French Onion Soup
lettuce, tomato, avocado, onion on a soft brioche roll. Served with a side of smoked bacon ketchup
I’ve never had a bad meal or experience here. Always good.
Our food was enjoyable, but service was disappointing. We had ask for one appetizer dish to come out as a part of our main meal. This did not occur and when it was pointed out to the server his solution was to say he'd bring out the rest of our food. We asked if the other food was even ready and he said yes. As it turned out, the other food was wasn't ready. We ended up waiting approximately 8 - 10 minutes for the other food leaving what was intended as a main course cold when the other food arrived. A better option would have been to offer to keep the food warm, or better yet, bring a new dish with the rest of the meal.
Food quality and service was very good. Slightly overpriced.
The food and service was excellent.
Always a love for brunch! Convenient, fresh with a large variety! Love the liveliness and older charm.
Food is always good. Right down the street from our apartment. Service was off last night. The whole place seemed a little confused. Again, food and drinks r good.
Excellent food and service but it’s a little too dark indoor.. had to use a flash light to see the menu and stairs which I find not safe.
Plenty of choices, good quality food, and perfectly situated in the middle of everything.
We made our reservation at the last minute, and were very pleased with our choice!
The service was excellent and the food was really good. Would definitely go again.
a place we regularly frequent when visiting New York
We always stay near Rue 57 when visiting NYC, and are always glad to go there. The food we had last night was outstanding - my husband enjoyed a special pasta, and I had the sea bass, with spinach and carrots. The fish came with a delicious buttery sauce, and the fish was cooked to perfection, not too dry, very tasty, wonderful. Our waitress was very nice and very funny. Portions were quite generous. Service was quick and quiet.
Old stand-bye but far from out of date. My first trip back post Pandemic and delighted it can still be my delicious ‘go-to.’
❤️ this place
Conveniently located and always good food, service and ambience
Chicken was cooked to perfection, the creme brulee the very best and the service great!
Wow! What a great dining experience! The cocktails are magnificent. I ordered the special tonight, meatloaf with Parmesan mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. Delicious. The brownie sundae was also a nice dessert to top off our excellent meal. Great service and ambiance for date night! We will return and highly recommend. Thank you!
Good Staff !! Appreciate that proofs of immunization are checked.
Excellent as always!
Went here with my son and his family. The extensive menu allowed everyone to find something they liked. Everyone enjoyed their meal… Not even a complaint from the kids! Staff was cordial and service was very good. I definitely would go back if I were in that part of NYC.
You can skip The Egg Benedict but the chicken and waffles is must have.
Great brunch menu - something for everyone! The oreo beignets were memorable!
Visiting New York to celebrate our grandson’s 10th birthday and we had a wonderful dinner at Rue 57. We dine here every time we’re in NYC. We are never disappointed!
Nuanced bistro fare with attentive service and charming ambience.
Great dinner, we stayed at the Conrad across the street & came by and lived the place!
We had a wonderful, relaxed Saturday brunch during our long weekend in NYC. The food was delicious and we had excellent and very attentive service.
We are visiting NYC.
Our server did an excellent job. We both got the Chilean sea bass and it was delicious.
please note that while asking to split the bill "the computer" "forgot" to split the suggested tip. it might lead to mistake and over paying. the waiter was not surprised, and said "it is the computer"
40th Wedding Anniversary
Wonderful Sunday brunch! Definitely on the keeper list. Highly recommend.
We went for Sunday brunch. The place was very crowded, but they had our table ready when we first arrived at our reservation time. Meal was delivered quickly and was quite good.
Food was delicious, service was great.
Service incredibly slow, some food came out completely cold and was taken off bill, with no substitute.
Our experience -- food, service, etc. -- was very good despite the adventure of a car fire directly across from the restaurant. The staff stayed calm, called 911, and quickly seated us at an indoor table (reserved a outdoor table). I would highly recommend the rocket salad (large enough to share as a starter) and the tagliatelli with truffles (truly rich and luscious).
A little to noisy for our group of four. Food is quite good, but a bit pricey. Overall, it is fine for an occasional sfop.
My wife and I have been coming every time we come to NYC (many years at least once/year) and it's our favorite in midtown. The pandemic did not change the high quality of the experience; still great.
Would have rated Food as 4-star because burger is very good. However, French fries not at all as good as pre-pandemic. I suspect the cooking oil has changed, unfortunately not for the better.
Great food and staff! Food came out very quickly.
Our experience was greatly enhanced by the excellent service of Muhammad; an outstanding member of the service team.
I was expecting more from this place. It was close to our hotel and we decided to go last minute. I ordered the special and it was lemon caper chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach. The overall flavor was good but for the price it was pretty basic. Also my potatoes and spinach were cold and my chicken was hot. I didn’t say anything because we were so hungry and we had somewhere to be. We will not go again 😏
