This was our first time at Russo’s, and it won’t be our last. The food was incredible, the service was top notch and the ambience was perfect. Not only will we recommend to friends, we will bring friends next time. Bravo!
Pasta dishes at the table were all excellent. Waitress was really good.
Enjoyed our dinner. Celebration of birthday. Appetizers were great. Loved the fried artichokes.
Russo was a great choice for Italian if you want to spend a few more dollars to guarantee a great taste and experience. From the wine, to the appetizers, to the entrees, and dessert the chef did a great job providing the flavors that I wanted for dinner. Definitely going back.
Our server was knowledgeable and very attentive to our table. She clearly had tried many menu items and was very helpful in the hard decision of making only one choice!!
We loved everything from reserving a table online to being cordially greeted by the hosts. The staff checked on us so many times and we just had a really perfect time there. Will be back soon.
Service was mediocre. Waitress didn’t know much about the food she was serving.
Food was not good. Fried smelts were awful. Sooo fishy. Tasted as though they were not even close to being fresh and/or probably refrigerated.
Lasagna was too salty and too heavy on the sausage . Fruitti Di Mare was very fishy and oily as well. Also too salty. Chicken Broccoli Alfredo was over salted and the chicken had gristle. 1/2 chicken was, again, over salted.
Great spot for a nice meal. Staff and chef really care how and what you're being served. Definite hidden gem!!
Russo's was an excellent, unexpected find. Needing to pick up something in the area, just went on OT to see what was available later that day and was able to get a table. Was lucky as while we dined I noticed the hostess sending walk-ins on their way as they were fully booked for the evening. Busy for good reason... it's fabulous!
This place is laid back, casual atmosphere but very comfortable and well designed. They did a nice job with keeping the character of the building. But the food is the thing here... I read the reviews about their freshly made pastas... so we stuck with that. I had the Pasta Pomodoro and added meatballs.... a wonderfully satisfying dish. My wife had the Gnocchi with red sauce... also excellent.
Service from Linda was perfect... efficient and personable.
I'll be back soon to try their Pork Chop.
VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Ravioli was outstanding - nice atmosphere and friendly service.
75 minutes from after taking our order for four meals to come out. They also ran out of the house red wine and Bacardi. How does that happen?
Russo is an intriguing restaurant with nice dining rooms that are quiet and unique. Food is upscale Italian that is nicely served by attentive waiters. There is excellent bar service with unique drinks, a nice wine selection and decent selection of craft beer and regular American beer. Russo is casual, yet elegant. Reservations are not necessary but are recommended.
The food was delicious, I had the fruiting de mare, so so good, loaded with fresh seafood. I thoroughly enjoyed it .my daughter had chicken Alfredo, the best she’s ever had, felt like we were in the North End! Our new favorite Italian restaurant! We will definitely be back! So good and prices are reasonable
Food is very good hard to find a traditional italian restaurant in the worcester area. Love the feel of the place as well.
The combination of great service, nice ambiance and a very good meal was terrific. Highly recommended.
Great food, great atmosphere and the service was great! Music choice was also very nice
Great Italian food that is homemade! It's so worth the trip to Russo's. You get a great meal, adequate portions, delicious recipes and priced appropriately. Great music to bring you to Italy and kind wait staff.
The seasonal salad was outstanding. Enjoyed everything else.
Excellent dinner with outside seating. Enjoy the people atmosphere on the street.
Very good…..was disappointed was out of some beers. Also wanted the dessert special but they didn’t end up having it……….asked the waitress if the dinner I ordered was spicy and she said no…not really and it was…for me anyway.
Blue lives matter flag outside made the dinner a bit more uncomfortable with a person of color at the table. Something for them to consider. Food was great and service was as well
Good variety on the menu. The Egglant Parmigiana Pie was amazing! The Thursday special was a bargain: $10 for homemade pasta and two meatballs. However, the meatballs are all pork -- a distinct flavor that was not to the liking of two of the three people in our party who tried them. We had around table, always a bonus for conversation, especially with a larger group. The ambience is nice. The pacing of the service was a bit off, most notably when taking the check. Bonus: they have their own parking, free and off-street.
Usually we love Russo as it's one of our favorite restaurants in Worcester. Tonight, however, we drew the short straw and ended up with a poor server. The food was great as usual but the service left a lot to be desired. We were also surprised they didn't have cappuccino- we asked for regular coffee instead and were disappointed that it was weak instant coffee. Given the relatively expensive price, we will think twice before going back, unfortunately.
First time with the family...good experience....had small issues, like getting our salads and dinners at the same time, serving wine to all eligible members? my 23 yr old daughter was not poured wine as the server did with my wife and I, she was not carded and the servers just ignored that situation, which I found a bit rude...the expeditor was not pleasant, so nothing major but I feel a place like Russo’s would have staff trained better. A note that I’m an experienced restaurant GM so nut expectations are high, again, for a place as nice as yours. Food was very good and ambiance was great. Thank you! Overall very good.
We sat at a tiny 2-person table when the restaurant was empty. They continued to seat at these 2-person tables that seemed really close together which was odd. The sausage and meatballs are delicious but ours weren’t hot when served. Veal saltimbocca was also very tasty. Don’t order the tiramisu if you’re looking for flavor. I want to love this restaurant as we met the owner on our first visit and he seemed great and had a passion for wine like we do. Overall okay.
This is the best old school Italian restaurant in all of Worcester. We had a large range of appetizers from bruschetta to calamari and everything was delicious. The dinner entrees we tried included chicken parmigiana and gnocchi in vodka sauce...both were amazing!! The server was very efficient and super friendly and we loved our dinner experience. The restaurant is really cozy and authentic feeling and the home made pasta was a big plus!
The food was good service was poor. Waitress was very friendly however was very inattentive. She had a total of 2 tables including ours and would disappear to the kitchen for long periods of time. Ordering a drink should not take 20 minutes and when I asked where it was no apology just said going to get it now . Very disappointing to pay good money for a mother's day celebration which came with poor service .
Great food everyone enjoyed themselves-such a special night for Mother's Day-Mr. Russo was very gracious and generous
One my favorite restaurants. The food is outstanding and Jonathan provide great service.
Outstanding. This was my 2nd time at Russos, and it is as good as it gets for a quality Italian restaurant. My wife is 1st generation (Italian) and my mother-in-law is an excellent Italian cook, so I'm spoiled and it's hard for me to find a meal better than what I get on Sunday afternoons. So hopefully she (my mother in law) is not reading this, cause Russo's is better. Sorry mom. My wife and I had the veal parmesan and chicken saltimbocca - both with fresh pasta - most recently, and we'll be going back as soon as feasible. Loved all of it.
Was not happy with the quality of the food at all chicken was awful and gamey the smell of not fresh fish lingering in the air nit what I expected at all
Great first time experience! Food and service were superb. We will be back!
Great place with great atmosphere. Would highly recommend for a great night out!
Have been to Russo several times and always a very nice experience. The food is great and the service is very professional. Highly recommended.
We love Russo! You need to eat here!
Our server, Emily, was fantastic - warm, friendly and knowledgable.
Had the BEST pork chop ever!! Thing was giant and well cooked.
This was our first time here. We were totally impressed with the whole experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant!
Made a last-minute reservation after walking through the neighborhood .We sat at a little hightop in the bar area , gorgeous atmosphere , service was attentive and food was amazing I had the best sausage and broccoli rabe with homemade pasta probably that I’ve ever had my sister had veal marsala which was equally amazing. I took a Bolognese with fresh pasta to go for my boyfriend which he ate that night and then the next day and he said it was delicious I will definitely be going back. So happy to have found this great spot!!!
Some really awful red wines
Waitress wonderful helping to find a nice wine
Food very salty
Dish Taken away before one of us was actually finished
