We were served raw chicken and were not offered anything to make up for it. The suggested tip included the chicken we sent back

We were not impressed by the food. Wings were nearly tasteless. Steak was dry and chewy. Scallops and risotto were very bland. On the positive side the salmon was good.

I have been to this restaurant at least a dozen times throughout the years and last night was my first disappointing meal there. Meal was undercooked, sent back and then side dishes were returned cold. Waitstaff was friendly, but we had to seek them out to rectify the meal. Only came back to check on our table one time until giving us the bill. Very lackluster experience last night. Specialty cocktail was delicious though. Not in a rush to go back anytime soon, sad to say.

A great restaurant is much more than the meal. It’s the feeling you get when you walk in and when you leave. It’s the details that matter most. The temperament of the service staff, the kindness and attentiveness of the waitress/hostess matters. The latter of which needs improvement. The initial hostess was pleasant. The bus boy as well. The waitress gives cold vibes. Never a thank you or a reply when we thank her. Maybe they didn’t feel like my guest and I were welcomed there. I know I won’t be returning. The food wasn’t enough to keep me coming back. I’m sure many others have better experiences which I was initially drew me to dine there for the first time today.

We visited Rustic Root for brunch on a Saturday. The food was delicious, portions were large, service was wonderful, and the ambiance was great. Highly recommend this restaurant! They were also very accommodating to families with small children.
