a great tasting drink, was amazing & tasty. Great presentation for food. We ordered the rusty pelican board for two. The steak was cooked to perfection but it had no salt at all. The lobster was a little cold. Snapper was just OK. I wasn’t a fan of the lobster risotto but he loved it. Very attentive waiter (Robert). House cornbread was awesome and I would rub that buttery spread all over my body it was that good.
The best of the best
Love this place
Great food and service
Great as always
Great ambiance and the staff is super nice.
Food was mediocre or even below average. The crab meat was old. The manager refunded for this item.
Amazing view. Food very good. No expensive if you pay a bit for the view. The view is the thing.
It was nice but we had a major issue that was never resolved after our server had told us that he would bring the issue to the managers attention. More in the private note.
Service was amazing, the food was ok. Portion size was also just ok.
For Valentine's Day, Dinner for 2 was Prici....and didn't include dessert...
My expectations for the plate was higher....
A cute Valentines Day dinner!
Terrible experience, rained out, wasted time, and left with a valet bill. Waited half an hour to be sat for our 4:30 reservation. It took another 15 minutes for a server to greet us at our table. We didn’t have a drink menu or water, and it took him 10 minutes to find one because none of the other waiters in the area would share. It stated to sprinkle (outside table), and our server tried to have us moved inside, but the hostess told us we were going to have to start our wait over. We left.
Our server was excellent. The food was excellent. The beauty of location and decor was beautiful. I would have easily given 5 stars but for the fact that we had to wait an hour to be served our food. There’s absolutely no reason to have a dining experience where the kitchen is clearly disorganized and unprepared to have an efficient system for the delivery of the exceptional food. It ruins the experience and enjoyment of the food delivered. And after spending almost $400 on dinner and drinks I was rewarded with a $6 charge to park my car?!!! I found this extremely classless and unprofessional. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Rusty Pelican simply due to the fact that if I wanted a special night I would fear that someone else would share the same experience. It’s good, but it’s not worth it.
Hostess at check was holding tables for Groups from the Miami Boat show.
We ended up in a poorly located booth in the very back of the restaurant with a flashing light that was so bad they moved us to a new table. The management did a poor job with seating there customers on 2/13/2020 at 9pm.
The food and view were incredible but the service was even better. Offered to take pictures of us, consistently checked on us, an was very kind. 10/10 woul recommend.
Great Food and Excellent Service. Ambiance was fantastic. View of downtown Miami and all the boats coming from the Miami Boat Show at night time was breath taking.
Service was kind of slow but view was awesome
I’d definitely recommend for the gorgeous view. Food was beautiful as well. Host attentive, but bar staff and serves not interested not knowledgeable about menu. They imposed the % of tip that needs to be added to the bill. I’d say more attentiveness should be made for 20% service charge.
The view cannot be beat. Add the great service and food, energetic vibe and you have a winner.
Good comfort food. Medium service. Beautiful view.
The food and service were excellent. The only issue was with the mosquitoes that came out at dusk.
Good food, very large portions, great wine selection, amazing service and the best view of downtown Miami.
Great restaurant in Miami! You have the skyline view and the food is really good. You can’t leave Miami without having dinner over there!
We ordered a table for 8 persons for a birthday party (of our NEWBORN daughter), but when we arrived with the baby to the restaurant, we were told by the hostess, that the policy of this restaurant DOES NOT allow us to seat at our table until the most of our group arrives!
Our guest were running 30-mins late, so we had to wait AT THE RESTAURANT LOBBY with a newborn kid for our guests to arrive...
During the dinner the table was dirty and filled with finished plates most of the time, we had to ask the waiters to take away the plates, and noone ever managed to wipe up the stains and at least clean up the table a bit in 2 hours.
The food was not bad, especially the shrimp sushi, but the lobster risotto was tasteless.
Overall, a good location with a good view over the Bay and downtown area, but I have certainty expect a much better service and experience in a restaurant with such a pristine location, and for the high price you pay (bear in mind, that most of the main dishes are $45-55 + tips).
Would not probably go there again for such a price and weird restaurant rules.
We were not able to be seated outdoors because it was too windy, so we had to eat indoors in the cavernous, very noisy dining room. We had to shout at our friends across the table, and could barely hear them. The people at the table behind us were excessively loud, but even after they left, we could barely talk. I left the restaurant with a headache. Perhaps if we could have eaten outdoors, I would feel differently.
