Rumi's Kitchen first opened more than a decade ago in Atlanta, the result of years of development by Chef / Owner Ali Mesghali. Showcasing the flavors of Iran -- fresh herbs, kabobs cooked over an open-fire grill -- quickly won loyal guests at the original location in Sandy Springs, GA and set us on pace to open our first restaurant outside of Georgia in 2020. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet whose words and life teach us how to find inner peace, happiness and love. We invite you to Rumi’s Kitchen where fresh, healthy food and attentive Persian hospitality await you.

    Always a 10/10 experience at Rumi’s. There isn’t one where I live so I always go out of my way to eat here when I’m in DC. Recommend the Shrimp and Mushroom Hummus.

    The food was amazing! We were sitting next to a rather loud and obnoxious group that detracted from the ambiance a bit, but 100% would do it again and highly recommend it!

    As always, a fabulous experience at Rumi’s! Food is phenomenal and service , the best in D.C. Jack helms management and all managers in D.C. should learn from him and take a page out of his book. He is so generous and personable and makes us feel like we are part of his family— a great community spirit and much nurturance and caring! We will always be back!

    Rumi's Kitchen was EPIC in hosting my Fine Dining Group. the food and Drinks were Exceptional. Michael our server was EPIC in explaining everything to us from the food and wine. The atmosphere was Priceless. Donna Green with a sunshine smile

    We were a party of 6 and Lily truly took care of us. The food is always excellent at Rumi’s but the service for this reservation was top-tier from the hostesses, the bartenders, to the waitstaff. We had a wonderful time!

    Hands down - the Persian restaurant in the United States. Love this place! Having lived in SoCal and gone to all the Los Angeles and Irvine Persian restaurants, Rumi is #1 in the USA.
