The chateaubriand tenderloin for 2 was anything but tender. We only had a portion of the meat. It was well below expectations The beans were excellent and the salad was sub par Overall a very disappointing experience and very expensive for what we received We would not go back and we would not recommend it

Visited on 17th July with my wife had 2 steak dinners steaks done to perfection and nice pieces of meat the ribeye and sirloin. Prawns for starters very tasty Ambience was lovely and it was quiet when we visited. Only small gripe was having to pay extra for chips…Steak only came with Salad so everything else was extra. But overall good experience… tasty food and lovely staff.

We booked a table at Russell’s for late Lunchtime on Sunday, we have been here a few times over the years and have always enjoyed the food. Sunday we chose the rack of Lamb, the Lamb was superb-perfectly cooked and well presented, however the accompanying veg, cauliflower cheese, military strength Roast potatoes, green beans were a disappointment - the tender stem broccoli just made the sell by date I think. The overcooked veg had been stood a while somewhere - however we were offered either new veg or reheated, but - we felt the lamb may have suffered in the ensuing wait. The 2.30pm table booking for latter end of lunchtime was probably, with hindsight better avoided.. We were served a nice glass of wine, all the staff were lovely - just the ‘tepid’ veg an issue.

My wife and I dined on the 12/7 for our 39th anniversary. You had a very drunk and verbally out of control diner in the front area of the restaurant. When asked if we could be moved to the rear area of the restaurant after we had finished our starter then your staff were extremely attentive and accommodated our request. Your staff apologized on more than one occasion for the diners behaviour. Food was very good and service excellent. Would come back!!!

Food was excellent - best rib eye steak i’ve had for a long while. Service was brilliant no problems. Surroundings comfortable and nice. Price average for these days.

Really lovely staff, food and ambience. The meal was beautiful. Would definitely recommend but advise to book to avoid disappointment.
