Rue Saint-Marc is a modern French Bistro serving French inspired cuisine in the San Marco neighborhood. We have an extensive cocktail program and a unique wine and craft beer list.     excellent service and grossly overpriced, "mayport" shrimp bland and overcooked, hamachi just okay and garnish was overkill, chicken was good but nothing special for 32. for a less than half breast with cartilage, Rue cocktail was most excellent.

    Lovely evening enjoying the pre-fixe dining option. Great suggestions by our server Jordan and the food was fabulous! Ventured out of the comfort zone and had the octopus for the first course…was pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend!

    I joke with my husband that this restaurant needs to be renamed ruined, because it has ruined our dining experiences at so many other places. This is the the new standard we wistfully hope for when we got out anywhere else. From the service to the quality of the food, this is one of the best places in Jacksonville to enjoy an incredible meal. Just beware, it may ruin other experiences for you in the future =)

    Popped into Rue Saint Marc for a midweek bite. I'd been wanting to try the French comfort food for some time. I had the shrimp appetizer and loved it. Enough so that I indulged with the caramelized banana dessert. The flavors were distinct. Exceptional. Service could not have been better. Highly recommend.

    Food was outstanding! We were seated right away, had plenty of time to enjoy a cocktail before the chefs tasting, and had amazing service throughout the meal. Everything was perfect!

    The Rue Experience with wine pairings was fantastic. The only reason for dropping a star was the timing of the food. Our reservation was for 6 people at 630. The first course came out at 730, and we were there until 10 pm. We were enjoying the company, but over 3 hrs for dinner is a bit long. I think some guidance on the timing of the experience on the website may help with expectations.

    Great atmosphere, some of the best food we have had in Jax...well worth the drive to San marco, dealing with the square and enjoying the ala cart menu choices. The Peach Charlotte was spectacular yall....enjoy.

    Our first encounter with anyone was Viktor and he was an absolute gem of a person. My wife and I were able to sit at the bar and chat with him and have a couple drinks before our reservation at 6. Miriam was our primary waitress (we were constantly served by 5 or 6 people) and she also was fantastic and very attentive. When decided on a second drink I asked for Viktor to make me his favorite that he thought I would like and he brought it to me himself, explaining to me what it was which was the Vieux Carré and gave his reasoning as to why I would like it which he was spot on with. We initially came for the prefix menu as it was our first time but ended up getting the full Rue experience instead and did not regret it at all. Wonderful food, wonderful drinks, wonderful staff, an overall wonderful experience and will come again even if just for drinks.
