Great food (Sunday brunch buffet) and of course the music (Rachel Brown) was just awesome!
GREAT MUSIC VENUE. SERVICE WAS GREAT. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY OUTSIDE.
Great place for a concert or author talk, Food is mediocre and service not too bad, but a bit slow
Too loud with another party in the back room--disruptive for the talk. I've seen a lot of Cleveland stories and the story teller did a poor job--forgetful and needed to be guided a lot by Mike Miller
We came for a speaker presentation.
The food was delicious, however it came out cold. Manager made it right he quickly took it back and brought us fresh new food.
The service was wonderful, the value was amazing, And the food was delicious!
Their phone never answers, including during hours when supposedly they are there. But otherwise, a great experience.
I’ve been there three times for dinner each time the same lady act like we wasn’t even there the service was terrible and we spent over 150 dollars each time and the last time I ordered fish they left my fish back there I didn’t get it until it was warm I should have refused it but I didn’t
We attended a concert sponsored by our favorite radio station. It was unusual, because most patrons all arrived at the same time. Our waitress got our drinks, but then was busy taking care of others. Our dinner order was finally taken. A couple at the next table as well as a party of 8 behind us, all arrived AFTER us. They received their meals and were finished eating BEFORE we even received our salads, let alone our dinner.
The food was not that great either. What was supposed to be short ribs was really just pot roast covered in gravy. Disappointing!
The music was outstanding, but I doubt I would go back for another dinner.
Always a good time. Just ordered drinks but nobody around us seemed unsatisfied with their food. Good music and people having fun.
Got there to use valet due to hip surgery. We pulled in sat in the valet driveway for awhile while the attendant sat in his car so we just pulled into handicap spot with our permit. He gets out and says it will be 10.00. I said what I said and parked next door for 5.00. Bad way to start the event. He could not care less and why charge customers more than adjacent lot. Food was ok Talk was average.
Best pot roast I’ve ever had! The pre fixe menu for the Cleveland Dinner Stories event is a total deal, 3 courses for 20 bucks. Nice view on the river too.
A always a wonderful evening
Great speaker, delicious food.
Service was terrific!
The entertainment was excellent! The food was not great! The caesar salad was very good. The food was like warm. The lunch entrees were mediocre.
Breakfast buffett was very good couple of items were cold that should have been hot but overall food was delicious
The venue was fun, the performer great - the food so/so -- food was cold when delivered to table -- perch was frozen fish -- service horrible - could never find our server - was not engaged - very slow which reflects on the kitchen too. Not in a hurry to return
The show was great. Mike Sanota was fantastic. The only downside was the food portions were very small for the price.
Good was mediocre at best. Server was good but overwhelmed. Tables too small and very close together. Not a wonderful experience.
Michael Jordan author spoke. Wonderful evening.
I really enjoy coming to your venue. It is perfect for when I am able to go out. I want to see good performers but I don't want to deal with rowdy people.
Come whenever Jim Miller band plays and always good experience. However, I wish menu was a bit more diverse. More sandwich selection would be nice. Also find entrees a bit pricey.
We loved the musicians, the venue is very nice and our waitor was awesome. We couldn't have had a nicer evening.
Absolutely amazing. What a wonderful venue for a nice dinner and concert. We will DEFINITELY be going back!!!
Delicious & relatively attentive service considering the hustle & bustle of live music during dinner.
We went to The Rusty Anchor for the oWoW’s last happy hour of the summer. The entertainment, space, and service were fantastic. What was sadly lacking was the food. The options were very limited and what we did order was awful. The wings were not seasoned and the sauce that came on the side was inedible. The burger was flavorless as well and the fries were the only thing anyone at our table managed to really eat. It was really sad because we had a great time drinking and enjoying the music. I wish the food matched up to the rest of the experience.
We really enjoy the Music Box Supper Club, afternoon or evening venues it is great! Always a good time, no matter your age, celebration or just a night out. It is always inviting and a great time.
I was very disappointed in the food portions. I have eaten here before the Calamari was skimpy for the price. The rings were very small and sparse. It seems like you ran out of portions and were just trying to satisfy with a dish. I would not order it again! Our other dishes were good but the fish taco were very small, but it was tasty. The mushrooms were great. We enjoyed the music for the evening! I have been here many times before and enjoyed the ambiance and the music.
Always enjoy the shows. We didn’t eat but food looked good to those eating around us. Pay what you want for drinks. Craft beer or 24 oz tall domestic cans . Fancy mixed or 7&7 for about half Thisbe prices. Service is very good if not sold out show. Otherwise it can be a bit slow. We always enjoy it. Great view of downtown and West Bank.
The food was good but perhaps a bit pricey for the portion size. We sat by the water which was nice. Its definitely more of a older crowd.
The hostess, Shannon was outstanding. She checked us in at the front desk and then personally escorted us to our table. She was welcoming, friendly, professional. You are lucky to have her on your team! Kudos to Shannon!!
Music always great. Beautiful venue with great sound. Nick our waiter was outstanding.
Seating for show was perfect food i think over priced for what you got my friend ordered salmon an it was raw in center not appleaing other than that decent time
It is rare for me to write other than glowing reports for establishments i frquent.
If i do not like a place, its food, or its service, i simply do not return.
I will make an exception to that rule for music box's open table rusty anchor. In about 20 trips to that venue , i have had great experiences until saturday 24 august, when the surly, impatient, slow thinking hostess tried to change my mind about great experiences there. Thank goodness Drew was the exceptional server, the food was good, and Sonny Moorman was awesome, all of which made up for the negative vibes i felt from the hostess.

Unfortunately I can’t say much about the food because we only received 1 of our appetizers (which we ordered two) and the waitress never came back to check on us or to let us place our dinner order. When she finally came back to the table (after we told another staff member that we needed our waitress) She was very rude. We told her we never received our second appetizer and she could care less. We just asked for our bill and left. I don’t know if they were understaffed but if the waitress would have told us that, we would totally understand and would have more patience but she never came back to the table and when she did, she didn’t apologize for us not receiving our appetizer or for not coming back to our table for 20 minutes. Maybe it would have been a better experience with a different waiter or waitress???
Very poor service, waited at least 15 minutes before a server came to our table. That was only after we flagged someone down to let them know we had not been waited in.
Great spot, great music, LOTS of fun. Unfortunately, this venue is consistently understaffed. I feel bad giving the service low ratings. The staff is working very hard! This is not a one time thing, so be patient and enjoy the band!
Poor service, had to wait 25 minutes for our first drinks. Finally after an hour we were able to order food. We ordered the mushrooms as our app, they were very greasy, so we decided not to bother to order dinner. We had reservations but yet had to share a table, not cool. Maybe service would be better if the servers actually had sections, and not running all over the place. I know if the server was around more we would have order more drinks and food, instead we left and went somewhere else to eat. I also don't think someone with a disability and the placard should have to pay to park in the Music Box lot. Especially when the person plans on spending money on drinks and dinner.
Based on the service received by the waitress, no. I would give her a negative score if that was possible. Very forgetful. The entire table was neglected. Took a half hour to get a beer. Unacceptable.
Everything is great except the food is just so so. Because of that we usually just come for the music
We get to the Music Box as often as we can. We have never had a bad experience there. It’s one of our very favorite downtown destinations. Good food, good music, good service, good fun.
1. Great venue.
2. Good service, but server forgot a couple of request; lemon for our water, beverages served after we started the meal instead of before. Server seemed a bit overwhelmed, but was pleasant and well meaning.
3. Food choices could be improved.
- more egg choice (i.e. eggs benedict- would be a big hit and bring people in)
- more potatoe choices (hash browns with onion; carmalized bacon
- *more variety of salads (i.e. bean salads, tomatoe and onion salad, caprase salad, marinated cucumber salad, corn tomatoe and black bean salad, tuna and egg salad etc.). More focus on seasonal veggies healthfully prepared.
4. Would like to a variety of healthy tapas like appetizers
5. The bread pudding was very good.
