   We ordered fish and vegetable kabob. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The after dinner tea was surprisingly delicious.

   We have been to Rumi several times and have always been consistent with the quality of food and service. The waiting staff is attentive and very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items.

   Our reservation was for 14 people at 8 pm on persian new year’s eve and we were not fully seated until 8:40. The food was subpar. Waiter kept removing dishes although we were not finished with them and he got angry when we said we we’re still working on the food stating that it’s unusually busy given the new year and there is no place on the table for the main course. the Fish was overdone and the meat was chewy. I ordered lamb shank with fava bean rice but instead got vegetable rice that is usually served with the fish because “this what is served for the season”. All in all it wasn’t a great experience and I wouldn’t recommend the place.

   We went for the Persian New Year. It was packed. Delicious and fresh food, fantastic service, lovely decoration and ambiance with open kitchen. I really recommend it!

   The food at Rumi's was creative and delicious. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and efficient. We started eating at 7:00pm on a Sunday night and as the restaurant filled up it became quite loud and more difficult to hear each other. Unfortunately, that did dampen our conversation. We want to return because we loved their food, so next time we will try to go much earlier, before the dinner rush, maybe 5:00pm, so that it won't be so loud.

   We weren’t familiar with Persian food, and the waiter did a wonderful job of walking us through the menu and making recommendations. Everything was delicious - but save room for the Persian ice cream sandwiches!

    The entire experience was outstanding (5+ stars). I highly recommend Rumi’s Kitchen…they won’t disappoint. I had the salmon and my daughter had duck and both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. I’m already planning my next visit.

    Absolutely delicious authentic Persian food. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable with an open kitchen concept. Bathrooms are very clean. Star deducted because while we had a reservation we had to wait for 30 minutes for our table to be ready and unfortunately the bar area is small so there not as if you are able to have a drink while you wait. Was not our first time here and definitely will be back.

    Amazing as usual! The soltani kebab is perfect for beef lovers and the two rices with cherries and barberries are a must! Don’t sleep in the humus with merguez either!

    We went here for lunch during our family’s trip to DC. The restaurant is spacious for big group gathering. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was nicely flavored, thoughtfully paired with ingredients. Overall delicious.

    Awesome and delicious food brings me back routinely. Last night’s meal stood out because our server, Connor, was fantastic. He paid attention to our group in just the right way - attentive to our pace, gracious in navigating the menu, and offering helpful information at just the right moment. One of my guests is hearing impaired, and Connor adeptly adjusted to his needs in a very welcoming and appropriate manner. Really appreciated that!

    It was a cold day, so we sat outside under a heat lamp, which made conversation easy, as all the other diners were inside. The meal begins with excellent hospitality: a gift plate of radishes, herbs, walnuts and cheese accompanied by bread hot from the oven. And complimentary sparkling water. The falafel was outstanding, delicate and filled with herbs, accompanied by yogurt, tahini, beets and beans. And the shirin rice was to die for, studded with orange, barberries, almonds and pistachios. And our server was lovely, knowledgeable, and very attentive. This must have been my fifth visit to this restaurant, and I'll keep on coming.

    Unexpectedly, our dinner discussion turned quite serious and our wait staff took no notice. We were interrupted more than 3x to pay the bill. We came to learn that a larger party needed our table. If we had been told that we would have never lingered… and there were tables a plenty around us. Instead we were almost harassed to vacate.. it would have been better if we were told directly that our table was needed for another larger party instead of being dive bombed by the circling hawks …. It made a difficult evening much more unpleasant.

    Surprisingly it was very busy for lunch on a Tuesday. Our server Conner was excellent as well as our food. The noise level was perfect enough to serve as white noise while out toddler took his nap on his stroller right beside us.

    Food was delicious. Were seated outside under an open hole in the street side tent, draft was terrible despite the near by heater. Wore coats for the entire meal. Inside was very loud, but besides that I totally recommend Rumis. The food was AMAZING.

    The food was delicious but the best part was our incredible server Bill. He was so kind and friendly. I’m a vegan and he was a huge help guiding me through the menu. One of the greatest dining experiences ever thanks to Bill!

    Food was great and reasonably priced for the city. The service was great, very nice people. It is loud but we moved closer to the bar and that was much quieter. I’d definitely go again next time we are in DC.

    The food was good and drinks were fine. Our server was great. The restaurant was very crowded and at some point during our appetizers, they added a table right behind me to make a four person table into a six person table. The addition of that table made it so it was too tight behind my chair and nearly every server that walked by bumped the chair or brushed up against me trying to get by no matter how much I moved in. It was a huge annoyance to try and eat dinner like that and it ruined most of the experience.

    This is my 3rd time at Rumi's. The food is great. The service has been fantastic each time with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The portions are large. I recommend getting a few appetizers to share the different tastes and one entree for 2 people. They can split the entrees and also split with 2 different types of rice.

    The food was very good but the service was slow. Appetizers did not come out until after the main dishes. Very long wait time after we sat down and got out order in and then after we ordered. The waiter was courteous and professional and did his best but wasn’t sure if he was new or not.
