Went there for the first time to celebrate my birthday. Reviews online were not favorable but left an open mind and I’m glad I did. We had Selena. She was fabulous and made it a great experience. Food was phenomenal. Had a couple Dungeness Crab pots with some potatoes and the old bay biscuits. Great service great food and can’t wait to get back again!!
Food was very greasy
First off I wanted King Crab.. They were out?? This is a sea food place with many King crab dinners ?? how could you be out.. snow crab were small and very soft...well over cooked.. Not a good experience at all!!!
Food was very very good! Service was excellent. No long wait!
The price and the food did not add up no bang or good portion for the price compared to other in ac
A Fathers Day Dinner With my Husband...The Atmosphere was Romantic and the Food and Dinks were Great...We were Stuffed ...We Didn’t Have Room for Dessert Great Portion of Food
Waiter was terrible. Manager was worse. Unavailable items not communicated . Charged for the wrong wine. Any decent restaurant would have comped my meal. All I got was a measly king crab leg
My experience was not all that great at Rum point the crab legs was overcooked and the quality of the seafood was poor. I personally wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Food was acceptable. Rib Eye was good. I had the Onion ring salad….it was a lot onion rings with the smallest bit of salad. It tasted great, but I would have liked a nice portion of the salad with 4 or 5 onion rings on top. We had a variety of crabs that were mediocre. $600 for 5 of us with cocktails and tip.
Waiter was good. Food was horrible.
2 of us had the fried flounder platter with shrimp
Breading was flat and mushy.. not crispy was awful.
1 person got the Big Louie salad presentation good salad was just ok nothing to rave about.
Unless u sit in front room overlooking the water the place is
Depressing. Prices are not worth it.
Would never go back. We eat out a lot and know good food
Would not recommend..
A great new, more affordable option for Harrah’s AC. Still in its early days, some operational elements are still being worked out but the staff are earnest and pleasant and the prices are better than many of the hotel’s more higher end eateries. Had clams, onion rings and a lobster roll for dinner at the bar. Huge pieces of lobster in the roll but, despite having grill marks, the roll itself wasn’t warm. It’s the kind of thing that is easy to fix going forward.
Everything was great the only thing I could think of is No draft beer and Idouble ordered a side dish that came with the meal
May have been the worst snow crab dinner I ever had. Crab legs were the width of a pencil for the most part with minimal crab inside, if you could get it out. Had read someone else’s review stating the same thing but thought that couldn’t be true, they must be exaggerating, unfortunately it is true. My wife had a burger and said that was good but that shouldn’t be the star of a crab house. Not planning on going again.
Overall the food was really good except my husband’s Lobster which was very chewy…overcooked?? My crab meal was very good with lots of food. Thank goodness my husband was there to eat what I couldn’t.
Our waitress, Idylis, was EXCELLENT. VERY ATTENTIVE AND A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR. We would definitely return on our next trip.
Excellent food and service. We were looking forward to King Crab but they were out. However our meals were delicious and server Hiram and the staff were attentive and courteous. They did not rush us though it was a busy night. We will definitely return!
I had the pleasure of being waited on by celina! Food was very good and Celina was very polite and service was great! ! I can’t wait to go back!
First time at Rum Point Crab House. We were so excited to try since it’s new and we are seafood lovers. :)
The food was okay, we ordered the crab legs, king crab legs, raw platter, corn, crab dip and Cape May fish fry. To be honest, we did not enjoy the cold shrimps in the raw platter because the shrimps were a bit soggy and the shrimps didn’t taste good with old bay seasoning being cold? The cape may was, unfortunately not good at all. The breading on the fish was falling apart and it was simply soggy. Other than that, we were had a wonderful server, Jose K. He was very kind, friendly, informative and professional. He made our dining experience memorable because he was attentive and made sure we had enough napkins, wet naps, drinks, etc. As for thr drinks, we had the old fashioned, red sangria and their house mojitos. Definitely need to tweak a bit on the old fashioned and red sangria but their four point mojitos were on point! Lastly, it was nice to go on a Sunday afternoon, no wait and tons of space for social distancing. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality, Jose!
Food was good. I only had Manhattan clam chowder.
I dont understand why when I reserved my spot that it would allow a 1035 PM seating, when resturant closes at 11
The view was spectacular—- but I hated the carpet in the restaurant....food was good....they were out of draft beer and didn’t have blue crabs .....🥺
Nothing great. Just ok
Second visit to this restaurant and overall food is great. Service was way better this time than our previous visit. Will visit again in the future.
I had a lobster roll sandwich, the bread was hard and cold. They took very long to serve us. The waiter brought the wrong food to the table. He put it down, then brought the same food to the next table. I wouldn’t want the food after it was put in front of someone else. I had an order of crab legs. The butter was dumped into the bottom of the basket. Very oily. They were very thin legs with hardly no crab in them. Onion stacks was just really onion rings. They actually took them off the bill, due to bringing the wrong food to the table. I think it is over priced, for the amount of food. A friend had a seafood pot, the pot was really like a low basket. When I think of a pot, I think of a deep one. That cost $65. There should of been bread on the table, because we had to wait so long. The place wasn’t really crowded either.
The service made us nervous after the reviews. It started out slow and the bar was not stocked to accommodate many of our requests, but dinner was overall, good.
1, the food was OK, but it wasn't anything special for those prices, $8 for corn on the cob that was close to field corn. 2, sat at a wobbly table,, 3, the noise level was off the charts, both from the corny music that was piped in and played way too loud to the Lousy music coming from the venue outside. wife and I couldn't hold a conversation.
closing, I don't expect to rush back, I can spend half the dough and have a much nicer meal, and experience in a lot of other casino restaurants. My prediction, this place will flounder.
PS> the staff was nice
Food and service was great. Hiram was excellent. The menu was a little pricy.
The food was absolutely delicious. My table ordered the Maine Lobster Roll, the Atlantic City Inlet, and the Cape May Fish Fry. The flounder was so tender it melted my mouth! The calms were fried to perfection, not chewy at all. The lobster roll looked like it could feed two people, and the seafood in the Atlantic City Inlet was well seasoned, not with excessive old bay either.... Definitely try their signature drink, the Rum Point Punch. Our service Dominique was not very attentive. We had to ask for glasses with our pitcher of Punch and utensils for our entrees. She was the only downside of the evening. Yes , I did still tip, only because I how much tips are relied upon in the food industry, however, it was by far much less than I would have normally left on a bill of that amount. (by 50%) I would still commend this restaurant for the food and the ambiance (business casual.) If by chance you should get Dominique as a server, run!! lol
It was a great experience. Our waitress was Dominique. She was pleasant and quick. The food was delicious we had a relaxing enjoyable dinner. Crab was very meaty.
Everything was very good. Clams on half shell were excellent but expensive. I didn’t have the oysters but they were also pricey. The bar is the same as the previous place and could use an upgrade. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Overall we’d go back.
Food was tasty but I think they should put either biscuits and or bread and butter prior to serving main meal. Even chips with the drinks would be a nice touch
The food was not fresh. Ordered summer flounder, very fishy and definitely not flounder. Snow crab legs were very skinny with very little meat in them and upper part where legs are connected was brown and questionable, did not attempt to eat. The crab legs looked like they were hold overs from the buffet before the pandemic. Ordered an ear of corn as a side...$8..and was definitely frozen, very mealy tasting. The best part of the meal was the east coast crab dip we got as an appetizer.
Long wait even after making reservations not enough food each meal. However really nice and clean.
Starting off from the host, absolute worst service possible. We were told no availability but went on open table and had multiple times available. Book a time on there and then when we went back for our time slot the hostess skip over us multiple times and sat later times. Went to get the manager and she was just as horrible as the hostess. Finally got to sit down to eat and the food was probably one of the worst for the amount you pay for. We ordered the “for the table” raw plate, with the exception of the shrimp and oysters, the crab leg and lobster tail were horrible. Poorly cooked and presented. We also order cheddar bay biscuits, this had to be the worst biscuits anyone has ever made. They were cold and tasted like cardboard. The table next to us even agreed that it was horrible. Stay clear far away from this place, from the hostess to manager to chef, get rid of them and start fresh.
Not worth the hype...over priced casino seafood meals...
Great food and great view!! One of the more affordable nice restaurants in the casino!! Would definitely go again!
The salmon was excellent , but the asparagus was old and tough and the calamari was frozen and right out of the freezer section at the store. Over done and tough and dry. other than the potatoes being under done not a good experience, sad to say
Was excellent except for the biscuits we had to send them back
Our third visit to Rum Point was a slight disappointment. But let me start with the positives: My Big Louis salad was terrific (if you go, you must try it). My husband again enjoyed his calamari + lobster appetizer. He loved the sauce it is in. Now for a little disappointment. My lobster tail was steamed (I neglected to ask for it broiled) so it seemed a bit rubbery to me. My husband did not care for his crabcake. But to the rescue was our server LAUREN who provided us with a delicious desert -- strawberry shortcake. This will not deter future visits. The price point is more than fair. ENJOY!!!
Tried to pull off a high class restaurant but really was mediocre seafood
Everything was good service was great will come again
1. Mixup in food
2. While eating appetizers they brought dinner rushing us to eat our appetizer. Tables are to small for appetizers, drinks, and dinner
3. We ordered flounder. It wasn’t cooked. It was pure nasty.
Our waitress was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Very professional
