I have been to Russell's before and it was pleasant. Not so this time. The service was amiable but very slow. Took a very long time for food to arrive. We were entertained but a colony of small sugar ants who were sharing our table. In all fairness, our waiter offered to seat us elsewhere while they addressed the ants but we were not all that bothered by the insects. The second serving of coffee was good, the first not all that hot -literally. Of the 3 meals, one was great (lobster rolls) one was okay (naked burger), one was half inedible (waffles were too hard to cut). Surprised that manager didn't care - and because of that, we will probably not return. Nice view though (beyond the ants....)
The only issue I had was that the servers did not wear masks. In light of the surge in cases I felt it would have made all of us feel better.
The food and drinks were outstanding and the staff was professional and fun.
We ordered the avocado toast and the hamburger and both dishes were really very very good. And our waitress was very sweet and nice.
Our server was great. The bartender needs to learn to make a better unsweet old fashioned. The food was very good. I’d go back!
Really enjoyed the appetizers and the service was outstanding.
Excellent! From the moment we stepped out of our car until we left, everyone we came in contact with was polite, helpful, and gave wonderful service.
The food was exceptional. Lobster rolls, crab avocado toast, delicious!
I really enjoyed brunch with my besties at Russell’s. It was our first time there and our waiter was phenomenal! Highly recommend!
Great location, but parking is a challenge. They do have valet service. The menu is inspiring and the food is delicious; service was attentive. Good vibe, although a bit loud. Overall a terrific new addition to Orlando’s dining scene. Will definitely return.
The swordfish was wonderful. We had an enjoyable evening. you are obviously shorthanded and we understood. It is a beautiful location.
Rusell’s is a special place. Incredible lake front views, nice wine list, lovely menu. The staff are helpful and attentive. We had the lobster roll with the crispiest fries! Delicious. We also enjoyed dessert which was also delicious. You won’t be disappointed if you try this gem on Lake Ivanhoe!
What a fabulous menu - we were torn between so many options! The view over the lake is lovely, the food and service was excellent and the live entertainment was acoustic and at the perfect sound level. Definitely recommend!
Our waiter was very attentive throughout the evening without being a nuisance. The Tuna and Avocado Tartar appetizer was absolutely scrumptious. We couldn't stop talking about it. The food and wine were incredible. I highly recommend Russell's on Lake Ivanhoe for date night. You won't be sorry.
Table was ready when we arrived snd immediately we were offered drinks. I ordered a Tom Collins, which was perfect! My husband had wine, Sauvignon Blanc. We has the carpaccio, which was delicious with great flavor and lots of capers. My husband for his entrees had the swordfish. It was moist, fresh, with a delicious flavor. Amazing dish! I had the duck confit with their mashed potatoes and spinach. It was very well seasoned, and went very well with my side dishes.
We really loved the food! Desserts looked great, but we were full. Next time we will have dessert!
Awesome place! We will be back!
We enjoyed our first visit so much, we made a reservation for a return visit while sitting at the bar after Brunch. Food, Service, Drinks, and Ambiance were great!
had 3egg omelette w/landons & jalapeños…Landons under cooked & not enough peppers. Otherwise, good meal!
Wish you would open for lunch during the week!
Outstanding staff, service and food. It was a great meal and experience.
Great location, ambience, service, live music.
Salad contained too much red cabbage, pieces way too large, and bitter. More green and baby tomatoes please. Dressing needed more flavor.
Omelets and fries were OK
Vietnamese salad - not much flavor - needed more, zippier dressing. guest did not eat much of it.
Has real potential with just a few small tweaks.
We will be back.
This was one of the best meals that We’ve had in the last few years.
Our appetizers were generous & tasty, however pork belly should have sauce incorporated in some way instead of dry meat sitting on sangria sauce. Bread was amazing. Entrees were so-so. We had the special (red snapper) and the chicken Kiev. Side dishes were just ok. Sangria and basil/watermelon cocktail were nice. Everything we ordered needed more seasoning. Service was very friendly.
Great Service and great food! Staff was really friendly!! Dom was on top of everything!
The food was tasty, and the waitstaff were attentive. We arrived early for brunch and the noise level and environment was very chill. Closer to noon when we left, it was getting much more noisy. If you prefer a more quiet dinning experience, I recommend going for brunch closer to 10 - 11 am.
My wife said this was one of the best meals she has ever had!
Very nice setting on lake Ivanhoe. Pablo was our lovely server.
The team here is top notch. The bar manager Zoey made us feel right at home. She even called to confirm our reservation with the pending storm (which blew over and had zero impact on our experience.) Our waiter Sebastian was there whenever we needed him but not overbearing. We didn’t feel rushed and were able to enjoy our meal.
We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday here on the 4th of July and it was lovely! The service was upbeat and attentive to our party of eight and they received and served the birthday cake from The Glass Knife in a very lovely way. A beautiful setting and a perfect evening. Thank you!!
Far too loud for a brunch. Loud music with no sound buffering. Loud guests with no screens or sound breaks— basically one large room with lots of echoes. Couldn’t hear my dinner guest. Gave up after awhile.
Food and service were impeccable — as was the bar. Worth coming back but with earplugs or at a different time.
Had a great brunch experience! I had the lobster rolls and they were delicious!!!! The view was great. Danielle was a wonderful server! Can't wait to come back for dinner soon!
First experience was overall good. Bartender Cassandra was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful! Food was prepared well but could have come out hotter.
Amazing brunch. Easy parking and great views. The food and service were outstanding, I highly recommend!!
Saturday brunch, arrived at 2 pm. Seated right away, ordered house special chardonnay and riesling which were just $5 a glass. Both were spot on and we're wine snobs admittedly so good wine at a great price was a win!
Wife had lobster rolls and I had crab avocado toast. Both were very tasty. A bit expensive but the wine prices balanced the price of the bill.
The live musician was amazing and a brilliant addition to great atmosphere.
All in all, us and the couple that joined us agreed, we'll be back.
overall good… a little slow bringing out food
Food was very good. There were nine in our party and most were very pleased with their food. Service was acceptable. Server was engaging. One issue we had was when our meals were being served it was by runners and a manager who did not know which plate went to whom. The server should have been there. All in all it was good. Would we return, no. Not worth the high prices and noisy atmosphere.
Nice ambiance, staff was extremely attentive, beautiful view to the lake, I’ll definitely visit them again. Perfect romantic spot.
We reserved outside and we’re seated. outside but no one came after that. Started to rain and went inside. Sunday Brunch is well attended. Extremely loud. I would not go again on Sunday. The room does not absorb the noise and attendees are there to be boisterous.
A great location brought down by mediocre food. While flavorful, both entrees were overcooked. A steak that was requested medium came out a hard medium-well, and the blackened salmon was cooked to the border of being dry. The tableside caesar salad was a highlight. Service was friendly and competent. No sign of adult supervision (i.e. a manager) in the dining room.
Similar odd experience as some of the reviews on google from the past month. It was a pretty busy Friday night and this was our second visit to the restaurant as we enjoyed their brunch a few months ago. I ordered the Sea Bass over seafood paella. It looked amazing! However, when I got to the clams in the paella, 1 out of the 3 clams was completely crammed with muddy black gunk. It flowed out of the shell into the paella leaving a swamp water smell in the rice. I removed the clam for our waiter to see and he quickly took it back, but left the paella. We didn’t see him again until he asked us if we wanted dessert. When we declined, he immediately laid our bill on the table and took off making no mention of the clam or the untouched paella. The dish was still on the bill which was fine, I just wish he had taken the paella away and offered another side to accompany the fish. It felt as if we were being avoided. We did ask for a box so we could at least take the Sea Bass home, but the paella was a lost cause. Up until our entrees came out, our waiter was absolutely wonderful and conversational and I still think he is! After reading the other reviews, it sounds like there is more going on beyond the wait staffs control. If we ever go back again and have a similar experience, I’ll speak up, but this time we just wanted to get out of there. Aside from the paella problems, the other entree in our meal was mediocre. Burger was bland, fries were cold. However, the table side Caesar salad was one of the best salads I’ve had. The beet and burratta appetizer was good and the cocktails were great!
Pablo was awesome!!!!
