Rumi's Kitchen - Sandy Springs
Rumi’s Kitchen - Sandy Springs draws influence from the culinary mother of the Middle East, Persia, which spanned from the banks of the Nile River in the west to the mountains of Northern India in the east, and from the shores of the Caspian Sea in the north to the deserts of Arabia in the south of the Persian Gulf.

One word... Outstanding! This was my first time visiting Rumi's Kitchen and it did NOT disappoint! My cousin and I went to celebrate her birthday and I'm so glad we did! It had an energetic vibe and a cool and quaint patio - which is where we were seated. Before being seated however, we saw runners carrying plates full of the most amazing-looking dishes with enormous portion-sizes and the aromas were delightful! We had a great waiter, Phoenix, who was really accommodating and provided great service. I was a little bummed with the limited selection of vegan options, but considering it's not a vegan restaurant that's okay. They have a small parking lot so expect to wait a bit to turn in on a Friday or Saturday night and bring some cash to tip their valet. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back with my Hubby!
As a person married to a Persian woman (a great cook, to boot), my standards for Persian food are a bit high. Rumi's Kitchen easily meets that bar.
Food is good as ever, but don’t plan to get anything cooked to order when restaurant is busy. Medium rare is not in their wheelhouse. Great place for power dinner—not for intimate conversation. Wines are overpriced by 50 percent but interesting.
Rumi is always excellent. One of my favorite places in Atlanta. The flavor profile of the food is the so creative and authentic. I’m a huge fan always bringing guests. Open more locations. A real first rate classy restaurant.
had reservation but had an extended wait at bar
service was good
food was great
Great food but very hard to hear server and restaurant was loud and we felt rushed at the end of our meal.
My favorite place for personal or work dinners. They continue to make the guests feel special and serve consistently great food
Food was incredible, our server Ivy was impeccable!
Charles was the best! Understanding yet elephant. Thank you Charles for a great experience!
Service from the host was awful
Super yummy and portions large enough to share
Great food and service
We had a wonderful anniversary experience at Rumi's. Our server was awesome and the food was amazing.
This was an outing for my son‘s 29th birthday party and it was terrific! Our waitress was above and beyond in providing quality customer service. We had a really good time
The Roasted Salmon
saffron salmon fillet,
Adas lentil & raisin rice was delicious...
Outstanding food and service. Had no problems with valet. Sat outside on the covered patio.
Great food and wonderful restaurant
Unfortunately, Rumis Kitchen was once my favourite place to go, but in the last few years the quality of the food has definitely suffered. From the outset, there was poor organization and service. The valet were discombobulated. It took them 45 minutes to seat us for our 8:15 reservation. The Lamb was mediocre and dry at best with the tomato undercooked. The only good dish that hasnt changed is the badenjoon starter. The valet lost the keys for another guest and had a 10 party queue waiting in the rain for them to finally let the keys free for guests to get their cars themselves.
Had a wonderful meal here. Service was great. Will be back again!
Valet was a logistical disaster.
Excellent good. Server was fantastic.
We had a lovely birthday celebration on the patio. Marcus was our server and he was very accommodating, attentive, and helpful with dietary restrictions, and knowledgeable about the menu. He knew exactly what dessert we could have too, and it was exquisite! We will definitely be back soon!
The food is amazing and food service. I miss the meatball appetizer. Not sure why that not regularly in the menu.
A great place to enjoy dinner with some old friends. The food and service were outstanding.
Never disappoints. It is loud though. I tried something new it was delicious.
Service was excellent. Each item was absolutely delicious and very eye-catching. Complementary baklava with ice cream for a birthday dessert
The food was wonderful and the staff very attentive with smiling faces through out the dinning area.
Good spot. Long time Atlanta favorite. Good good.
Dinner was fine. Car that was valeted at Rumi’s was taken to some off site lot and was BOOTED ! Had to wait for someone to tell me why my car had not been brought to us. Then had to wait while someone paid to have the boot removed. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Will NEVER go there again.
I entrusted my car to them and they parked it somewhere where it was booted.
Appetizer sampler did the trick.
Amir, our server, was best in class. Would ask for him again next time we make a reservation!
Everything was great. Our party of 4 really enjoyed the experience and food. The salmon humus appetizer and the Shish Kabob were outstanding. Service was great. Highly recommend Rumi’s.
Great location and food !
Getting seated was the only challenge. Didn’t get seated for 35-40 minutes after our reservation time. Food was amazing. Service was amazing.
Love Runi’s! Great service, amazing food and a family favorite for special occasions!
Sat in front room. Highly recommend this if you want a place to talk. Main room is very loud.
It’s a terrific atmosphere. Appetizers are the best.
Great food, great service.
Great food with wonderful service and ambiance make you want to return soon
It was our 30th Wedding Anniversary and our first time dining indoors since the pandemic (we hadn’t been to a restaurant at all for the past 20 months). We were a little skeptical even though we were all fully vaccinated so we asked for a distanced table and were very happy with the table allocated to us. The Restaurant was buzzing with activity and the ambiance was classy, elegant, stylish and friendly too. The food was excellent and the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. The beverage menu is extensive with a great selection of wines and cocktails too. The complimentary Starters were fresh and refreshing, the Main Courses were flavorful, cooked to perfection, ample portion sizes and we even had doggie bags to take home. The desserts were perfect, not too sweet and with a delicate Persian flavour. Overall, it was a great dining experience and an enjoyable evening out. I can highly recommend Rumi’s Kitchen to anyone for a special occasion or even just a nice, quiet evening out.
