Our menu is based around our love for food and the feelings it invokes.
My last night in Anchorage and I wanted something different. Trip Advisor reviews were excellent. The building itself is unique. Reservations are strongly recommended as it is a busy establishment. I had the Bison Sliders. Cooked to perfection on a really nice roll. It was very tasty. I would most definitely go back if I ever get the chance.
Good food, great service. This will definitely be added to our rotation of regular restaurants.
I had never been to Rustic Goat before but had heard good things about the restaurant. Those reviews didn't disappoint and I would definitely go there again! The service was great, food was tasty, and there is something on the menu for everyone! This is a hidden gem in west Anchorage that everyone should go to!
Our first time there. Great place, good vibes. Server was super and attentive but not overly so. Had the Shishito Peppers, Drunken Clams and Sausage, and Bison Sliders. Peppers were perfectly done, the Drunken Clans were not to be missed. I’d pass on the Bison Sliders. Oddly the meat seemed under salted while the rest seemed over salted. May be the nature of bison meat but I we don’t eat enough bison burgers to be sure. We will be eating here again.
Great experience! Service was good and food was delicious.
Amazing! So appreciate how wheelchair accessible the place is!
The atmosphere, design, and service were very nice. No complaints there. However, the food was poorly executed. I originally ordered a seared tuna dish but they had run out of it so opted for a creamy chicken Marsala pasta dish. When I received it, it was practically soup. I’m assuming the pasta wasn’t properly drained prior to mixing in the sauce so the sauce didn’t stick to the pasta and it was extremely watery. My partner and I’s dishes lacked flavor in general as well, especially mine. The server ended up comping our dessert but we won’t be returning.
Food is always good and server was nice. My favorite is the nachos.
fantastic restaurant - great food, service and lovely staff
Try the clams, you won’t regret it! All the food was delicious, not a single complaint.
Service was decent. Steak ordered medium and came out well done. Server made right by bringing new one, but it’s a bit late after my wife already finished her meal. Nothing the server could have done though. He did try to make right by giving us complimentary glasses of wine. Not bad experience. 7 out of 10 overall but disappointed about the steak.
Great food and great service. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
Wide diversity of foods and we've never been disappointed. Skip the shoshito peppers appetizer and enjoy the nachos instead. Order a half size and chicken if that suits you better than pork. Pizzas are delicious and plenty for two people. Save room for the s'mores dessert.
Good was good. I had nachos my friend had pizza but 3/4 through pizza she pulled a hair out of pizza and that ended the meal
Nickolas, our server was very attentive and pleasant. He provided helpful comments about the menu selections and delivered all selections correctly and promptly. My wife and I particularly enjoyed the buffalo sliders and the pan seared calamari, sauce very tasty. Wife enjoyed the s'mores.
Awesome. Really amazing food and experience.
Everything was great! Food was delicious as always, especially the nachos.
Food was delicious, service was top notch, great vibes...highly recommend!! If you’re in Anchorage check out the Rustic Goat!!!
Awesome food, great service staff and chill ambiance. The look, feel and cuisine truly reflects “rustic” and savory!
At first said could not use gift card and asked for manager whose name was Michael..he was very good and was able to accept gift card. Unfortunately the food was just ok... beer was good and neat place...we sat upstairs and maybe that had something to do with food being barely warm and rice was very mushy
Loved the vibe of this place instantly upon walking in. Food was good. Beer selection was good. Service was slightly slow, but acceptable. Mostly, though, it's a really nice place to hang out. We wish there was a place like this in our town (Santa Barbara).
Salmon was perfect. Desserts were good.
Veggie entree needed more flavor
Slow service - apologies were made but no offer for a free drink or appetizer while we waited 45 mins for our meal after the order was taken.
Very loud, and very crowded with a close-age crowd. Nothing wrong with that. Very hip(ster) vibe. The food was great. Had the calimari, lamb gyro, and bison sliders. All were inventive and well executed. Service was scattered at best, though friendly. The waiter mischaracterized the beer special as an ale when it was actually a sour beer—not the same—then he didn’t put the order in and I had to wait to eat my entree while he found my beer.
The wasabi Brussel sprouts were divine. Good service, good local beer selection, and a generally good experience overall. The menu is best suited for someone with an exploratory taste; nothing bland or typical to be found.
Food Great, very noisy, had reservations but couldn't get a good table. Service a bit slow.
Great dinner with a friend. Had my first pizza there and it was very good. I'm glad they are carrying Double Shovel's pineapple cider....my favorite. Hot summer night, but very pleasant inside upstairs.
The food ideas sound fantastic but the execution is just okay at best. Pan seared calamari arrived barely warm with no searing at all. Sent it back and it came out again in the same condition. Our server shrugged and said “too gross?” Happily he removed it from the bill.
Tasty, creative and fresh dishes. The appetizers were really yummy. The seafood was prepared just right and very fresh
Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The portions were quite generous, almost too generous.
Ok food. Service was descent. Place was very noisy
Service was terrible.... glasses were empty for 1/2 an hour... had to flag down wait staff. Food was mediocre at best. Quality of food and service has taken a nose dive since they first opened. Have had way better meals at a much lower price.
Tucker was a great waiter. He was funny and didn’t mind my bad jokes.
wir hatten einen Tischim Obergeschoss und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienungen alle sehr nett und auch immer ansprechbar.
I recommend that you try to sit outside where it is quieter. We sat upstairs (4 people) and could hardly hear each other and wished there was a table available on the balcony. I have been there before and usually the noise level does not have a big impact on the dinner but it was a significant impediment to having a great conversation. The menu changed and did not give a lot of options as before. Service was ok. Food ok. Missed the old menu.
Great food! The wasabi Brussels sprouts were to-die-for! Reasonable prices for a nice meal in Anchorage and it was good to get away from the touristy downtown eateries. This place was a gem and our server was one of the best we’ve had. Highly recommend!
Food and service was great. The environment is fine, just a little loud. It was hard to have a conversation with the person at dinner and hear them.
Hip, casual, local spot with delicious food! Waiter not real knowledgable about the menu, but otherwise it was great and would recommend.
Food and ambiance was amazing. Our server was not very attentive and forgot our drinks but I’d have to dine there multiple times and have the same service to dock them for that.
We were very disappointed that they could not find our open table reservation. The hostess initially told us they could not seat us despite empty tables throughout the ev.
The salmon and chicken Marsala were delicious (salmon was perfectly done). The chocolate cake was rich, wonderful and decadent.
