Rugova serves salads, seafood and Italian classics in cozy settings that include an outdoor summer patio and a bar. Get your appetite rolling with some pan-fried mozzarella and then treat yourself to some delicious Ravioli Casalinga or Tuna Tatare. The menu also offers options for landlubbers with entrees composed around veal, chicken and beef. Menu highlights include the veal Rugova, the chicken parmigiana and the filet mignon. To complement its meals, the restaurant offers a fine wine selection.
An ideal pick for a casual dining experience, Rugova features multiple rooms that can be adapted to private events. Rugova is open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Sunday. The bar stays open until 2 a.m. every day except for Sunday when it closes an hour earlier.
Rugova is a wonderful place to convene with friends for a drink and dinner. The service is always outstanding as is the food.
I have never had a bad experience at Rugova. Food is phenomenal and the happy hour is one of the best in New Jersey.
They do it right. Consistently fine dining or half price happy hour at the bar.
Incredible high quality food and service! Hate to write this review because it will be harder to get a table. But they deserve it!!
The people we brought with us felt only one thing was missing - they like their food served on warm plates. Maybe, if it’s not too difficult to coordinate, that might be an accommodation you can adapt.
This restaurant is consistent! Every time we have dinner the food is fantastic!
Excellent food and service....But noise level heightened once the keyboard player began performing...Too small a space for that much music (very good music, by the way) Had to shout to be heard by others at our table.
Excellent restaurant. I have never had a bad meal here. Food is always on the mark. Best Happy Hour in New Jersey. Staff is great. I'll be back soon.
We love it here and the food is always spot on!!
Everything was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The chocolate mousse cake was amazing. Will be going back again.
All good! Service and food were excellent. Thought we would be rushed but not so. A definite repeat place for me!
Very nice atmosphere and delicious food.
Food was good. However, the service was terrible. There was only 2 waiters and 1 busboy working the entire restaurant including the bar. They said several of the staff didn't show up to work. The 3 tried hard but could never catch up
When we got there they asked if we had a reservation with open table .. when I said yes they said we would have to wait ...
I love this restaurant. Cozy and the staff is wonderful. Food is terrific. I had the halibut and it was excellent.
This was my first trip to this restaurant, and I will DEFINITELY go again. The food was excellent - much better than most Italian places. The staff was friendly and upbeat, and the ambiance was quiet enough to hold a conversation. As far as I'm concerned, it's a great "find"!
Love this restaurant. Small, cozy and the food is excellent. Service is great. I had the branzino - would love to get the receipe for the bronzino - not that I would make it at home but I would use it for other things when I cook.
Second time at Rugova. Will definitely return.
Excellence from greeting to depature
Appetizer to dessert incredible experience
Rugova is a great place to meet friends and family for drinks, a quick bite, or a full meal. The food is always prepared in an excellent manner and is authentic Italian. You cannot beat their Sunday Sauce!!!!!
Pretty average food at this location, stopped in at random not expecting much. Nice servers and good enough food
The free appetizer with cheese and olives was all dried out and looked like it was sitting out for hours. the osso boco wasn't half as good as the waiter said it would be. Gravy was very bland.
I absolutely love this restaurant. In the beginning I was upset that they ran out of martini glasses, but they rectified that. The food, service and ambience is great. Its cozy as there are not too many tables. The staff is wonderful. I'm sure there are not too many people that know about this restaurant and perhaps that better for me.
Great food and service.
The good was very good. Portion sizes were great.
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The black fettuccine was out of this world, and incredibly fresh. Although it’s small, it’s defintiely worth it, and not too expensive. Would definitely recommend for date night!
The staff was friendly, and very attentive.
The food was good, with excellent presentation.
My wife said that the cosmopolitan was delicious.
The bill was very reasonable.
This restaurant is cozy, warm and inviting. The staff was attentive and polite. The food was wonderful! Nice selections from appetizers thru desert. Can't wait to go again!!!
Enjoyed cocktails and food at the cozy bar. Great service. Will be back
Enjoyed every bite, delicious. Wait staff friendly and helpful. Immediately discussed returning aging and bringing friends. About $50 per head.
The food was excellent and service but the wine list is limited and noise is too loud.
Good food in an average looking restaurant. Noise from bar can be a problem at times, no getting away from it.
very good food and service. We all enjoyed what was ordered very much; have been
there several times lately and never disappointed.
Everything was delicious! My husband had Dover sole, his favorite. It was reasonably priced and a large portion prepared exactly how he likes. Two others had branzino and felt the same way. The service was excellent and we were not rushed. We will definitely return!
Attentive service. Something for everyone on the menu. Menu prices in line with other similar restaurants in the area. Will return to take advantage of their prix fixed dinner special. A few steps down to access bar and a step or two up to access dining area.
Food and waitstaff were great. The bronzini and veal dishes we had were excellent. We will be back.
This is the second time at Rugova. Their food is excellent. Halibut, Pasta w/short rib ragu, veal Milanese, and the Branzino. Service was spot on. My one and only complaint are the martini glasses. They seem to run out of them - the restaurant on Saturday was not that crowded. I was smart enough to bring an extra martini glass with me that night. Ashley the bartender was great when I brought my own glass. Get it together - the martini glass is like the Holy Grail. Lol. Will be back and will make sure I bring my own just in case.
Although I really did enjoy this restaurant, I found a few things I didn't like. It seems they were short on staff. Waited for waiter to come an offer us drinks. you know how long a waiter or waitress should approach you for cocktails. This was one of those waits were I started to get impatient. My philosophy always is get them a drink first and you can then go about your business. The gentleman that seated us was apparently the Host. He was also busy bringing out food, thus the absence of wait staff. The next thing that bothered me was I noticed another table being served their martinis in a wine glass - in my world an absolute no-no. I did, however convince the waiter to find one for me, which he obliged happily. Point in his favor. They had a piano player who played great music but was one speaker short of playing Madison Square Garden (two huge speakers for such a small room). Could have toned it down a bit. So glad I was not seated in the first room. Although this all seems negative, it is really not - the FOOD was excellent and presented well. I definitely would go back hoping that this was just an off night for them. My husband and I both had the halibut - EXCELLENT. We will be back. Our waiter was wonderful. Gino would be proud about the great food.
