It was great! Our waitress was so nice! Food was awesome and service was impeccable
A fabulous place for afternoon tea. The staff did a superb job!
Excellent service with excellent food! I would recommend it to everyone!
Staff was so nice and friendly but f
I’ve been living in NYC for 3 years and this was the tastiest food I’ve had at a restaurant
NYC trip with friends to celebrate life!
My wife and I had the afternoon tea. Mistake. RTR is for Russian specialties, not little sandwiches from whatever appetizing store the raw materials emanate. The kicker was using the $200 Master Card Reward from Open Table to pay my $130.65 tab. I was surprised to learn that the $200 are gone, regardless of the price of the meal. When I was so informed I bumped the tip up to $69.35. If the wait staff was thrilled by this sudden stroke of good fortune they did not show it, which leads me to believe that the excess might otherwise have gone to the restaurant. RTR is a terrific place to go during Restaurant Week. I can't wait.
An NYC classic. Thank you for the great hospitality!
So wonderful to dine at Russian Tea Room again - one of the most beautiful dining rooms in NYC. Tables are nicely spread apart, so it feels very safe and clean. My salad was delicious. My halibut was simply superb. And the chocolate cake was to die for. The service was outstanding and the prices quite reasonable for the location, quality and portions. I will go back very soon.
The Beautiful decor and high-class ambiance make the atmosphere.
Staff were friendly and helpful, we felt comfortable with how they were handling the covid health concerns. Food, ambiance and drinks were amazing.
Great food and the room is extraordinary
Great time, well paced, and attentive waitstaff!
Excellent!! I recommend highly for lunch time. Good vibes, great food and good scene for two friends just trying to talk. Love it.
Everything our party of four ordered was amazing. I love that the menu isn't your standard fare, which makes it perfect for celebrations. I haven't been here since the 90s and it completely lived up to my memories and expectations. The atmosphere is a little sad because of Covid restrictions, but I hope that will turn around soon.
Very aesthetically pleasing and true to the theme. The creme brûlée is so delicious. Staff is very courteous and friendly.
Waitress was exceptional considering she was the only one there.
Friendly service, great food. Will be back again for sure.
The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The food and drinks were amazing.
I went to take my sons friend that love TV show gossip girl.
Food was not of good or great quality. Not sure if they even have a Pastry chef. Afternoon tea sandwiches were like sandwiches you would see at a low budget company picnic. The pastries seemed to be made from something like Pillsbury dough biscuits- they were not scones.
One time experience but I personally would not return or recommend
Still an NYC treasure! Food is delicious and service is impeccable!
As always, this NYC cornerstone is back open and regardless of Covid precautions is still just as wonderful. In an uncertain world, god bless the perfect Chicken Kiev and ice cold vodka Martin at RTR. Stay strong NYC!
Very nice Ambiance! Vlaydmir was great if you can request him !
Never disappoints!! Absolutely love the Russian Tea Room!!
I love this restaurant always thank you for the memories ❤
Hopefully, indoor dining will NOT be shut down any time soon. Everyone has to experience either high tea or dinner at least once here. The interior is just magical, especially during the holidays. Pandemic precautions were taken very seriously here. I felt safe and was able to relax and enjoy my evening. The food is excellent. If you can afford it, it's all about the caviar experience here! Prices are on the higher side, which is expected for such an iconic place, but totally worth it (in my opinion). Perfect for any special occasion, date night, or a hang with friends.
Food was amazing! Best Moscow Mule and Beef Stroganoff ever! Parfait was so delicious. Great service.
The Russian tea room was beautiful. The service was excellent! The food was delicious! We will definitely visit again.
Absolutely delish and beautiful! The food is made to perfection, the service is on point, and the decor is gorgeous
The restaurant was very festively decorated and the music reflected the holiday season quite well. The service was elegant and paced well. The food was interesting and great tasting. I had not eaten there in over 4 decades but will make sure to be a regular patron as of rediscovering this gem again.
Thanksgiving Dinner was lovely
We went to the RTR to celebrate my 59th birthday. For decades, I've walked past your iconic restaurant without ever setting foot inside.
My family and I totally loved our experience there.
The food was excellent and the service was Great!
I can't wait to return.
Loved it, great service, fantastic food and stunning decor
Beautiful iconic NYC restaurant. High tea for my daughters birthday was very special. The service and care were lovely. It was a nice experience in a very crazy year.
Beautiful dining room, great staff, treated myself to caviar, did not disappoint. Maî·tre d' was very friendly, great personality. Would return.
When I lived in NYC this was a favorite of mine. I even got married in one of their private rooms. This was the first time I had been back since it reopened and I was not disappointed. It was just as I remembered it but newer and brighter, same beautiful samovars and red banguete seats. I took a friend there for lunch and we both enjoyed the crepe appetizer and beef stroganoff immensely. The tiramisu was not my favorite. It was served as a small piece of layer cake. I prefer it layered in a bowl like an old fashioned strawberry shortcake. The restaurant infused cucumber and dill vodka was good but I wish they had a honey vodka. The banguetes are huge and they only seated every other one, the staff wore masks as did the patrons when not in their seats, We felt perfectly safe from the pandemic. This was a first visit for my friend and she loved it as much as I do. We will be back.
The place looks very fancy and elegant. Food was very good. But was disappointed for a place this fancy and expensive they couldn’t accommodate us for the afternoon tea just 1 hour earlier to make us happy. We got there at 11 and they said it starts strictly at 12pm. The entire restaurant was empty when we were there and we travelled far to get there just for the afternoon tea. We even asked twice.
The place is pretty and famous for it’s afternoon tea.
However we were really disappointed. The tea was weak and badly brewed, the sandwiches were ok but the pastries were far from what’s expected in a high tea.
Service was gentle and kind but there were some issues between the staff.
I was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is fantastic.
