Chef Ali Mesghali"s nearly lifelong love of cooking combined with his love for Sufism brought to life for the first time in Atlanta's culinary scene the concept of Rumi's Kitchen in 2005.
At Rumi's Kitchen, Ali has been able to artfully bring together an atmosphere full of joyous energy with attentive and generous Persian hospitality along with the unforgettable unique aromas and flavors of the Persian cuisine which is truly reflective of his simple intention to bring joy and happiness to the overall dining experience of the guests. Every member of the team at Rumi's Kitchen strives in delivering the service that is demanded by such a unique intention and vision.
While Rumi's Kitchen is a Persian restaurant at its core, the menu is constantly supplemented by dishes pulling influences from other countries, keeping the cuisine at the forefront of the dining scene in Atlanta.

We love Rumi's kitchen and we reserve a table there for most of our special occasions. This was a celebration for my husbands birthday. We made 7:15 reservations and checked in on the dot. But we had to wait for 25 minutes to finally be seated. Once seated we ordered a beer and two mocktails. None of the items were available on the mocktails menu. Then the bread service (one of my favorite parts about dining at Rumi's) came at the same time as our meal. And I asked for more pita which never came! The food is always spectacular but the overall service was less than we have come to expect from this wonderful restaurant.

Our favorite Friday night date spot combined with live music on the Green at Avalon. The best grilled lamb kabobs in Atlanta without a doubt, terrific wine list and always great service!

Front desk check in service was absolutely horrendous. They couldn’t answer any questions about table wait time, were rude, and 8 of them just stood around front desk ignoring everyone talking.

We had a great time . Initially we were upset because we had a reservation but were not seated until 30 min after our reservation time but the manager came to the table and apologized for the delay and from that point the experience was A+; Great Service, Great Food and nice cocktails! . We left very happy!

Our server was amazing! Recommending the watermelon salad and lamb hummus. She also paired our cocktails which were divine! Entree portions are large, so if you do get appetizers, you might want to share. The wine by the glass is top tier, get the cab franc, you won’t be disappointed. Our experience was very very good.

Awesome food and service …as usual. We both had the salmon entree and split the watermelon salad between 2 people. Delicious bread and appetizer crudités. Salmon lovers, this is your place… it doesn’t get any better than this.
