Overall experience was average. Did not get the seating that was requested through OpenTable. The more formal part was basically shut down and only one group was seated there.
Next time suggest they don't take a reservation if they are not prepared to properly seat you in the area requested
My favorite place to eat in the Valley! Its quiet, the food is always good, good wine selection, and the views are spectacular! Oh and the servers are all very polite, professional and prompt!
Excellent view and service! Food was good and all staff very professional and polite.
The menu is very limited...as we have been there a few times this summer and were told the menu was temporary. The wine is VERY over priced. No specials. View spectacular. Nice staff. Feel sad for them that the restaurant is closed mon- wed . Not open for breakfast even though it services golf course customers . Weddings 8n the main area closes the restaurant so beware.
Beautiful view and food wasn't too bad. Only issue was the loud obnoxious table next to us. Kind of ruined the atmosphere.
Staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional. The service was amazing and so was the food. Victor and his team (we had Tia and Nyah) were exceptional. They made our anniversary feel very special.
We had amazing service. Excellent views. However we went to a steakhouse and both of our requested medium rare steaks were well done. Sat on the patio which set for an unforgettable view and ambiance.
We would go back but would not get the 46 dollar steak, maybe instead have a sandwich or burger.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We value these opportunities and will use this as constructive coaching for our team. We are very disappointed to hear your 35 days aged Sirloin was not cooked to your preference and would like the opportunity turn this around for you.
Menu has changed and is very basic. Niçoise salad came and was missing potatoes. Chicken was sent back as it was slimy and covered in a store bought BBQ sauce. Fish and chips were good but hard to mess up. Manager didn’t seem to care that chicken and potatoes were awful.
Thank you Jocelyn for taking the time to provide us with this valuable feedback. It certainly sounds like your experience did not live up to our expectations or yours. We pride ourselves in providing a great guest experience and in this case we clearly fell short. We would be delighted if you would give us the opportunity to turn this around for you. Please let us know what the best way would be for us to contact you. Our Food and Beverage Manager is looking forward to speaking with you.
Ordered a medium cooked Beef Sirloin, received it well done and the vegetables were hard (not fully cooked). Ordered the apple crumble, mine was not warm at all, my guests sent it back to the kitchen.
4 People cost $300. Kitchen staff do not know what they are doing. All other service providers were great.
Will not return.
Rustica Steakhouse is not your average Steakhouse, they are a cut above. We had a tenderloin dinner and a trout dinner, both were cooked as ordered and artfully plated. The wine list is extensive enough to have a choice for pairing. Katelyn is a very pleasant and attentive young lady and served us well. I certainly recommend this restaurant for any occasion
The wine prices by the glass were outrageous, cheapest was $19 for 9oz Malbec. The food was good, but very limited if you are not a meat eater.
Lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. We had a table on the patio which has an amazing view of Invermere and the lake.
Started with Caesars salad. Ordered the Salmon and wife had steak on a baquet . Followed by bread pudding dessert. Delicious meal with friendly, efficient service. Will look forward to another opportunity to frequent Eagle Ranch
We were a party of 3, vacationing in Invermere for a few days, and decided to try Rustica Steakhouse based on reviews (even though one of our party is vegan). Bottom line: we all greatly enjoyed our meals - including the vegan dish. Our server, Amy, was personable and efficient. The building itself is beautiful, in a magnificent location with some spectacular views. Next time we’re in Invermere (which I hope comes to pass), we’ll certainly visit Rustica again.
Beautiful restaurant, great views, great waiter wonderful appetizer and my wife liked her rack of lamb. It is a steak house so I ordered a New York Strip medium rare. The piece of meat I was served was thin and overcooked...it was well done. I didn't send it back. Some years ago we saw a 60 minutes special about what kitchens sometimes do to meals that are returned. However, I did ask the waiter to take a picture of the steak and take it back to the chef. Everyone can make a mistake and we all have to learn from them but if we don't know about them or acknowledge them that is a problem. Continuous quality improvement is what keeps a business growing and strong. However, the cook denied it was overcooked and our waiter indicated he became mad about it...really???
Family dinner food was good but not great, awesome view from the restaurant.
We thoroughly enjoyed the night. It is one of the 2 places in the valley to eat. Service was great, food was excellent!
Emily treated us so well. A bug flew into my drink and she replaced it even though I was almost finished it. All of the staff was aware it was our anniversary and greeted us accordingly and took care to ensure our night was special. Above and beyond a typical Golf Course dining experience and we will definitely be returning.
Wonderful summer evening on the patio with a splendid view down the valley and of Invermere and the lake. The food was excellent and the server’s suggestions very knowledgeable. Always a special place!
The best view in Canada! Well for sure in the valley! And fantastic service from Matt, and the food was excellent, perfectly cooked, delicious flavours. :) our favourite place I the valley for a special occasion or just a glass of wine.
Wonderful dinner with a stunning view of the Columbia Valley. The steak on baguette was flavourful and cooked to perfection, and the vegetarian roulade was delicious. For dessert, the bread pudding was amazing - one of the best restaurant desserts ever, and the chocolate jars are always a hit! You can't beat Rustica for a nice meal in the valley.
Fabulous views, fabulous service, fabulous food. What's not to like? Great for a business meal or a date - they'll be impressed!
Our first visit to Eagle Ranch. Was told the food was exceptional. Was not disappointed. Service was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and efficient. Our server was Jasmine. She made us feel welcome and did not rush us to finish our bottle of wine even though we were the last guests. We asked for recommendations regarding entrees and were happy with our choices. The only complaint I have is regarding the wine list. Was hard to find any sort of value in the prices. We run a steakhouse in Calgary and offer some of the same wines at much lower prices. Cakebread Cabernet for $200? Tignanello for $189? Wow. We were pleasantly surprise with the reasonable food prices but disappointed with the huge mark up on wine.
Overall was a great experience and will definitely be back. We frequent the area and will bring our family and friends for the great food, exceptional service, rustic atmosphere and incredible views. I will be sure to bring our own bottle of wine. Thank you for the enjoyable night. See you again.
Chad & Dianna
This a comfortable and friendly place to dine. The food is upscale and tasty without being pretentious. The service is great. Very decent wine list. In the summertime there is a casual deck from which the views are wonderful.
We had a family dinner with six people including grandparents. Evening started well when we were given a table in front of the fireplace. The restaurant was not very busy but there were only two servers for the restaurant and lounge.
Our waitress was obviously new but friendly. The ordering went fine and our drinks were a little slow but we weren’t in a rush. Appetizers were good; we had calamari and charcuterie platter. As we were finishing them off the waitress came to say that because three of us had ordered the lamb duo our meal would take a little longer, an extra 10 minutes. We said that was fine.
We ordered a more expensive second bottle of wine ($125) while we were waiting. We had to ask for fresh glasses and the wine should have been decanted but wasn’t.
It took over two hours from when we arrived for mains to be served. Most of that time we sat with dirty dishes from first course in front of us. The fire was getting quite smoky but no one came by so my son tended to the fire to push the logs back further into fireplace.
By now most of the tables that had arrived after us were gone. One large table that arrived after us was served before us and one of them had the same lamb duo dish we were waiting for.
When the food arrived it was not good. The rack of lamb was tasty but the shank and galette half of the duo were burned on the bottom and way over cooked on top so it was dry and charred. The duck was also burned on the bottom. The steak was cold and very fatty. Only the hamburger was prepared properly.
We let the waitress know and she let the manager know who came over to apologize and asked what we wanted to do. Of course by now it was so late we just ate what we could and left without any dessert or coffee. The manager came over again to apologize and did adjust our bill by about 30% which we appreciated but it probably should have been more.
It was a disappointing dinner.
Always a spectacular view of Lake Windermere and the excellent golf course! Restaurant is nicely built out with timbers and stone throughout. Server Cassandra was very pleasant, always smiling and very helpful. Definitely one of the best locales in the Invermere area for an excellent dining experience (though not the "cheapest" but you get what you pay for!)
View is spectacular, service was very good, food was good but not as good as previous visits.
Birthday dinner which we were on a hot springs vacation. They managed our kids and picky eating really well. Food was solid.
We have been regular diners for a number of years making it a highlight of our trips to the Valley ... this year we were disappointed by the quality of the food and the seeming decline in the professionalism of the staff. Disappointed!
We have always enjoyed going to Eagle Ranch for dining but the past two years have not been that great. This season, I noticed there was a different menu, so I thought we would give it another try. I went with several friends and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food and service were great. We will make it our go to place again this season so hopefully it continues to be as good as it was for our first visit.
We got married here the year before and it was fantastic then went back for our first year anniversary. Always the best we will be back for sure
Served by very pleasant but inexperienced waitress with limited training. My food, steak was served cold.
Place was empty, with table settings not as pictured in advertising. Very basic setting.
Overall food was somewhat innovative but definitely not worth the price.
We enjoyed our 25th wedding anniversary at the Rustica Steakhouse-Eagle Ranch Resort. Matt made our evening very enjoyable and went out of his way to ensure that we were taken care of. He even took the picture that we plan on framing. Your food was amazing. Thank you for a memorable experience on our very special occasion.
Despite the fact that Open Table made this reservation for us and even sent an email
confirming these reservations for 5:30 pm Sunday, January 22, when our party of six arrived promptly at 5:30 on the above date, the building at Eagle Ranch was locked up tight and totally deserted. We subsequently found out that the restaurant is closed on several nights of the week, including Sunday. We find it highly incompetent that your website did not inform us that the restaurant was closed Sunday, that our website accepted our reservation and went to the ludicrous extent of sending us a separate email confirming the reservation. Hence we rate the restaurant "Poor" in every category to encourage you and the management of the restaurant to communicate better when the restaurant is open and when it is closed.
I was very disappointed to arrive at the restaurant and find the lights off with the doors locked. It seems they were not open on Mondays but I was able to reserve a table at the restaurant for a birthday celebration. I then had to find another place for the 5 of us to eat at the last minute.
They took terrific care of us. Highly recommend them.
We have been patrons of Eagle Ranch for many years and over the last 3 years each of our Dinning experiences has been very disappointing. The venue and the view are superb but the food is C+ at best and the servers try their best but I would suggest that their needs to be a significant change with management.
Not sure why we needed reservations. The restaurant was not busy but still took over two hours for dinner. Waitress was friendly but we did not see her often. Was expecting something more intimate. Felt like we were sitting in the lobby of the clubhouse as there is no separation. Steak was delicious and cooked perfectly but not worth the $50 plus I paid for it. It also looked like people sitting on the deck got a different menu than we did even though we were less than 10 feet apart.
We played drove down from Calgary as my daughter bought her a golf game and a night stay at the bighorn resort. We played golf and I had suggested the eagle ranch restaurant because I have been there before and I really enjoyed it.My daughter and son inlaw have never been there.Long story short I ordered the bangers and mash very good but I had asked for some butter it never came.My daughter and wife ordered flank steak medium it came well done .My son inlaw ordered some kind of noodle bowl it came liquidy. He asked for a spoon to try and eat it it also never came.He couldn't finish .Never came and checked on how our meal was so we could explain what was wrong.I am very disappointed after I had suggested it and my ring of friends that we sometimes go to eagleranch with were also very surprised. Is this going to be the norm?
