Great service and views. Food was great and not good. The corn bread they give when u sit down drizzled with honey is insane. Definitely a place I would come back again.
Everything’s was just perfect, the food, the drinks and the place, the cake crab is a must! Sparkling and wines good, the main course as i ask and expect!! A place to try again and again.
Excellent place to eat and see Miami. Love this place
I love Rusty Pelican--I've been there for a casual brunch, dinner, and a graduation celebration. The views are absolutely amazing and the food is consistently delicious and filling. Make sure to try out a couple of drinks from their menu!
Food was good and service friendly. Too loud and vert hard to have a conversation.
Let me start by saying that my decision for the fourth star is because the view is so amazingly beautiful. If you can make it there for at least some drinks and an appetizer just to experience that view, I say that would be the best option. As we waited for our table, we sat on a table by the window and took in the view while enjoying an old fashion which was really good. The waiter also prepared a cheese platter and another with some cured meats and candied figs and an olive tapenade of sorts which was also very tasty. That may have been the best part of our meal though. We were seated at our table in the main dinning room, along the window as per our request which was very nice. We started with the fried calamari which was rubbery and mainly heads anyway, not the meaty part. The waiter noticed we didn’t like it and took it off the bill which was very nice of him. Then I ordered the lobster risotto, which if ever on a menu wherever we dine, is usually what I’ll order because it’s one of my favorite dishes. However, to my disappointment it was not exactly a risotto at all. The lobster was quite small, came whole and cut right along the center, and was a bit over cooked. The “risotto” had way too much tomato paste which keeps you from tasting any other flavor and gave it a not very appealing texture. My husband ordered the branzino a papillote which was quite delicious. It was a very good portion, the fish was perfectly cooked lightly seasoned which was perfect. Two things I would say is the lentil was a bit undercooked but not inedible and also for better presentation, when the dish is brought to the table the waiter should open the papillote and place the food on the dish. This is how I have seen it done at other high end restaurants and would definitely increase the enjoyment of the dish.
50th wedding anniversary celebration. Drinks were wonderful and so was the food. Servers could not have been nicer or more efficient.
Nice place. Will visit again!
There are lots of reviews saying the decournis out of date, but ignore those.
The Rusty Pelican was very enjoyable. Corn bread was amazing. Charcuterie board was a close second.
Unfortunately, it wasn't as good the 2nd time around. There was plenty of wait staff but seemed to ignore certain tables. They forgot drink refills and we had to ask multiple times. We also felt rushed to turn the table over. Other reviewers are right - go for the view of the sunset - not the food or service.
As always we had a great time. Everything there is good
Great atmosphere - love the outside seating by the water! Our waiter was helpful. Food is good, and was served hot. Nice variety on the menu. I had the rib-eye, and it was prepared to my liking. My wife had the lobster, and she enjoyed it. Fun place. Tip: request outside seating when you make your reservation.
It's a pleasure dining here at anytime of the day, whether it's from a day of outdoor boating or just going there to have a quiet and delicious dinner. The service was excellent and clean restrooms.
Love this place. The setting is so beautiful. Our waiter was the best - Marco. This was an anniversary celebration for us and he surprised us with a delicious dessert on a plate that had Happy Anniversary written in chocolate.
Sit outside, watch the sunset, very decent food, nice ambience. Service could be quicker but so what, if the most important thing to you is eating quickly stay at home and have a pot noodle leave restaurants to those that enjoy life.
best restaurant in Miami
The waiters were clearly too busy. As a result things like bringing the wine list and actually getting a glass of wine take too long. Also bringing the cheque and even returning the credit card. Moreover the kitchen also seemed very busy as desert took almost an hour to arrive, despite repeated assurances that it would arrive "any moment now". We were there on a Saturday evening. So while having a lot of potential, the service needs to be improved for the Rusty Pelican to reach it.
We had reservations at 7pm and didn't get seated until after 7:30pm. Once seated it took 20 min before we got water. Our waiter couldn't find a wine list. My husband had to get up to ask somone else to find us a wine list. Finally ordered a bottle of wine and it was opened about 40 min after we go to the our table.
Waiter was nice but service was extremely slow.
Food was ok but not worth the price.
The views were excellent.
Much improve from when I visited 2years ago. Menu was fabulous and service was exceptional.
Food was delicious as well as ambiance . Server could of been a bit more friendlier
Amazing food, service and view.
All around excellent, Juan was an amazing server. The food was delicious. The best view of Miami.
We went there on fourth of July. The ambiance was great and we had a good view of the fireworks of the bay. Food was delicious and the service was good too.
The service from the serving lady was excellent I forgot her name
The seating was also fast and excellent
The food was delicious
I met my friend coming from Cancun
And me flying in from LA
And we plan to celebrate next years 4 of July
Again with you
Thanks again for a great evening
Very poor and slow service. Unorganized. Food not good. However manager was nice to acknowledge the problems and make corrections.
Horrible experience. the service was rude from the beginning until the end. it started with the valet and finished with the valet!! the hostess was not welcoming. the server tried to take my cocktail from my hands while I was drinking in order to sell another one. I will not repeat
Food was terrible and very expensive. The only thing that ranks high is the view.
Our first time there and we will be back. Excellent service, good food and drinks. Great scenic view of the bay.
From the moment we walked in til we left it was an absolute wonderful experience. Everything was perfect!
The ambience was great. I especially loved the coffee con leche cake with the cookies and cream ice. And because we waited so long for our food the chef gave us complementary corn bread which was delicious!
Great place, food and service!
We sat outside, near the water around 7:30p and the weather was great. What a great experience & the food was amazing.
Beautiful view of Miami. It was quiet and a perfect spot to impress your date.
Wonderful ocean view
A fabulous location with great service and fun food! Must stop over on every Miami trip!
Absolutely AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE . One of the best seafood meals I’ve ever had . Can’t wait to go back !
The view is excellent and the food is even better. Hadn't been to The Rusty Pelican in years and it didn't disappoint. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon with great service, great food, and a wonderful view. The warm cornbread is heaven on a plate. The crab cake was one of the best I've had and the pistachio crusted halibut with Peruvian mashed potatoes and goat cheese was unreal. I'm so glad we decided to go here last minute for my birthday lunch. Can't wait to return.
The restaurant is nice however that night the service was bad as the servixw was too slow and the restaurant was not full. It was a birthday and the birthday person was not satisfy with the slow service of the restaurant.
it took 3 hours start to finish, which is a little bit too much. there was huge gaps from meal to desert (almost an hour) and it wasnt super busy.
great location, feels like one of those places you have to go, but service and food was just ok...we checked the box, but wouldnt return
As always- It was beyond expectation. Thank you for consistent great experience
