The space is lovely, the blue booths really pop. The $65/person two course pre fixe dinner selections we had were all very good, with multiple layers of flavor and texture. I upgraded to the $79 three course option for dessert and was disappointed, not worth the cost and 30 minute wait time. Service was good, like all of the Mathew’s venues.

Food was excellent. Service was amazing. However, even with the a la carte menu, vegetables were scarce. Ordered chicken stuffed with walnuts which was amazing. It came with farro, supposedly. Was so insignificant on the plate, one had to wonder. Seemed to be a bizarre, Americanized twist on French food.

My wife and I celebrated our 9-year anniversary together at a restaurant we love. We have celebrated many occasions together with Rue and our recent experience only show that Rue is consistent in its service and quality of food. We look forward to celebrating more occasions with Rue in the future!

Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed the delicious food. The service was attentive without being intrusive. This is a special occasion restaurant for us because the prices are higher than what we usually spend. The presentations are beautiful, but the servings are more modest than most places. For the smaller portion size it seems like they could lower their prices a bit.

Go for the early dinner time and go for the 5 course experience on Friday or Saturday. You will not be disappointed. I’m a picky eater but I ate everything because it was so delicious. Will certainly return again.

This is our 3rd time to Rue Saint Marc and the food is always above and beyond the standard they set. We did the 5 course tasting menu and from appetizers to dessert everything was amazing! They even accommodated a rare allergy for me with no fuss. They have a wide variety of drink options and a wine pairing to go with the tasting menu if you so choose. We will certainly be back.

Coming from Texas, via California our first mission after moving to the beach was to find superb food. Not good food or OK food, but exceptional food. Bottom line there is none except Rue Saint-Marc and maybe 2 other restaurants. It is a tragic reality of Jacksonville that there are so few choices like Rue and it may be the reason we will move south. The food sourcing and prep at Rue are as good as any restaurant I've experienced anywhere. The care given to the sourcing is so important and then the care and love that must go into the handling and preparation of the food is equally important. There is no freezing, no slinging, only respect for the ingredients throughout the process to final presentation in front of the guest. Every detail is attended to. The wait staff is knowledgable and professional and there is not a TV in sight. Also the play list of music has been carefully selected to compliment the experience rather than detract from it. This is a place to appreciate food and drink while at. the same time enhancing the experience of being there with whomever you are there with. It's almost like a meditation because nothing detracts from being there and enjoying the moment, the food, the drink, and consequently the people who are sharing the experience with you.

excellent service and grossly overpriced, "mayport" shrimp bland and overcooked, hamachi just okay and garnish was overkill, chicken was good but nothing special for 32. for a less than half breast with cartilage, Rue cocktail was most excellent.

I joke with my husband that this restaurant needs to be renamed ruined, because it has ruined our dining experiences at so many other places. This is the the new standard we wistfully hope for when we got out anywhere else. From the service to the quality of the food, this is one of the best places in Jacksonville to enjoy an incredible meal. Just beware, it may ruin other experiences for you in the future =)

Popped into Rue Saint Marc for a midweek bite. I'd been wanting to try the French comfort food for some time. I had the shrimp appetizer and loved it. Enough so that I indulged with the caramelized banana dessert. The flavors were distinct. Exceptional. Service could not have been better. Highly recommend.

The Rue Experience with wine pairings was fantastic. The only reason for dropping a star was the timing of the food. Our reservation was for 6 people at 630. The first course came out at 730, and we were there until 10 pm. We were enjoying the company, but over 3 hrs for dinner is a bit long. I think some guidance on the timing of the experience on the website may help with expectations.
