Rumi's always is a fantastic choice! We always have a fantastic meal; food is wonderful and full of flavor. Mitch was an excellent waiter as well~
Fantastic as usual. Customer service was fantastic too!
We love Tiger the young guy who served us this time again. Every time we have him, he makes it extra pleasant for the guests.
Food was great as usual.
We had 6 guests in our party and the table was just comfortable enough for 4. When having a party of 6 make sure the table can accommodate that many.
I thought the food and flavor was overall not good. The plate that came out with complementary pita bread, feta, olives, the mint and salad was awesome. Had us excited for dinner, but mine was sub par and my husband’s chicken and rice was terrible. A very dry plate and the flavor just was faint. Very plain. Very disappointing bc the atmosphere inside and especially outside was amazing! Will definitely not go back.
Perfect place for girls night out :) you can enjoy great food and ambiance.
Been going to to Rumi’s at the Avalon for a while now and my opinion about the food & the experience has been consistent.
Food - Great
Service - Slow, Slow and Slow! Hasn’t changed for the good but is trending downwards for sure.
My overall rating is a 4. We had reservations yet waited 30 minutes to be seated.
Food was amazing, Loud Loud Loud! Definitely would not go back on a Saturday night. Server was solid.
My reservations were at 7:30 and i didn’t get seated until 8:45, the food services took forever.
We had a reservation for 3 people at 7:45, made days earlier. When we arrived at the packed host stand, we were informed they were running a little behind, perhaps 30 minutes, but would text me when the table was ready. We wait for a while then went to a different restaurant. I received the text that our table was ready at 9:00 PM. It was packed so I guess the food is good, but we didn't get to try it!
Had a great time with friends! Food was fabulous!!
This place is WAY too noisy. They tried to squeeze way too many tables in a small area. You are getting bumped into and having to move your seat numerous times throughout dinner. But the food and service are great.
Went for their lamb special. Generally have their rack of lamb( which I love). Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the roasted lamb. The portion wasn’t adequate neither was the presentation. The flavor was a bit lack luster. Was anticipating a delight for my tastebuds like I generally receive from Rumi’s. I’ll be back though! Actually just had lunch today at Rumi’s- Roswell Rd.
My husband & I celebrated our 24th anniversary this week. We love the food and have always visited the Roswell Rd location. This location was beautiful with a great atmosphere and staff. The hostess was warm and polite and our server-William was great. The management checked on us often and even brought out the dish my husband normally eats although he tried something new and preferred his familiar dish. The added touch was the dessert and champagne that we were treated to. The entire experience from being seated to leaving the restaurant was Superb!!!
Great over all
too busy noisy crowded
wonderful experience. great food and nice ambience. service was great. it is a nice place to celebrate birthdays/anniversary/get togethers.
Food is always good here. Good vegetarian options. Great ambiance and great servers
One of my favorites at Avalon. The hummus is amazing. Love the Chicken Rice Kabob entree. We had a great waiter who was very conversational. He described what each item represented and was spot on! I've been there three times and it's never disappointed.
Wait time, even with a reservation, was a bit long. However, well worth it. The food and service were both excellent!!!
Husbands birthday was a success.
The noise level was off the charts and soo many people the tables were soo close together it made it uncomfortable. We will go back because we love the food. My find another time to dine there tho than when it is soo crazy busy.
Rumi's has never disappointed!! Brought my sister and husband during their weekend visit. They loved it. Good job!!!!!
I was disappointed as they did not honor the Open Table reservation. We were there on time, but they added us to the walk-in reservation saying that tables are not available. Very disappointed with the checkin and service.
We have been going to Rumi‘s kitchen ever since it was teeny tiny in a little house in Sandy Springs! It was fantastic way back then. We’ve been to Avalon Rumi’s one other time and it was very good. This time not so great. We had a reservation at 745 and we’re not seated until 815. Our service was fair and our food was definitely not one of their best.
We sat outside and the food was great, and the cocktails where awesome too. The restaurant is very nicely decorated BUT it’s entirely too loud to have a descent conversation and far from romantic.
Amazing food and some of the best service ove had anywhere.
Except for a mistake on the order by our server we enjoyed the experience and food. The restaurant quickly acknowledged the mistake and worked to rectify it.
We asked for an outside table and it was well worth it. Service was awesome.
Super Server and Overall Experience! The best rice I have ever had bar none! Try the Chilean Sea Bass!
Noise level was a bit more than I care for, and I was super bummed that they were out of Dolmeh which we had raved to everyone about, but the food was great, as always, and our server stayed on top of everything for our party of 8 the whole meal. Had some great cocktails and decent wine selection. None of the other 6 in our group had been there and they all really enjoyed it.
We have been to Rumi’s at Avalon many times. It’s one of our favorite restaurants. Had some family in town and wanted them to take them to Rumi’s since they heard me rave about it many times. Unfortunately, they were disappointed and so was I. Had a reservation and still waited over a 1/2 hour to be seated. Once we finally were seated, the service was extremely and painfully slow. My sister waited ONE HOUR before she received her glass of wine and we reminded our waitress and any other employee we could flag down. We wanted to get up and leave! Our server was new and seemed to be working hard. she was very apologetic Even through my frustration, I felt bad for her. MUSIC WAS SOOOOOO LOUD COULDNT HEAR A WORD WE WERE SAYING TO EACH OTHER!!
Way too loud to have a conversation between four people seated at a four top. We invited a couple to join us for dinner and the noise level was extreme! Had a dinner reservation for 7:15. Checked in at 7:15 and was not seated until 8:00. Felt very rushed thru meal as servers were trying to clear plates before we were finished with courses. It was evident they wanted to quickly turn tables.
Check my yelp review! Everything was excellent: service, food, charming maitre'd!
Maybe too noisy!! Authentic food!! Tastefully prepared!
I would have loved Iranian music!
My husband and I went for his birthday dinner. Our server took time to explain the menu and make suggestions. We chose the rack of lamb and sea bass. Both were AMAZING. we were extremely happy with our choices.
Restaurant was very busy and noise level was high. Could be hard to carry on normal conversation with a larger group.
Great meal overall, will go again.
Always wonderful the salmon is spectacular as well as the coffee.
Thoroughly enjoyed the spinach salad, shrimp and lamb kabobs with shirin, and dessert! Mitch provided excellent service as always! Thank you for a lovely anniversary dinner!❤️
Good food, good service, but let down by poor management. I had to wait 25 minutes for my 'reservation'. Although they had lots of excuses for why I had to wait, they never came up with the right excuse: simply that they failed because they don't know how to run a restaurant when it's busy.
I've dined at restaurants far busier than Rumi's Kitchen and never had to wait so long for a reserved table. Once seated, service and food was excellent, but I'd recommend avoiding this restaurant at peak times as they have problems managing large amounts of customers and having a reservation makes little difference.
Good meal very busy and quite noisy. Will come back smoked eggplant hummus is worth the trip alone
