So good, great vibes. Get the ribs and the kambucha
Overpriced. Made you make a reservation and were very strict about the reservation yet there were lots of empty tables. Patio overlooks concrete buildings and pool area which isn’t very picturesque. Food was not worth the price. Service was subpar.
Rules andRegs is an awesome lounge type bar! We love the ambiance and patio view of the Austin skyline.
We always receive the best, most attentive service. It is becoming a regular evening out for us on Fridays!!
Food took an hour to get to us. Super slow service. Had to get up multiple times to ask for things because our waiting person did not come and check on us. We asked for coffee and it arrived cold
I Proposed and Took Engagement Photos here. I’m an advocate for this place. The managers and staff were more than helpful and accommodating.
The food was terrible, literally stale chips from a bag. The drinks were watered down.. It was pretty empty m, but I can see why now. Also people can smoke cigarettes anywhere so you just smelt that!
We were there for Pride and it was awesome. It was Drag Queen bingo and it was so much fun!!!
The atmosphere was fantastic and everyone had a great time.
Beautiful space and the food and drinks were great too!!! 10/10
Service was awful. The host was not friendly and it took forebe
the waiter took about 10 minutes to even greet us and the drinks were overpriced
Little on the pricey side, but it’s a hotel bar, so we expected that. The guac was delicious. Cocktails were not worth the cost, but the beer was tasty. ,
Eh drinks, tacky atmosphere. Didn’t try the food, was uncomfortable.
Very cool spot. Great views and servers were amazing. Would definitely come again!
This place is not much more than a poolside bar. Offering “tapas” is misleading as the selection is limited and the items are not great in either presentation or flavor.
We sat outside on the overlook but we didn’t understand that it was also the smoking section. Our table was dirty and never once did anyone come to try to clean it. The food was pretty good though and the view was great. Very expensive for a place with a lack of luxurious service.
Service was awful. We had to get up and ask for what we needed multiple times. They were out of cream for coffee and anything but watermelon for the fruit plate. Food was good but the experience was awful. We took guests there on purpose since we had a great experience in the past but we were embarrassed this time. Won’t go back.
The Manager was awesome - our first round of drinks were horrible )
Good views our server was very helpful
The rooftop space is beautiful. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and fast. Had the gem salad with mahi mahi and the mahi mahi tacos. The salad was delicious and very generously portioned. Tacos were very good but the fish+green goddess from the salad was even better. Overall a great afternoon.
Great spot. Fantastic view. Great food. Amazing service. Just truly a special place.
The food was really expensive but quality did not match. Very bland, tasteless food not worth the steep prices. We went to celebrate mother's day and ended up spending $400 and left very dissatisfied
I booked this being an out of towner, assuming The Fairmont would be the best option for a Mother’s Day Brunch. The name of this place is confusing. It’s a Mexican menu. The table they sat us in was a cocktail table and they wouldn’t move us. Food was pretty good but we weren’t comfortable with the low tables.
Great View, pretty restaurant decor, nice staff, food decent, comfortable patio style seating outdoors, free mimosa for Mothers Day, and also received a free pair of earrings from Kendra Scott
Slow to greet and slow service overall, outdoor table is a coffee table so harder to eat a meal, very windy on the corner...chips, hair or anything loose will blow away. Prices are high for what you get. I had a mimosa and it wasn't very good (but it was free for Moms!) 5 ppl was about $150 with 1 appetizer & 2 drinks. Meals are small but I was full. My husband was not happy.
Great wait staff and ambiance but a little too windy that day! Maybe have ponytail holders available for future rooftop diners?
I just proposed here on 5/8. Tory and team were very helpful and accommodating. View is amazing as well. A night to remember. Would definitely recommend this place.
cinco de drinko
Food was way above par for a hotel bar/restaurant. Views were spectacular.
They charged us for extra chips.
Not worth the hype although has a beautiful view
Dull, dated feel. Very average food. Nice wait staff but not so nice host.
Definitely paying for the atmosphere. The drinks and food took way too long to be delivered. Then BYO Bloody Mary was so over priced. All you get is a slice of lime and one olive. The food was tasty and came out hot. We had to ask for chips several times before getting them. Overall, don't recommend and I won't be returning to the Fairmont.
Had to give a negative review but this was really disappointing. We made a reservation for what I thought was outdoor dining for brunch and got there only to be told that there’s nothing out outdoors available. So it was late and we decided just sit inside. It really wasn’t even all that busy but the service is pretty awful. Just getting a refill on chips took 20 minutes or so. Waiter was very friendly and apologetic but I think they’re obviously super short staffed or something.
Eat outside and enjoy the amazing city views. Brunch is great. Cocktails rock.
Not good service and food
Reserved a table for outside and there were no tables outside (just lounge chairs and a coffee table). Decided to just eat inside as we were too late to move our party to another restaurant. Food was really average, but not disgusting. Asked for a cappuccino and one was regular and one had some kind of sweetener in it. The waitress said "that’s the way it tastes here" when obviously we had two and knew it wasn’t accurate. She did make amends and brought us a new one. Ordered multiple items that came with chips and were given 2 small cereal bowls full of chips. They did bring one more bowl but we had 4 items that were to come with chips.
I'd like to say they were busy, but they were not. We arrived at our scheduled time and they still had not opened their doors. We made the reservation the day before, and I see why it was so easy to get a reservation. To get out we had to use the elevator which states only 4 in at a time. EVERY SINGLE elevator had 4 plus in it so it took us about 10 minutes to leave. I really hate to leave a negative review, but I just hope I can help folks from making the same mistake and wasting their time. Maybe the restaurant can learn and do better, but I just didn't get the sense that anyone cared.
This is a bar. It is not a tapas place.
Fun and pretty view
Cocktails were disappointing, appetizers weren’t very good and expensive. Salsa didn’t taste like anything.
Service was really slow, but the ambience was amazing
Service was terrible. Waited 25 min for one drink. And appetizers came out not all at once.
