Great dinner last evening on the patio at Russell's on Macklind! Enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks and meal. Will definitely go back.
Wonderful in all aspects!
My daughter and I had a great time dining at this restaurant. The food, service, ambiance, etc.... was all fantastic! I love that the food is seasonal and fresh. We ate outside on the deck/patio area- beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant. I do have two negative critiques- uncomfortable chairs on the deck area outside. I even overheard someone else say these were the most uncomfortable chairs. Also, I hate to see piles of dirty dishes in bins when I am eating. Unfortunately, our table was right next to the dirty dish pile. However, even with these two recommendations for improvement I would certainly go back. I think I will make sure I don't sit in the uncomfortable chairs and ask for a table away from the dirty dish bins.
Incredible food and ambiance on the upper patio seating! Our anniversary dinner was all around amazing. We split the BLAT salad and the blackberry balsamic glazed pork chop which was divine. The whipped ricotta appetizer with warm grilled bread was also so delicious! And obviously the desserts are ridiculously good…a rich turtle brownie and chocolate mousse-y pie with strawberries and whipped cream. Thank you for making our anniversary so relaxed, delicious, and memorable! We’ll be back for sure.
Great food, service and courtyard for an enjoyable experience! Not to mention some of the Best deserts in the city
Server was great, as were the wine and salad. Entree was not. We had halibut. It was dry and flavorless. Had high hope when the server mentioned it. Was really disappointing for $42.
Excellent food and service! Hope to return soon. Missed the experience during height of covid scare
charming farm to table with delicious food and a creative collection of fun cocktails.
The service polite and fast . We enjoy eating outside. Cannot leave out the delicious desserts.
Food was excellent as usual; server was many times distracted and often times looking else when at our table
My favorite brunch in STL by far!
Had brunch with my mom and grandmother. We all had a great time and the food was delicious. Addy was a great server! She was friendly and also very patient with my grandma who is hard of hearing and can become easily confused. I also asked for a cinnamon roll to-go but the kitchen forgot and they ran out. It wasn’t an issue though - Addy let me pick a pastry from behind the counter and it was on the house. I always love Russell’s for their delicious food, great atmosphere, and stellar service. As always, we’ll be back!
As usual Russell’s did not disappoint. Delicious food, fantastic service and delish desserts. Looking forward to next time!!
Met with friend for brunch. Ordered breakfast burritos…best in town…could not have been a better day
Always delicious. Do yourself a favor and get a giant cinnamon roll for the table
Wonderful brunch menu and service! We loved the patio.
Sandy our waitress was amazing. Our friend we were with had a stroke years ago and struggles with speech. Sandy recognized this and was very kind and patient. Food was outstanding.
All workers were super friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work.
Great neighborhood dining experience. Food and service were excellent, portions generous, relaxed atmosphere.
We love Russel’s so much! One of our favorite brunch, lunch or dinner spots. They never disappoint!
My daughters 21st birthday brunch
If you can get seated outside on a nice night, it will be a wonderful time! Inside is a little echoish, but everyone that works there is so nice, with the exception of one guy that sounded like he was from New York and was slightly off compared to everyone else.
Our dinner & drinks were delicious! We had the hand cut pasta, sea bass, a burger & the BLAT salad. We tried the Jelly Jar & the Poolside off the drink menu. Highly recommend both! Service was great as well! We sat outside on the patio. Completely enjoyed our evening. We will definitely go back!
Great Sunday brunch.
This is our favorite brunch place in the neighborhood. The food is fantastic and comes in large portions. The only complaint is that is can be loud inside.
Russell’s is the perfect get together place, great food, great wine and always amazing service!
Excellent dinner, excellent everything! I had the baked chicken which was incredible!
I wish I lived closer (I'm in Chicago) because this would be my go-to place.
Lovely patios if weather permits. Inside can be very noisy. Tasty, substantial entrees, somewhat meat-forward.
Fantastic restaurant. Laid back and peaceful atmosphere. Great place for a date, birthday, and any other special occasion.
Good food, great outdoor dining and wonderful desserts.
Great good, wonderful service! Love the atmosphere!
This was great! Steak frites is to die for!
From the appetizers to the main course to the desert the food was absolutely amazing. Love the casual atmosphere and the friendly staff.
Had the best pasta dish!!! Met my friends for dinner and had a great time
Great food and service
A little noisy
Great place for special occasions
Cute spot! Great food! Yummy treats! Reservations are a must as it is a smaller venue.
Chicken and vegetables were tough and hard to cut. $42 steak special was also tough and tasteless. Salads we’re mediocre.
Russell's is an iconic neighborhood spot with good atmosphere, great food and friendly service.
We really love this place
One of the best restaurants in St Louis. Elevated comfort food, prompt, friendly service, city vibe atmosphere. What a neighborhood place should be.
I loved being able to make a reservation online, they even got us in 15 minutes early for a 645pm reservation. They were friendly when greeting us, however the waiter wasn’t all that pleasant. Nothing terribly wrong he just wasn’t that friendly and seemed annoyed, and I kept hearing him rush everyone to make decisions because the restaurant was getting busy. First thing we noticed when seated on the patio was how loud it was. We could barely hear each other talking and instead of yelling we mostly sat quietly and checked emails while waiting for our food. I was disappointed to find that the giant cinnamon roll, that I had heard so much about and went there specifically for, is only served on weekend mornings. We had the s’mores cake instead which was delicious and almost made up for the disappointment. We also had the sirloin which was good, but honestly nothing special for the price. I probably wouldn’t come back for a meal, but the desserts are worth getting carry out.
