Rumi's Kitchen first opened more than a decade ago in Atlanta, the result of years of development by Chef / Owner Ali Mesghali. Showcasing the flavors of Iran -- fresh herbs, kabobs cooked over an open-fire grill -- quickly won loyal guests at the original location in Sandy Springs, GA and set us on pace to open our first restaurant outside of Georgia in 2020. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet whose words and life teach us how to find inner peace, happiness and love. Our server Autumn was wonderful. She gave us amazing suggestions for dinner, and she was very friendly and attentive. All of the staff seemed really great and seemed to have a great team atmosphere. Portions were huge so value was great. We dined on the patio so I don’t know what the noise level was in the restaurant. They had incense burning outside which adds to the experience and I think also may help keep bugs away? Overall great experience!

Amazing food! Excellent service! Every dish is memorable in taste and presentation! We visit as often as as we can their food surpasses all other middle eastern restaurant in quality, taste and presentation

Food was great as always. Jojeh Kabab was a little bit churned but still delicious. The Kabab Barg was very tender! Albaloo polo was out of this world. Service was great the staffs are very friendly and attentive.

It was a surprise retirement dinner for my husband and Diego was fabulous! Best meal ever and he took such good care of us. Great food and great cocktails and wine. Diego steered us in the right direction. This was the first of many reservations we will make at Rumi’s Kitchen!

Always make sure we come here when visiting my MIL in VA. Hands down best Persian food around with great service and love the vibe too!! Plus, the SS Poet is one of my favorite cocktails. See you again in about 3 months

Excellent food! Wonderful service! Small mixup with our reservation because several friends had reservations at the same time and we got ourselves a bit confused however the restaurant handled it professionally and perfectly. I would recommend Rumi to anyone visiting DC.
