Rumi's Kitchen - Sandy Springs
Rumi’s Kitchen - Sandy Springs draws influence from the culinary mother of the Middle East, Persia, which spanned from the banks of the Nile River in the west to the mountains of Northern India in the east, and from the shores of the Caspian Sea in the north to the deserts of Arabia in the south of the Persian Gulf.

Wonderful service and fantastic food
We love this restaurant. The parking is a bit of a hassle, simply because I don't like valet parking, but everything else is excellent. The food and service are at the top of the game. We love the hummus platter, all of the kebobs, and especially the Persian tea.
I have heard fantastic things about Rumi’s and was looking forward to eating there immensely. The ambience was great and the bar was lovely. The waitstaff was formerly and helpful and warm.
I was a little disappointed in the food. I was excited to try the Persian vegetable stew - but it was heavy on tomatoes and okra and light on lentils. I guess I just didn’t like it that much. Found it a little boring.
I tasted my companions chicken koonideh and while better than my veg stew, it was also underwhelming.
Next time I will try the lamb - I love lamb but am attempting to eat less meat so opted for the vegetarian choice. To my detriment.
I’ve been here many times, random days of the week, for lunch and dinner. Regardless of day or time, Rumi’s is generally a very noisy and well attended place - so heed my advice and always make reservations! Additionally, Rumi’s can be drafty so I suggest you bring a wrap if you’re inclined to get cold. Otherwise, you can find no better Persian meal in the metro!
Consistent quality and value for money. Highly recommended.
Todo excelente! Nos trajeron una entrada por error y no la cobraron
Our food was delicious. It did take about 20 minutes to get our bar drinks once ordered which set everything back as far as timing. We were trying to get to an 8 pm show and with the craziness on a friday night getting our car from the valet....we were quite late.
Rumi's is always a 10+. Great vibe and food. And always packed too. Can't wait for their Colony Square location to open.
Great food & service!
Food is always delicious and it was no different on this visit. Service was good [new server]. My guest loved his second visit.
Consistently an awesome experience at Rumi’s. The cuisine, the service, hospitality, and ambiance are second to none. Taylor, our server on this most recent visit, was an ace!
The server was in a hurry and didn’t let us enjoy our time together the four of us She came straight (the server) to my partner and gave him the bill. Omg. She is supposed to wait till one of us request the Bill to pay. 2: why in the world the guy tall one apparently new has to ask me And my friend as well that Brought her car IF WE HAD ALREADY PAID for the parking ????? I have never had that happened before there. OBVIOUSLY when we gave the parking ticket we also gave them the cash for the parking. So why did the bother valet guy asked if we paid or we didn’t ??? That very low in my opinion. We are business people we always pay and tip them. Hopefully this doesn’t happen.again
The salmon was incredible.
Amazing Persian cuisine. Personally, the ice cream sandwich is the thing to get for sure!
Absolutely amazing food service and experience. Love this restaurant it is absolutely the best in town !
Our reservation was at 6:30 PM, so it was very surprising that 2 feature menu items were already sold out. (Poor planning?) However, our server Brittany was superb. Despite the fact my birthday was a week ago, she surprised us with a candle lit dessert! Overall, an enjoyable evening. Boy, was this joint packed with diners!
The food was good. It was extremely loud. Worst part is they charged our credit card TWICE!
Outstanding food - generous portions and unhurried dining. Highly recommend!
Food was flavorful but both the salmon and the shrimp were overcooked and dry. I ordered the salmon as recommended. Otherwise, it's a good restaurant and my previous experiences suggest I will go back at some point.
I used to love coming to Rumi’s, and the food is still fantastic, however the service was not. It was very slow, disorganized, and we were even served a piece of pita with a rock in it. When we asked our waiter about it, he didn’t take it seriously and came back with “it’s just a piece from the oven”, which to me, is still something to be concerned about. We had to ask numerous times for extra bread when other tables around us got served promptly. It was just a disappointing experience to have on our Valentine’s Day weekend.
Crowded VD experience but great atmosphere and food / 5 course meal was perfect!
food was great but despite having a reservation they made us wait 40 minutes after our reservation time. Horrible service. Waiters and waitresses even complaining about how ridiculous the management was that night.
It was Valentines Day, so I expected some delay, we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. It was over crowded, loud and the flow was not well managed.
Valentines~ this is our favorite restaurant. I’ve been coming to Rumi’s for many years. I knew it would be crowded but we waited 40 min for our seats (even with a reservation). The price fix menu was good... they ran out of crispy potatoes by 7:30. (Sad face) however, the food was good. Waitress was really good.
We dined on Valentines Day, and it was great!
Let me start by saying I love Rumi’s, and have been dozens of times in the last few years. This experience, however, was terrible. Table was ready 45 mins after the reservation time, they put us in the corner of the outside area where it was freezing cold, price fixe menu where they ran out of one of the items on the list (where there was only two options for that course), and the waiter didn’t really care to provide good and timely service.
Nicole M. was the best server. She took great care of us and made our evening special.
Wonderful special menu for Valentine’s Day.
Always perfect at Rumi’s
My Husband and I went for Valentine’s Day during lunch , we are grateful that we made reservations because it was a full house this was his first time . He loved it it asked to go back for breakfast the next day I had to unfortunately advise they were not open for breakfast hours 🤣 we raved to friends about it and they told us they have been frequenting the Alpharetta location !! We are all looking forward to the Midtown opening !
The food is consistently delicious the service is top notch and the ambiance is romantic and casual at the same time !
P.S. get the wings !
Great food. Great service. Sea Bass to die for as usual. One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta.
It's a great space with delicious food, and the waitstaff does a great job of explaining the menu.
Be aware that parking is limited and it's valet only in their parking lot. They take cash only!
Awesome and amazing food
We had a wonderful server who took good care of us. She made delicious recommendations and we all enjoyed the experience.
I met my cousin for a long overdue girls lunch and Rumi’s kitchen did not disappoint! We had fantastic hummus with amazing naan-bread That had just come out of a brick oven. The kebabs were amazing (we got both Lamb and beef tenderloin). However, Hands-down, the best food we had was the Seabass! Can’t wait to go back!
Overall great experience
The food was absolutely delicious. We took clients for a pre closing dinner and they enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Rumi’s is so consistently good that it is a treat to entertain new friends and introduce them to the cuisine. The clientele is a fabulous melting pot of ages and colors. Good food brings everyone together.
Our waiter,Z, was patient and nice. I would definitely go back!
