The Diver dole was excellent. The Caesar salad was just okay. Our wait staff was EXCELLENT!
I’m a neighborhood regular at Rue. Had an 11 am Friday client brunch. Always good!
Everything was well but the chairs a look old and used and the food can improve a little for the price
Rating would be higher but there was a bug in one bloody mary and we were still charged for the drink.
Large bustling restaurant barroom room space. Friendly touristy crowd. Food was pedestrian. My Salmon was over cooked.
The waiter was attentive as was the rest of the staff I just didn’t see the restaurant as a place for foodies
Good drinks, delicious food. Had vegetarian appetizers, steak frites, salmon, and desserts. Everyone loved their food. Our server, Josque was efficient and personable. Very nice experience.
Love the Sunday brunch.
Nice just a bit loud. Food was excellent!!
Waiter was a bit of a comedian - it other than that, good food.
My last meal at Rue 57 was over 4 years ago. It was a family favorite at that time---great food and service. I had seared tuna with pickled cucumber. The sauce was congealed on the plate and was unpleasant in taste. The tuna was equally unsatisfying.
Great food and service but somewhat noisy.
Seating was great and as requested. Service was good and food was well portioned and served hot.
Had a very pleasant experience at Rue 57. We chose this restaurant, having dined here in the past, and for its location in close proximity to Carnegie Hall, where we had tickets for an evening performance. From the courteous hostesses, all servers, our outstanding waiter, and especially the food, it exceeded our expectations and look forward to returning. Many thanks to all for a great evening!
Prix fixe dinner divine
I think that the wait staff was overwhelmed though my reservation was at 1:30 so they kept forgetting to bring things -- like water, bread, the check.
Nonetheless, it was great, as per always.
Great place for lunch
We are regulars at Rue 57. We've hosted small and large groups at this restaurant for years. This visit, however, was extremely disappointing - stemming from the behavior of the long, blonde haired hostess, whom abruptly removed us from a table another hostess was seating us at when we arrived on time for our reservation. That same hostess then began ousting other diners out of their existing tables as well in order to re-address seating for brunch. We then ended up waiting 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, while other tables remained empty in the restaurant. Unfortunately, this visit was Rude 57. I should mention that the food was outstanding and our waiter was wonderful. We did at one point ask another waiter to ask someone to bring water and another glass for our number of diners. He scoffed at us. Extremely disappointing.
Lovely ambiance, delicious breakfast, and outstanding service! The perfect Sunday morning in midtown.
Hangover Breakfast huge and good. Grilled cheese interesting (with pear!). Cheese Omelet very dry.
Food OK but the restaurant was so noisy that my friends and I could not talk to each other. That made for an unpleasant evening meal. I won't be back.
The service was impersonal. Sat beside servers station which was busy and distracting. The restaurant was so dark we had to use the light on our phones to read the menu. Food was bland and overpriced.
Great lunch option for MidTown. Service is quick and friendly. Lots of variety on the menu.
my sons birthday!
Slow service and the maitre d had attitude
Sushi was fantastic!
All was good except for the service not very welcoming
Mala atención. Comida mediocre.
It was a beautiful evening so we requested a table outside.
Our mistake , it was rush hour and noisy with traffic.
However , have dined outside at other times and it can be very pleasant.
Always good for omelets, avocado toast, lunch, and great coffee.
Excellent service and food. The brunch is very well done. A great variety of choices for food and drink. Everything prepared very well. The staff was extremely attentive and courteous. Would definitely return.
Lovely brunch in an upscale neighborhood. Great place for a day spent at Central Park or shopping along 5 th Avenue. Very busy. Eclectic menu- French but also a sushi bar. Order the bread basket ( not listed on menu we were given) for some of the best croissants we have had outside of Europe.beautiful downstairs special occasion room- wish I had an event to plan so I could use it!
Great service and the food was so good. We’ll be back!
Used opentable to book an impromptu Saturday brunch after having passed by this place several times. Chose outside seating on a nice day. All of the food was great. Our table was a bit wobbly and so we asked for a wedge to be put in, but the guy that put it should have been more careful as the my wife’s coffee spilled over and almost onto her. That would not have been good. Otherwise service, food and ambience was great.
NO AIR CONDITIONING. All of the doors were open to the sidewalk and it was a hot and humid night. It was very uncomfortable. If I had known that the restaurant would not be air conditioned in that heat, I would have gone somewhere else. The food was good but overall it was not a pleasant experience.
Menu was boring. I don’t think I’d be back. Sushi and Cuban Sandwiches at a French cuisine restaurant? No thanks. Not cheap. Expensive business lunch.
All good, but ambient street noise made lunch conversation very difficult.
Amazing!!! Literally anything you could want on the menu. Amazing staff, so sweet and accommodating. Will go back! Yummy yummy food for anyone!!!
The food is very good - a tad over priced but the convenience made up for it.
It was ok and very busy so the wait staff was not as attentive
We sat outside on a Sunday morning. Was a perfect weather day. Food was delicious. Bloody Mary spicy, just the way I like it. It was a bit pricey, but its NYC. Place was very busy, yet service was very good. Would definitely recommend and go back next time I am in the city.
