One of our favorite places to go for a casual meal in NYC! The food is always excellent and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoy sitting outside or in the bar area.
Great Special Ribeye steak , corner private table by the window
Nice conversation with a friend, good ambiance and service
Great service and ambiance. Menu was not extensive but what we ordered was satisfying.
Consistently great cocktails, menu and service! Had a lovely evening. Great food even in times of a reduced menu. Service with Henry was wonderful! Thx...
This one of my favorite NYC lunch spots! The best!
Server was very nice and attempted food quality was ok I expected more from the rigatoni bolognese. Price fair
Server was very nice, food was great.
Would recommend
Food was okay, drink were okay, service good
Rue 57 had all the proper COVID-19 protocols in place making us feel safe to dine indoors as it turned out to be too cold outdoors.
Good service but overall the place is nothing special
Food was not good. Service was slow
Food was terrible, heavy and not tasty. Overpriced for what you get. I will not be returning.
It’s a great place. A favorite. The menu was limited. We understand.
Consistently great food, we are there all the time as we live in the neighborhood.
I used to love this place but the last visit was just bad. The food was cold and portions were smaller than before; we were outside in the cold and they have no heaters; and the server was just rude and inattentive.
Food was terrible. I ordered egg Benedict and it literally came as an egg on top of a muffin break, with nothing else. I could have made it home myself. Taste was bland as well.
As always consistent
Quality of food has been severely cheapened
Great choice for outdoor dining. Inside tables were well positioned, providing a safe indoor dining experience.
First indoor dining experience since limited capacity was allowed and it felt great. Thank you.
Excellent meal. First time in NYC since COVID. Good outside setting and nice staff.
Try to dine in - it’s very very noisey outside.
Lovely place but sidewalk dining is a challenge in midtown with frequent fire trucks. Looking forward to indoor dining again!
The brunch menu was extremely limited and did not include coffee or a drink as do most menus. We asked for bread and that was “extra”. While I love this place I felt that it was overpriced for brunch and I would not go back.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Rue 57 this weekend. After more than 20 years dining here, they continue to deliver good food, friendly service at a great location. While we did dine outside, that's nothing new as they've always been among the few in Midtown to offer alfresco dining.
My dish was the French Dip and it's among the best you'll ever taste outside of Paris. The bread was perfect (not to chewy like some baguettes) and the meat was exceptional. My wife had Salmon Lox on a bagel which she devoured.
As to our history with Rue 57, my wife and I both first dined here as tourist (before we met) with our parents in the late 90's. Now we both live here and Rue 57 remains one of our favorites!
Amazing, friendly service. Great distancing. Food always good and never disappoints.
This place has exceptional service. The professionalism they carry is impeccable. The food was impressive especially the skirt steak which was nice and juicy and chewy, the way I prefer all steak to be. I am definitely going to make it my common place to eat. I would also like to mention this restaurant serves for multiple occasions but open table would only allow me to make the choice of one.
Our waiter was amazing, food quality is okay for the price. Sat outside.
We were sitting outside on Sixth Ave - so it was noisy - no fault of the restaurant. The food was good as usual. Great place in midtown for a business lunch.
Eating outside creates many challenges. Rue 57 is doing the best it can under difficult conditions.
Agradecemos el esfuerzo en tiempos de Covid.
Gracias.
Service was great. Food was mediocre.
Great food and service
Rue 57 is one of our favorite bistros in the city. Always reliable food and service. Great, relaxing atmosphere (when you can eat inside). Since we're still in Covid-imposed outside dining, it was different this time, but since we had great weather, it worked fine. Fortunately traffic is still relatively light, so eating on the sidewalk isn't too bad and it was easy to carry on a conversation. Service was still good and the food was great. Try the crispy artichokes!
They were out of French toast. Not sure how that happens. Besides that everything was great!
Menú was very limited. Made reservations but table was not ready so we had to wait extra time. Not a big deal still had great service and we enjoyed our meal.
The service was perfect!! Given the times we are living in, they are doing their very best to make it a pleasant dining experience. You have to deal with the sound of traffic but that is the beauty of living in NYC!!! I recommend & will be back!!
Service was great, food was really good. Creme brulee yummm!
First time using outdoor dining. It was very pleasant
Rue 57 has done a very nice job of setting up sidewalk tables. They have wide sidewalks and many tables are under awnings. The food was excellent, how I have missed a quality French Onion soup! The service was friendly and attentive.
